THREE QUEEN BED, LRG BACKYARD, AWESOME FRONT PORCH! ONE BLK TO STREET CAR

Beautiful home in a great location, right next to St Charles Avenue and the St Charles Street car is one block away and is 1.25 per person! Just steps from Commander's Palace. Right on the Mardi Gras Parade route. Beautiful, beautiful large fenced backyard and super cool front porch with gorgeous detailed iron work gate. High ceilings, hardwood floors, pocket doors, remodeled kitchen, bath, and laundry room. It has a front porch and plenty of street parking. Real New Orleans style living in a classic Greek Revival. Central air conditioning and central heat--there is a ceiling fan in every room. Pocket doors separate two parlors, transom windows and high ceilings and beautiful hardwood floors and wall moldings, fireplaces. Brand new paint job on the entire exterior. . There is Garden District security included as well as fridge, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, bathroom has a clawfoot tub/shower The third bedroom is in a private parlor which can also be the dining room. Pets ok with a fee, contact me first.

House Rules

Please respect my home and neighborhood is all I ask. No parties at the house please. There's plenty to do in New Orleans if you want to party. If you have a problem, please give me a call.

Please read my house rules when you arrive. Use the rod for opening and closing the curtains PLEASE!!!!!!

There's one parking spot on street in front of the home or across the street has many spots. Please don't park in front of the neighbors homes, they don't like that.

Also do not do laundry before 9am or after 9pm if you desire to do laundry.

House quiet hours are posted on the front and back doors, please abide by them as you are the only ones on vacation, the neighbors still have to work in the morning, PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL!!!

I live in Manhattan Beach, CA and travel to NOLA frequently. We own this duplex and our daughter lives on the other side. She and I can help with questions or concerns. I do ask that you respect our neighbors and not to park in front of the neighbor's homes. There is a space in front of our home or on the other side of the street. Thanks for your respect of our 1860 home that was built when Abraham LIncoln was President. It's survived many a storm as it's very well built!

Wonderful house in a Quintessential Neighborhood-- must stay!

This house was so cute and such a perfect quick getaway! The house was in a perfect location, amazing place to walk to so many things and enjoy the beautiful trees and scenery. The neighborhood was quiet and the house was clean and had everything we need! Liz was a gracious host and we would definitely come back to stay here again!

Charming and Authentic in the Garden District

Our family gathered for a special birthday and we were so fortunate to land in this wonderful house. It is a true and authentic NOLA experience in this charming neighborhood. All of the creature comforts of home were available to us during our stay. Everything you could possibly hope to do in New Orleans is a walk, cable car, or uber away from this famed location. The owners, Liz and Dave love their city, and were the ultimate insider tour guides, assisting us with the very best restaurant reservations and recommending all of the MUST SEE and DO's. One of the highlights of our trip was having lunch at Commanders Palace, which is about a block away. Good thing too with those 25 cent martinis! Yes! 25 cents!! We can't wait to get back and explore more of this rich city from this great property! ❤️

Great Place with a great location

We had a great time In New Orleans and this house was a great location that served our needs. We had three couples so it was a little tight with one bathroom but we made it work.

From the house we were able to walk to Magazine, hop on the street car, or be in the quarter within 15 mins with an Uber.

Nice place to stay

This was our first visit to New Orleans, and we loved the location of this property, we felt right in the heart of the garden district, loved the old homes and architecture. The home was clean and spacious for our family (although who couldn't use one more bath!) The kitchen was perfect for lite cooking, and everything worked fine, might just need a brighter bulb.

The bath sink drained a bit slow, but loved the clawed tub with the rain shower head! Parking was not a problem even though there was some construction going on across the street. A busy neighborhood, but not noisy and we loved sitting on the front porch and waving hello to all the passerbys from the neighborhood. Had a fabulous dinner at Commander Palace, which is just around the corner. We did a lot of exploring of the area, and this property is in a great location to be based to get around the city.

Owner's Response: Thanks for letting us know about the bathroom sink, we had no idea so we can fix that. The kitchen does have lights below the counters that maybe you didn't realize and this makes it a lot brighter. Glad you had fun at our home! We love it too! Thanks again for your stay!

The French Quarter is two miles away on the street car which is one block away. Mercedes Benz Superdome is 2 miles away and Harrahs Casino is 2 miles away and Magazine Street is 6 blocks away. Historic St Charles Street is one block away. Lots of public transportation so you really don't need a car. The best restaurants in America are in New Orleans. Eat, Drink and Be Merry!
