Located on the third floor, without elevator , 82 steps to climb, of a building between via degli Alfani and via della Pergola. The building was restored in 2010 and is very close to the Duomo, the Accademia Gallery, Piazza S.S. Annunziata, Piazza della Signoria and all the other monuments of the city. More specifically, the apartment has a wonderful view of the dome of the Duomo and Fiesole. 2 bedrooms that can sleep up to 4 people and has 2 bathrooms. The property is on two levels: At the entrance there is a bright double living room, with one of its walls being a huge window. Then we have a functional kitchen area separated from the dining area by an large and elegant French kitchen counter from the IXX century. In the living room there is an enormous library that takes up an entire wall.
From the living room the guests can reach: the master bedroom with TV and a view of the dome of the Duomo and the bathroom in marble with a double shower. In the living room there is also a staircase that leads to the second bedroom (with a comfortable 1.40 x 1.90 pull put coach and closet) that has a bright studio furnished with a desk and another closet. Lastly, we have the second bathroom with an elegant bathtub. The apartment also has large attic that serves as the laundry area.
In the building along with his mother, Aloysius Gonzaga, a guest of the Medici family, the lords of the city of Florence, stayed in the apartment between the years of 1577 to 1580. During his period in Florence, Aloysius Gonzaga developed his religious vocation that would eventually lead him to priesthood and becoming a saint. A portrait of the saint, painted by Giovanni Battista Arrighi along with an inscription of the late seventeenth century can still be found on the facade of the building, still remembering today the palazzo as the residence of San Luigi Gonzaga.

Security deposit: For stays equal to or lesser than 15 days, all clients will have to grant € 300.00 with a valid credit card 7 days before check-in for a pre-authorization. For stays between 16 and 30 days, guests will have to pay €1000.00 7 days before check-in. Prepaid and/or debit cards are not accepted. For rentals over 30 days, special conditions apply.

ParkingFlorence city centre is a ZTL zone which means a 'limited traffic zone' and therefore special rules apply to when you can enter this area. This particular apartment is in fact located within the ZTL zone so this means that if you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around and park, then you will need to pay special attention to the road signs, CCTV cameras and access cameras (they will show either a red/green light) in order to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel within the ZTL zone by car to reach their apartment are advised to contact one of the private garages in the centre (the one nearest the apartment you are staying in) and obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests must specify they need access for the ZTL and the garage will then note the vehicle’s number plate and forward it to the appropriate police headquarters.
