Very beautiful and dog friendly!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our visit! The cabin is very well equipped, with a convenient floor plan and the beds were comfy. The caretakers who live in a cabin nearby are very nice and helpful wanting to make sure we were comfortable.

The place was so nice and easy the we did not need any help from them. We really appreciated the great laundry room too! We were a family of 5 adults and 1 baby ; with 2 dogs. We as well as our dogs loved the open space in the yard and it was wonderful to have the creek beside us and a hot tub too! The guys and the dogs enjoyed the basketball court.

Beautiful house, perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at our last minute getaway to Black Mountain. The owner/manager was very helpful and accommodating considering we booked day of our trip. The house was beautiful and felt like a 2nd home. Very warm and had everything that you could need for a quick or long trip. Location is remote (in a great way) and allowed for some quite relaxation. Close enough to Black Mountain (10 minutes) but just far enough away. We will certainly be back. Our dogs loved it also :)

Altamonte Springs, Florida

A place to truly unplug and relax.

  • 5 of 5

My kids usually ask for a cruise so that dad can't have reception and Internet. Although this place did have Wi-Fi, using the phones was fine, but using the computer was a little more challenging for my husband. For us, it turned out to be great! We spent great quality time as a family making Smore's, going down by the creek in the backyard, and exploring the surrounding areas of Blackmountain the town, Waynesville, and Asheville. The hosts were very accommodating and we truly enjoyed our time there!

Peace and Tranquility

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the's reached via a twisting curvy road but we didn't have any difficulty getting to it in our van. The place feels cozy and is very private, even though the manager lives "up the hill" just beyond the cabin. Upon arrival Jennifer checked in with us as did the family dogs and cat! The kitchen was stocked with additional dry goods which was a bonus. Probably the highlight for us was asking the Barbashs to join us for a visit.....what great people! We will not forget our time here.
