The Barefoot Bungalow offers great rates with perfect location. It consists of 4 bedrooms, (2 masters) all with televisions and private full baths. Each floor has a balcony with seating and a table. It's perfect for two families with children and the grandparents. Home features a well-stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops to make cooking for your crew a pleasure. If you don’t want to cook inside, use the new gas grill that's on the new 15x40 outdoor living space with couch, chairs and dining table. The outdoor patio is my favorite place to spend time relaxing. The open living room and dining area provide a large dining room table and barstools for comfortably seating 8-12, a sofa that pulls out to sleep an additional 2 on its queen mattress, a 55' flat-screen LED television and BLUE-RAY that you can watch from any point on the main floor. There is also high speed wireless internet/WiFi. The first floor also features a half bath and full size washer/dryer.
This private home has one of the closest beach accesses on 30A. Park you car in the driveway and it's only a short walk to everything you need. No more up and down 30A to find parking and a beach access. This property does not have a pool but we are so close to the beach you don't need it. You can go to the beach and come home for lunch. Or, you can walk to Gulf Place, the perfect stop for lunch, pizza, ice cream or a nice dinner. You can also walk to La Playa in/outdoor bar or the new Growler Garage as you make your way to and from the beach. You will enjoy the unique boutique shopping, day spa, the shop at the fun and colorful artist colony and an outdoor pavilion featuring live music during the spring and summer. In the morning Gulf Place is a great place to get a coffee, pastry or breakfast. All with in walking distance.
The Barefoot Bungalow is located on the slower, family side of 30A. It's close enough to visit but away from the traffic of Seaside, Seagrove and Destin. Sliver Sands mall is 12-15 minutes, Grayton and Seaside are 5-7 minutes. There are many great restaurants close by, some of our favorites are The Perfect Pig, Preacher's kitchen, La Playa, Pizza by the Sea, 30A Deli, South of Philly, 98 Bar-B-Que, Stinky's, and The Red Bar. The Publix grocery store is 3 miles away on Highway 98. The Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club, an 18-hole semi-private course, is within a half mile from the house. It is the only course in the Destin area with two holes backing up to the Gulf of Mexico. Golf Magazine described the Santa Rosa Golf Club as 'The Purest Golf in the Florida Panhandle'. The club was named the 'Readers Choice' award by Florida Golf Magazine. You get the best of both worlds in that you are a short 3-5 minute walk to the beach, an easy walk to shopping and dining, but you can retreat to a quiet, private community. Your children can ride bikes in the cove. You have access to the owner's shed which contains bikes, beach chairs, a beach caddy, wagon and beach toys, these are there for you to use but are not guaranteed. Use the wagon or beach caddy to carry chairs, coolers to the beach. You not only have the beach you can explore the numerous bike, walking and nature trails along 30A.
The Santa Rosa community will remind you of the Florida of yesteryear, a place without miles and miles of high rises. It is best known for wide stretches of nationally-renowned beaches, intercostal lakes, lots of sidewalks and footpaths. There is a 23-mile paved bike and walking path running alongside 30A. Santa Rosa Beach was named one of the “10 Best Beach Destinations for 2011” by Yahoo! Travel, which praised its “lapping waves and cool sand” and the endless array of outdoor and indoor activities. You can't beat the Sunrise or Sunsets.
This is a non-smoking and pet-free home. We pride ourselves in providing a clean and comfortable home for our guests. This home is deep-cleaned several times a year and professionally cleaned at the departure of each guest.

• The Damage Waiver has been charged in the event something within our property is accidentally damaged during your stay. However there is a monetary limit of coverage that varies per property. All claims must be reported and approved by management in order to be covered by the damage waiver. Please inquire as to the monetary limit this property is covered for.

Chic Designer Beach Home! Short Walk To Beach/Gulf Place!
Wow! We had a wonderful time! It was so fun to be able to walk to the beach, which was so beautiful! It was really fun to get away for even just a weekend. Thanks for letting us use your beach house!
The living area/kitchen were small but we had 5 adults and we were very comfortable. Nice-size table for meals. The bedrooms were nice although some of the mattresses could use updating---even so the beds were still pretty comfortable and the porch off each bedroom was nice. Nice back patio with ample seating and a grill. The property was very clean and we got an immediate response from management when we arrived earlier than expected and asked to check in a little early. All in all a very nice rental in a quiet neighborhood in a great location, especially for the off-season. There was a good restaurant ( Perfect Pig) within walking distance and a nice coffee shop for early mornings on the beach. Nice pub right down the street that has outdoor seating and draws a good crowd.
We stayed at this property in July and had a pretty good experience. It's about a 5 minute walk or 1-2 minute bike ride from the beach. There are some great shops nearby, including a coffee shop with some of the best donuts you've ever had if you get there early enough. There was a shed out back with bikes, toys, a cooler, caddy, and more. There were also beach towels stored in the unit. There is a shower out back to rinse off after being out at the beach. There is plenty of seating for 12 people, and the sofa pulls out into a bed. All of the bedrooms are on the second and third floors, but each bedroom leads out to a balcony. The street is a VERY quiet dead-end. There was parking for three cars. We did not have any trouble getting into the unit or checking out the day of departure.
Our ONLY dislike was how long it took to get a hold of the property manager prior to our trip. We tried to reach out by email/phone/voicemail multiple times to ask a question before finally reaching someone. I'm not sure how that would have played out if we actually had any type of issue on our trip. However, the home was in GREAT condition and we did not have any issues. One other note - We would have preferred to communicate through the VRBO messaging system, but Sand Dollar One (the property management company) was not willing to do that once the unit was booked. They sent us a separate email address to use once the unit was booked and stopped responding to our VRBO messages after we made the first payment. Even using the new email address, though, we had a difficult time reaching anyone or getting someone to call us back/email us back after paying. But again, this was only a minor issue for us and we would use the company again.
We had 2 families stay in the Barefoot Bungalow, there were plenty of Bedrooms and more importantly Bathrooms. The location was nice, close enough to the beach to walk, it took maybe 5 minutes. There were toys, chairs, and umbrellas in the shed; which also included a beach buggy to hall of the stuff. It was clean and had all the amenities needed for a week long stay. I recommend this property for large or small families looking for a place outside of the busy Destin areas. We had a blast.
I am in charge of renting a house for our family every single year. It's always a little unnerving to see what we end up in. This house was awesome! It was so clean and really felt like a home instead of a "rental" beach home. The the number of bedrooms and bathrooms fit us to a tee! The bikes were a huge hit as the beach is a little ways from the house. Amy is a delight to work with. We really enjoyed our week and can't wait to do it again soon.
Loved the Barefoot Bungalow! The home is very clean and well appointed with everything needed to have a carefree great time. Loved how the beach, restaurants and shops were all within walking distance. Other great shops and restaurants are just a short car ride away. Would definitely recommend to everyone I know and would like to stay again next year.
Our stay was great. The house is perfect it is like new and the beach access is wonderful. All the extras of the property is a big plus such as the grille,bikes and beach chairs and wagon. Everything you need is close by such as the publix and plenty of places to eat out if you wish. Me and my family cannot wait until we can go again and will for sure stay here again next time
