This house is our home.

We have worked hard to make this an amazing place to spend your holiday and we want to share it. Our home is special to us and we hope you will enjoy it too.

Why? LOCATION! Its close to everything and we absolutely love to wake up and enjoy the beautiful Lake Okanagan. Our kids can safely walk to all the local attractions, amenities, restaurants and shops close-by without having us drive them anywhere.

What makes this house unique

Unique – Our home is unique because of its location and we love the flat roof mid-century house style. We recently discovered the house won a design award when it was originally built. There is a beautiful large maple tree in the backyard, a perfect shady spot to relax and read a book.

Notes:
Lake Okanagan (20 feet) - wake up early and go for an early morning swim or jog. River Channel (10 mins walk) - our kids' favorite activity, best way to spend 2 hours just chilling on the channel. Penticton Farmer's Market and downtown (3 mins walk)-pick-up fresh local produce every Saturday from May to October. Go for lunch at Brodo's (on Main St) or peruse through The Bookshop (new and used books, also on Main St). Naramata Winery region and KVR trail (5 mins drive) - go for a bike ride, jog or hike on the KVR trail and reward yourself with a nice coffee and treat at the local artisan bakery and coffee spot, The Bench Market on Vancouver Ave. Our favorite activity is to bike from our house to the Little Tunnel - approx 1.5 hr bike ride up a steady incline. You'll wind through lush vineyards and the view is absolutely amazing. The bike ride back home is all downhill and we like to reward ourselves with a delicious lunch (and a glass of wine!) at Hillside Winery & Bistro which is

One of best locations in Penticton. Lots of room and quiet.

  • 5 of 5

Loved our time here. We have 2 young kids so being able to walk out of door and accross the street to beach was amazing. 5 min walk to downtown along lakeshore or just steps away from restaurants in other direction. Convenient parking and quiet location. Place was in good shape with everything necessary for cooking. Airconditioning up stairs kept house nice and cool. Fans in downstairs circulated air nicely. We liked the 2 levels as we could get kids to bed and then talk, play games or watch tv. Great spot and would definatley return.

Peaceful, quality home in heart of Penticton holiday lakefront.

  • 4 of 5

Nicely located to all Penticton beach holiday activities. Peaceful home with quality furnishings. Good separation of space with the up and down living areas. Our two families never felt crowded or too close to one another even with 3 kids. Very good attention to sound as we never heard our neighbors in the front unit. Out of control of the owners was the construction in the back lane which ensured we were up every morning at 7:30. (The City also uses a leaf blower to clean the sidewalks at 7:00 am). That aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Joanne and Fred Wescott's home in Penticton.

Owner's Response: We are glad you and your family enjoyed your stay at our vacation home. Yes, unfortunately, we have no control over the construction and city crew noise as they are working during the allowable work hours.

Wonderful Unit in Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience with this Lakeshore home. The unit was exactly as it looks in the pictures and was very clean upon our arrival. We were 6 adults and a baby, there was plenty of room for us, and everything we needed was provided. We loved picking up new wine from the nearby winerys and cooking each night with fresh foods from the farmers markets or the butchers ( T-bones) that is just a short walk away. The information given to us by the owners was complete and accurate, they were wonderful to deal with, as well as the property manager who met us upon our arrival. Really great unit, no surprises, everything is as described. Highly recommend for a fun family get away!

Perfect family getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We went to Penticton with my sister`s family over the Christmas holidays. They were in the front unit and my family consisting of 3 young children used this back unit. It was just perfect as we could be together when we wanted but had privacy in our separate areas when the kids were getting too rowdy. There was so much space to host both families for dinner, drinks, games or just hanging out in either unit. Sitting by the fireplace with some hot chocolate after playing in the snow was a toasty way to end our days.

What I appreciated as a mom traveling with young children:

- the bedrooms are upstairs which means we could put the kids to sleep in the bedrooms and continue to make noise in the sitting room downstairs.

- there is an additional living room with work space upstairs where my husband was able to do his work while the kids were downstairs playing

- the kitchen is very complete. We ate in most nights and no details were spared in making sure everything that is needed is in the kitchen. We loved having a dishwasher

- we were able to do laundry in the full size washer and dryer

- it is very clean

- wonderful decor

- super comfortable beds and linens

- good selection of channels on cable tv to entertain the kids

- free wi-fi which allowed for easy travel planning and additional entertainment

- excellent location across from the lake. My sister watched the kids while my husband and I enjoyed a romantic stroll on the lakeshore.

- we skied Apex and it is a great mountain in a good location from Penticton. Great family fun.

Highly recommend this or the other unit of this property. Cannot wait to return in another season. The okanagan is beautiful any time of year.

great vacation in a great condo

  • 5 of 5

The lakeshore property was exactly as advertised on VRBO. Me and my party of 6 had a very comfortable stay; everything was clean, and the property had all the appliances and amenities we could hope for. Both the property owner and manager were kind and helpful. I only wish we had taken more advantage of the bbq grill while staying there.
