Property description

This historic adobe home built in 1890 is situated on what many might call Santa Fe's most charming street. Casa Mariposa/Zia boast the best East side location just one and a half blocks to Canyon Road and six blocks to the Plaza. Park your car and walk everywhere. Mingle with local artist at the nearby coffee shop The Down Town Subscription or browse what has been voted Santa Fe's best bookstore. Both of these great hang outs are one half a block from your home. Your home is secluded and quiet on a dead end street, located in a peaceful residential neighborhood, yet so close to all the attractions of Santa Fe.

Perfect for a family reunions, girlfriend getaways or just about any group this four bedroom three bath home can sleep up to 10 people. The first master has a stunning hand carved Spanish head board, king size bed and its own flat screen TV. The second bedroom has a hand carved traditional New Mexican bed frame, queen size bed and flat screen. This room also features a romantic traditional Kiva fireplace, wood floors and coved ceilings with vigas. The third bedroom is another master suite with a queen size bed. The fourth bedroom has bunk beds made in Taos. The bottom bunk is a full size bed and the top bunk is a twin. The bedroom looks out into your large back yard. This is a small yet charming room with a large closet and shelves. Please look at the photographs to better understand the size of the room. The fourth bathroom is off of the kitchen for all to use and has a shower only. (All told there are 6 beds including the queen size sleeper in the living room).

After a hard day of sightseeing you can all relax in the awesome back yard or in the living room /dining room. This room has a queen size sleeper sofa, leather chairs wood floors and a hand carved dining room table and chairs that sit eight. There is another flat screen TV in this room as well. The windows in the living room look out to blooming fruit trees. Off the living room is a desk and chair as a private space to catch up on emails.

Have a kitchen party and keep the chief company in the roomy kitchen featuring Mexican tile counter tops, wooden floors and coved viga ceilings, as well as sky lights.

Step outside into your spacious and secluded back yard. Relax under a gorgeous old tree or join your friends for a barbecue under the gazebo. After a long day of seeing the sites unwind in your outdoor hot tub.
