This fabulous home is new to the vacation rental market and it shows. The owners have spared no expense in remodeling the home inside and out while preserving its classic Coronado cottage style. On the inside you can enjoy the fresh sea air while watching one of the numerous brand new large flat panel televisions which adorn the house or listen to music while preparing food in the spacious kitchen perfect for hosting friends and family. This is also the ideal home to relax outside as it was made for entertaining. Step outside into the large backyard and outdoor living areas and you will find a beautiful pool and spa surrounded by luscious landscaping, a large deck outfitted with patio furniture and a barbecue ready for your outdoor grilling pleasure.

The Coronado Cottage is the place to stay in Coronado. It's perfectly located on a quiet street within walking distance to the beach, golf course, ferry landing, marina, various shops, restaurants and bars on Orange Avenue, and The Famous Hotel Del Coronado. This newly remodeled home features 4 bedrooms each with a private full bath, 3 flat screen TV's, and fast WIFI internet access.

But you are not going to this premier beach destination just to stay inside. Why not take a stroll or bike and enjoy what the Travel Channel calls the “Top Beach in Southern California” or golf at Coronado Golf Course less than three blocks away which is consistently ranked among the top public courses in the United States or browse the endless array of charming shops and boutiques. If you are an outdoors person, there is literally no shortage of things you can do from surfing, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking or sailing on the water to fishing and tennis. It is all at your fingertips and, please don’t worry about the weather, it always cooperates. Once you’ve stayed here, you’ll know why many call this the finest place in the nation to walk, bike or roller blade on miles and miles of flat paths surrounded by beautiful scenery. Coronado Island is truly a wonderful and unique resort community. Established in the early 17th century, it was discovered by Spanish explorer Sebastian Vizcaino who named the group of islands stretching seventeen miles “Las Islas Coronadas”. Perhaps nothing epitomizes the charm and beauty of Coronado Island more than the world famous Hotel del Coronado whose guest have included every President from William Howard Taft to George Bush. Likewise, you will be hard pressed to find a celebrity or famous individual who has not visited The Del. From Charles Lindbergh, Charlie Chaplin, and Walt Disney to Steven Spielberg and Denzel Washington, the list of celebrities that have frequented the Del since it’s opening reads like the “who’s who” of Hollwood Royalty. You owe to yourself to stop by and eat at one of the many culinary renowned restaurants or enjoy on the beach deck at the Del or one of the countless number of outdoor cafes and local pubs.

There is, however, no reason to limit your time to one place while staying at this stunning home on a breathtaking island. Hop on the ferry or drive over the bridge and enjoy the World Famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World or one of the many museums in San Diego’s Balboa Park. Wonderful Coronado Get Away

This home is a wonderful Coronado destination. The home is clean, updated with modern amenities, has incredibly comfortable common space, a big pool, hot tub, and all items you need for a beach vacation (chairs, towels, boogie boards, bicycles). There are three main bedrooms for use, although you could fit someone on the fold-out coach in the room off of the kitchen. The street where this home is located is next to two big parks with playsets, so if you have young children or active older children, you are set and would never even need to hit the beach.

The location is good. You have a 10 minute easy walk to town and a short drive to the beach (if you are taking chairs, otherwise you could walk). We chose this home over a home directly in town because of the pool, the ample parking, and the more relaxed vibe that comes from being several blocks off of the busy main street (Orange).

It's hard to tell from the photos, but the kitchen flows into the dining room and living room area, so it is very easy to entertain. We had an incredible time here and look forward to returning.

Perfect Location!

An absolute slice of paradise! The house is inviting, clean, well maintained, and the back yard is incredible! You truly don't need to leave the property, but if you do, you are in a perfect location. A short walk to Hotel Del and downtown Coronado! Wish we could have spent more time here!

We highly recommend staying at our piece of heaven, but only when we are not going to be there....... Location, location, location. The home is beautiful, CLEAN, well-appointed with all upscale appliances and details. The beds are first rate with comfortable bedding and furniture. The home is in a perfect location where you can walk to town, the beach, and the stores. The neighborhood is great and the neighbors could not be nicer. The pool and hot tub were an extra bonus.

The owners of the home are great to do work with. I would recommend this home without exception.

We can’t wait to go back. THANK YOU

I can't say enough good things about the home or the owners. They were very accommodating and pleasant to work with. The home had everthing we needed for our families extended stay. I've already booked our return.

Coronado is a beautiful little beach community, this home is the perfect compliment to the island lifestyle.

A damage deposit is required of $1500 and is fully refundable with in 21 days of departure if no damage is done to the property and no excessive use of utilities. It is in addition to the VRBO required one. In the interest of longer term tenants, we are flexible with pricing for stays longer than 31 days. We are required to pay an occupancy guest tax to the county of San Diego. A 10.5% tax or TOT will be collected from all guests with stays shorter than 29 nights. This TOT fee may be reflected in your rental contract.

The convenience fee of 3% for credit card purchases is passed onto the guest and will be reflected in your rental contract.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
