Its location is close to the main train station Santa Maria Novella, and about 5 minutes away from the church of Santa Maria Novella. It is also extremely easy to reach the Lungarno rivers, Via Tornabuoni, the Duomo, and Ponte Vecchio. The community theater is also about a 5 minute walk away. In the area there are excellent restaurants, bars, and mini supermarkets.
Internal description:Modern apartment (70 m2 / 753 sq ft) with 2 bedrooms that can sleep up to 4 people and has 2 bathrooms. It is situated on two floors. The first floor has a spacious and bright living room furnished with modern furniture, a well furnished modern kitchen with a dining area with bar chairs. One bedroom has a double pull out couch and a large closet. Guests can reach the second floor from the kitchen using an external staircase or from the living room using the spiral staircase. Upstairs there is a bedroom with double bed and a small plasma TV. This room is very relaxing and looks out upon a sports field.
Independent heating.Air conditioning: one split in the living room and one in the bedroom.
Our opinion:Ideal for a family or for two couples looking for a short-term rental. Perfect for those who want a property close to the wonders of Florence and more importantly, for those who want to be close to the central train station.

Area:The apartment is located near the piazza of Santa Maria Novella. This area of Florence is a 20 minute walk to the main cultural attractions such as the Uffizi Gallery, the Duomo, the Bargello Museum, Piazza della Signoria, and Palazzo Vecchio. The area is mainly residential so there is a variety of grocery stores, bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, and cafes. In the area you will also find Stazione Leopolda, Florence’s former railway station which has been converted into a vibrant exhibition hall used for events such as craft fairs, television and fashion shows, as well as for cultural and business meetings.

Parking:Florence city centre is a ZTL zone which means a 'limited traffic zone' and therefore special rules apply to when you can enter this area. This particular apartment is in fact located within the ZTL zone so this means that if you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around and park, then you will need to pay special attention to the road signs, CCTV cameras and access cameras (they will show either a red /green light) in order to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel within the ZTL zone by car to reach their apartment are advised to contact one of the private garages in the centre (the one nearest the apartment you are staying in) and obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests must specify their need for access in the ZTL and the garage will then note the vehicle’s number plate and forward it to the appropriate police headquarters. While this apartment is physically located within the ZTL zone, it is very close to Porta al Prato which is located outside the ZTL and therefore parking should be relatively easy.
This property for rent is not a hotel, agritourism, B&B or similar, and therefore by law, extra services similar to those you may find in these types of accommodations, such as a reception, concierge or security, receiving mail, provision of meals and drinks, cleaning and change of linen during your stay, and amenity kits with soaps etc. are strictly prohibited.
