Please respect my home and neighborhood is all I ask. No parties at the house please. There's plenty to do in New Orleans if you want to party. If you have a problem, please give me a call.
Please read my house rules when you arrive. Use the rod for opening and closing the curtains PLEASE!!!!!!
There's one parking spot on street in front of the home or across the street has many spots. Please don't park in front of the neighbors homes, they don't like that.
Also do not do laundry before 9am or after 9pm if you desire to do laundry.
House quiet hours are posted on the front and back doors, please abide by them as you are the only ones on vacation, the neighbors still have to work in the morning, PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL!!!
Enjoy NOLA, there's no place like it!

About Liz Stromath
'Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans?' I am in Love with NOLA, love the music, culture, architecture, history and of course the food! I live in Manhattan Beach, CA and travel to NOLA frequently. We own this duplex and our daughter lives on the other side. She and I can help with questions or concerns. I do ask that you respect our neighbors and not to park in front of the neighbor's homes. There is a space in front of our home or on the other side of the street. Thanks for your respect of our 1860 home that was built when Abraham LIncoln was President. It's survived many a storm as it's very well built!

The “shotgun” style home was well equipped and comfortable. The location was great!
The property owner, Liz, was a great communicator and attentive and accommodating. The house has a lovely backyard with lights to sit under at night!! Easy to get to Audubon zoo, downtown to French quarter and walking distance to a grocery store, bakery and restaurants. The hardwood floors were shiny and quiet to walk on and the decor was unique and festive! Would definitely stay here again.
Thanks for your stay, we loved having you!
Great stay for St Patrick’s Day!
Property was comfortable and walking distance to Magazine St. and cemeteries. It was more spacious than pictured and the owner was easy to work with. Parking was also surprisingly easy.
Sweet house, nice location
The house was very cute and comfortable. Nice walking distance to Magazine and Irish Channel area.
Thank you, come again! We enjoyed having you!
Perfect for our girl's trip!
The house is well appointed and charming for sure and conveniently located to the St. Charles streetcar stop and a short walk to Magazine St. It was our firsts time staying in the Garden District and it was delightful. Liz is a great host and easy to communicate with.
Thank you for your stay! Great guests and very respectful of my home. Copme back any time, would love to have you all again!
Good location, be aware it’s a shotgun house with all rooms opening into each other so less privacy.
House is pretty comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. We did have trouble at the end of our stay. After the landlady tried twice to get us to leave before checkout time, which we really didn’t want to do, the housekeepers came a half hour early. We did end up leaving 15 minutes early. The daughter of the owner who lives next door was really snippy to us but we did nothing wrong. In fact we started the laundry early for them as requested. We were made to feel bad when we wanted to stay until checkout time.
We're sorry that you felt rushed to be out by the agreed upon check-out time but as previously communicated to you we had a quick turn-around for New Years Eve guests. It was also unexpected for the maid service to show up early and something we couldn't control. They did wait until you left to start. Every bedroom in our home has privacy doors. There’s only one room that has to walk thru to the private bath. The two other bedrooms have access to the bath without walking through.
We're glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay in our classic New Orleans home.
Quick weekend getaway
Gracious and generous host, lovely home, great location. Our family had a quick weekend getaway to New Orleans and this was the perfect place to stay and relax. Plenty of room, quiet, clean and comfortable.
The French Quarter is two miles away on the street car which is one block away. Mercedes Benz Superdome is 2 miles away and Harrahs Casino is 2 miles away and Magazine Street is 6 blocks away. Historic St Charles Street is one block away. Lots of public transportation so you really don't need a car. The best restaurants in America are in New Orleans. Eat, Drink and Be Merry!
