Booked for a family trip with the in laws. So much space! They had a room to themselves as did we and my brother in law had a choice where to sleep each night!
The best choice to feel like a real new yorker! Lots of places to eat and drink in walking distance. Subway also just up the road. Lots of space to eat in and relax.
We used Mali for both transfers with baggage collection, no problems at all.
So much better than a hotel! Loved this place would love to come back!
Rooms were clean and the decor was lovely!
We are four 'mature' women from Colorado, and this beautiful apartment completely met our needs. Just a couple of blocks from a subway stop, Whole Foods, and a great selection of excellent restaurants. Just one little hiccup, and they were able to respond within the hour. Would definitely visit one of their properties again.
Very clean and well maintained. Good location. Staff was super-- very responsive and accommodating. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
Having stayed here for 5 nights in the beginning of December I can thoroughly recommend this as the perfect location for a girly Xmas shopping trip to NYC.
This apartment was plenty big enough for us 3 girls (and our numerous shopping bags!), very easy to walk to the shops around Spring, Prince and Mercer Street. If anything much nicer to shop at this end of the city as althought busy not as much of a scrum as up towards Macy's, etc.
Plenty of decent eating places 5 point was a great restaurant with plenty of atmosphere. Would return tomorrow.....................................................
Just returned from a fantastic holiday at the East Village Appartments, in the penthouse. Having stayed in hotels during previous visits to NYC it made a massive difference to have a huge comfortable living area, full kitchen and a huge outdoor terrace in which to relax after a day of walking around.
The location is perfect, the subway is within a few minutes walking distance and Greenwich Village, the West Village, Meatpacking district, Chinatown and Little Italy are all easily reached on foot, as is the legendary Katz's Deli!
At night you are simply spoilt for choice for eating and drinking places and don't need to go more than a few hundred meters. I can recommend "Gemma" at The Bowery (at the end of the street), Phebe's bar (one street up) and Double Crown for some absolutely diven British-Asian dishes.
You will not be disappointed here!
the penthouse apartment is lovely, well decorated and very spacious. we stayed in early september and the location is also perfect, very lively but also safe and quiet with lots to do, see, eat, and lots of nice shops nearby. I would recommend to others and would also stay here again very happily.
It was also very clean and the housekeeper is really helpful. Having outside space to enjoy during a heatwave was also a big advantage! Also, the owner provides helpful tips and advice on your stay, including suggestions for great shops and resaturants. Thanks Sudha!
What a fantastic place to stay! Located in a fascinating part of New York and easily accessible via bus, subway and taxis, it was a perfect place for our 5 day stay with two teenage sons. Booking via the website was very straight forward, we received a wealth of information ranging from local places to eat, things to do and options on how best to get there from Kennedy Airport so felt very prepared before we even arrived.
The Apartment Royale was spotlessly clean and we were made very welcome by the housekeeper. The owner phoned the next day to see if we had settled in okay and both offered assistance whenever needed. Our tall sons (both over 6 feet) were very comfortable on the sofa beds, and the kitchen, whilst small, had more than enough to manage basic meals in the unlikely event you don't want to eat out. Very efficient, free internet access was also greatly appreciated.
It didn't take long to find our "regular" local coffee shop and some great dining experiences, thanks to the information provided in the apartment. It was a great location to explore Manhattan from. The housekeeper kindly let us view the Garden Apartment after tenants had vacated- it looked wonderful and we look forward to going back very soon.
