Lovely cottage, great experience.

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay. Minor issue with the washer, but nothing we couldn't handle. Loved the area, great road for running. Would definitely recommend and rent again .

Very Cute!

  • 5 of 5

I enjoyed the stay at the cottage. It was available quickly which was a life saver. The owners were very kind and they allowed my dogs to come with which made me very happy. It is small which was fine with me. The master bed was comfortable. The guest bed squeaked every time you moved, but my son said it was fine. The yard is fenced in which was nice, but if you have a runners like I do, stay out there with them because they can get out of they really want to. Be sure to bring mosquito spray. The road was quiet which was nice to walk the dogs. The neighbors were really nice. I would definitely rent this cottage again.

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

The property has everything you need for your stay. Fishing was good. My son caught his first snook, over 30 inches. Took out the canoe, saw manatees, and more fishing. Catching up with old friends priceless. Will be booking this again.

We had a wonderful time! Myself and my 4 girlfriends rented this property for our spring break this year. The house was easy to find. Inside is cozy but is nicely and newly furnished. The close quarters didn't bother us, although the one bathroom took a while for us to all get ready. Everything was very clean and there was more than enough pots, pans, knives, and cups (all kitchen essentials really). The only thing we couldn't find was a cake pan for brownies we were going to make, but we made due with muffins. The house is located nicely between Bonita Springs beach and Fort Myers beach and not far from Sanibel. Day one we saw dolphins in the canal while canoeing and the neighbors were nice in offering to help with the canoe, although we were able to get it in the water ourselves. The back house was a lovely place to read in the mornings and the fans and AC in the house worked great! Over all we had a lovely time and all 5 of us said that we would come back.

Outdated and Cluttered

  • 1 of 5

Two of us stayed here on an extended guys golf trip. This house was clean but cluttered. No drawer space available nor above the closets. Both were filled with linens. Lots of linens. The amount of furniture made it feel cramped. We stumbled to get around the furniture at times. One of the bikes was missing the back wheel bearings so the wheel wobbled and the tire was bald. Maybe from excessive wear from the wobbling. We didn't feel we would return from a bike ride without a flat or breakdown of the rear wheel. The kayak and canoe were "tired" as well. We did not attempt to float either one.

The beds were not comfortable. The electrical switches in the house were confusing. It was hard to determine which switch operated what. The shower in the bathroom was very nice. That was the best area / item in the house. Only enough parking for one vehicle, wasn't an issue for us. Street parking is otherwise available. Homeowner was not timely in some communications before our arrival.

A few pieces of advice for the owners: A welcome note with general instructions and maybe some fresh fruit would make you feel more welcome! A small play pen for baby would also be helpful. Okay for 2 to 3 people. Not kid friendly. Beds are super uncomfortable!! And it's hard to sleep well with no doors on the bedrooms when others are awake. Also, if you have a hard time with noise... planes fly over the house every half hour or so and the neighbors are quite rowdy on the weekend.

Owner's Response: You should have told us that you have an infant. We have a pack & play portable crib. There is fresh fruit on the property depending on what time of the year you visit. You had a bad review with the cape coral house as well. I have a feeling that no matter what we did, you would not have been satisfied. You left the house very dirty & it was obvious that you were angry. You should buy a home of your own in FL so that you can make it what you want. My husband spent an hr. with you when you checked in so I do not know why you would feel that you were not welcomed.
