This lovely, large house is ideal for big house parties, family group celebrations and holidays. Tone Dale House is an elegant Georgian Palladian style Villa, set in four acres, with the mill stream running alongside it. There is a large, luxury hot tub on the terrace for guests to enjoy.
The property comprises the main house sleeping 21 and the Stables can also be hired to accommodate a further 10. But if you don't require it, the Stables are never let separately. The main house is large enough and fully equipped for 31 guests. The grounds including terrace are stylishly landscaped giving total privacy to guests. First built by Thomas Fox in 1797, the house and gardens have been carefully restored and are still owned by the same family.
Entrance is through the grand (40ft) Hall. Off the hall is a fully equipped kitchen together with a utility and jam room. There is a large gas range cooker and a separate electric oven, 2 dishwashers and a plentiful supply of pans, cooking equipment, cutlery, crockery and glasses. There are 2 dining rooms, one tends to be used for breakfast and lunch and the red dining room is wonderful for a special candelit dinner.
The drawing room is where guests can unwind in comfort and style with a roaring log fire, amid many antiques and family portraits. The more energetic can enjoy the Long Room for a game of table tennis or pool or try their hand at the roulette wheel.
The party room.
Leading from the red dining room, the air conditioned party room has a 60 inch plasma screen and an integrated sound and lighting system which is ideal for your own disco. It makes the perfect finale to a celebration dinner.
There are seven bedrooms (and 6 shower/bathrooms) all reflecting fascinating and different aspects of the history of the house and family. They are comfortably furnished, with sumptuous beds, 3 are en suite. The 11th bedroom is the Laundry, a charming, double height bedroom suite with a gallery and its own bathroom.
Originally the maids' quarters, but today there is a twin bedded room and a double/twin room with a further walk through single room.
In total the main house has 11 bedrooms and 7 bath/shower rooms.
Nestled in the garden adjacent to the main house, the Stables provide elegant accommodation for up to 10 guests. The beautifully appointed kitchen is ideal for a morning brew, but the guests would then join in the main house for all meals and entertainment.
The ground floor has two bedrooms and one shower room. Upstairs there are a further three bedrooms and a bathroom.
In total the Stables has 5 bedrooms and 2 bath/shower rooms.
