Loon Lake Place
The Lake Place is on Arnold Road, Loon Lake. Enjoy 53 feet of prime, flat waterfront, 30 feet from the house. A sandy beach, a vinyl EZ dock with a slide and benches, and a great swimming area surrounded by spectacular views of the Lake and the meadow. Relax around the fire-pit in the evening and enjoy the sunsets with its spectacular views.
The house is air conditioned for the summer. A gas stove and a furnace warm the house during the cold winter. Constructed in 2014, the house features large windows and doors a 180-degree view of the lake and meadow. Vaulted fir-beamed ceilings give a spacious feeling in every room. Three of the bathrooms have showers. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and large closets with plenty of storage. The white oak floors give the house a backwoods feel in an incredible lake and pastoral setting.
Loon Lake Place is a great base for year around activities. If you fish, Loon Lake has a variety of lunker lake species: Kokanee/silvers, Mackinaw, rainbow trout, bass, blue gill, crappy, and perch. Expect to see a menagerie of wildlife: bald eagles, osprey, great blue herons, ducks, geese, deer, an occasional moose, and, yes, loons in late Fall and early Spring.
Cell phone reception is excellent with most carriers. The internet connection keeps you connected.

Jon and Carol both grew up in Odessa, Washington. Jon graduated from Gonzaga University. He was on a basketball scholarship when Gonzaga won the Big Sky Conference title. His Junior year, Jon attended Gonzaga-in-Florence in Italy. Carol attended Eastern Washington University. Jon was a Captain in the U.S. Army and a Vietnam veteran. Currently they live in Mukilteo.
Jon or Carol Evavold purchased this house in 1984
Jon grew up on a lake in Odessa and always enjoyed being able to swim, water ski, and ice skate in the winter. It was a life style we wanted to continue and to offer to our daughters and friends. We came to Loon Lake in 1974 with friends whose parents owned a home on the lake. We purchased our cabin in the fall of 1984 from a retired couple who were moving to Olympia. Since then old cabin was always a gathering place that was shared and enjoyed by many. We decided to demolish the old cabin and build a place we could use year round, and also be large enough for guests to gather and enjoy. Loon Lake is just the place to come if you want have fun, relax, and enjoy the beauty that abounds. Wonderful sunrises and sunsets make the setting incomparable. Loon Lake is located close to 49 Degrees North's ski resort. Down town Spokane is a 45 minute drive from Loon Lake. Coeur d' Alene, Idaho is about an hour away. The best of all worlds are close at hand.
The Lake Place is a new custom built home that has all modern conveniences, appliances, and utilities. It has a master suite with a sitting room and a private balcony where you can 'kick back' and take in breathtaking views of the lake. The Lake Place offers wonderful, private, sandy beach, E-Z dock, (no slivers in this dock), and a perfect swim area with a water slide. A canoe and kayaks are available to explore the surrounding water ways. A fire pit area is perfect for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the galaxy of stars (the Big Dipper is straight north). A Traeger BBQ is located on the brick patio is just outside the kitchen. An outdoor shower with hot water is located on the patio. Stone steps and a 'sky bridge' lead to an elegant garden 'get away' (we call it the 'Cinque Terre'). The views from the Cinque Terre need to be experienced to be appreciated.
This home is incredibly beautiful in addition to being very clean and modern! We had a family reunion complete with bbq, swimming, hiking, and campfires - everyone had a wonderful time and raved about the accommodations. When the weather got cloudy, we took advantage of the huge TV to watch sports. The owners are extremely nice and very responsive to questions. We felt very lucky to have found this rental and would highly recommend it to friends & family.
Perfect place for a multi- family vacation. The house is stunning, back tiered gardens are beautiful. We brought boat and jet skis, dock was ample for all. The lake is great, not too big, not too little, warm, and just steps from the house. The beds were very comfortable, which is not always the case. Amazing artwork all through out the house from property owners added a unique, personal touch. I got the feeling that this is a special place to them. Recently completed bunk house up above was perfect for out two teenage boys. Town of Loon Lake has a hardware/grocery store that had everything we needed while vacationing. It is exactly what you picture a small town having. We loved it.Will definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a off the grid vacation. Will likely return ourselves. Thank you Jon and Carol for sharing this treasure with us.

We had a fantastic time! The lake house was a great place to stay with our kids, spouses and grandkids. The setting is beautiful and the house is one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. The owners were very helpful in explaining the amenities and making us feel welcome. The beach, dock and fire pit were perfect for water activities and family fun. I highly recommend this property!
The House was beyond beautiful! The owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. The house was beautifully stocked and comfortable. The weekend we stayed was the only rainy weekend of the entire summer and we still had a great time! The house has large spaces for playing games and enjoying each others company. Carol told us about a new distillery in town, Two Loons Distillery so we went for a tour and went to the towns 2nd hand stores. So even though it rained we had plenty to do. We will definitely be back!!
My family of four fit marvelously in this huge beautiful house on the water. Don't bother packing beach towels, toiletries, or cooking condiments... This place has it all!! Beautifully landscaped and attention to detail in every room...we will be back!
Our 2 families (4 adults and kids ranging from 4-17) stayed over an extended 4th of July weekend and had the best time. First off this home is even more beautiful than in the pictures. All bedding was comfortable, plenty of sleep room for everyone, fully furnished anything you may need they already have there for you and it was very clean. We believe the true gem is the property itself, the beach area was perfect, the fire pit area near the beach provided some of our favorite moments each day and the beauty of the back mountain side was like nothing we have seen. These owners put their heart and sole into this home and it shows. We can not wait to be back year after year!
