Welcome to our family or friends get-away lakefront retreat which accommodates 2-3 families and sleeps up to 10 individuals. With 3.5 bathrooms, there is plenty of "bathroom privacy" unlike other vacation homes that sleep 10-15 individuals with just 2 bathrooms.

Young children are welcome and we have a full size crib in the master bedroom and a high chair in the kitchen. We recently redecorated our home with high end furniture and new Pottery Barn bedding which gives you a true "home-away-from-home" feeling.

Our home offers you the opportunity to escape the hectic city for the fun filled lakefront lifestyle with a private pier perfect for fishing and swimming. You can have the best of all worlds as our home is centrally located just 15 minutes from the wonderful Lake Geneva activities while you have the serenity of Lake Delavan awaiting you upon your return. Our home has convenient access to grocery shopping (Super Walmart, Piggy Wiggly and Aldi's) which is 5 minutes away.

Our home is set on a hill with 100 year oak trees in our lushly landscaped front yard while the rear of the home has a 180 degree panoramic view of Lake Delavan. There is a large deck with patio furniture and a large Weber gas grill where you can watch the sun rise and set over the lake. During the day, you can relax on the deck and grill out while watching your children swim in the lake.

If you have a boat, you can launch it at the nearby neighborhood marina which is just a one minute walk and dock it at our pier (limit of one boat please). If you would like to rent a pontoon boat, I have arranged with the marina for a special discounted multi-day rate on their 24 foot pontoon boat, which is available on a "first come first serve" basis (they also have fishing boats and a power boat for rent). We also have a two person kayak and two paddle boards for your enjoyment.

As a perfect ending to your fun filled day, you can watch the moonlight glisten on the shimmering water in complete solitude while enjoying your favorite beverage. Adding to the ambience, you can sit in Adirondack chairs around our new gas fire pit which overlooks the lake and make s'mores and roast marsh mellows.

You will park your cars in our spacious driveway ( we can accommodate up to 5 cars depending on size) and then walk up the long curving sidewalk through our secluded yard with the many 100+ year old oak trees. You will then enter our cozy home which is well-apppointed to maximize the pleasure of family gatherings while ensuring individual privacy.

When you walk into our home, you will see our large recently updated and well-equipped kitchen which has all the amenities that you would have in your own home. Next to the kitchen is a large dining area. Adjacent to the dining area is a spacious family room with a gas fireplace and windows on three sides which provide spectacular south, west and east lake views. From the family room, you can walk out onto the large elevated deck which has the Weber gas grill and patio furniture with a large rectangular umbrella shade.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms with Pottery Barn bedding and 2 full baths. In the very large master bedroom with a cathedral ceiling and which has an elevated 2 sided lake view, there is a king bed, full baby crib, large closets and a private master bath with standup shower. The other two bedrooms each have queen beds (one of these bedrooms has a nice lake view) and they share the adjacent full bathroom which has a shower over the tub.

In the English basement, we have furnished it to be the perfect 'hangout', especially if you have children that want their own space (and which you will be very glad to provide them with!) There is a large rec room with a 49 inch LED smart TV, a foosball table and a futon which can sleep 2 individuals. In a separate area with its own door is a large bedroom with bunk beds (a twin bed and a full bed) along with a full bathroom including a standup shower.

We have high speed internet (true 60 meg download) and cable with HBO and Showtime. We also have great central A/C as well.

You can be assured that we are experienced vacation home owners who meet the needs of our guests based on our 4.95 rating for 2015 as well as a 4.9 rating (based on over 50 reviews) on another home we previously rented on VRBO. We know that you want to have a stress free vacation in an exceptionally clean and well appointed home and and we will ensure that everything we control is done timely and correctly.

We do allow, on a case-by-case basis, one small (less than 25 pounds) well behaved non-water dog. If you feel your furry child meets this criteria, please call us to discuss this further. Please note that we do charge a $25/day pet fee and a refundable $200 pet security deposit.

Please note that our home is in an area where our neighbors are in close proximity and we want to ensure that our neighbors' ability to enjoy their tranquility is not impeded. As a result, this is not a property that is suited for house parties or bachelor/bachelorette parties and if that is your intent, we strongly encourage you to consider other properties that allow that activity.

Joe Aceto purchased this house in 2014

Why Joe Aceto chose Southeast

We love Lake Delavan and bought our first lakefront home in 2011 which we rented on VRBO for several years. In 2014, this home became available to us and we decided to purchase it with the intention of renting it to families and friends gatherings so they could have the same enjoyment that we have had staying on Lake Delavan.

What makes this house unique

You will love the panoramic lake views which are all the more spectacular since we are set up on a hillside. Early in the morning or in the evening, you will hear nothing but the occasional duck or goose and if you are lucky a loon!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time at the Aceto vrbo. The home was very spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. The view of the lake was spectacular! Our family took great advantage of the pier with our boat, paddle boards, and fishing. Our grandsons caught many large mouth bass--enough to have a family fish fry. The beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed cooking in the furnished kitchen and we had great family fellowship around the large dining table. All of their accommodations met and exceeded our expectations. The owners were a pleasure to work with, timely in our contacts, and more than happy to meet our needs. We highly recommend their home for any family that wants to enjoy the beauty of Lake Delavan. You won't be disappointed!!!!!

Total relaxation!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this lovely home with our children and grandchildren. It was immaculate and had everything we needed to start our vacation. There is plenty to do on the lake or in the area, however, we all were content to relax, read, fish, play games, and go for an occasional boat ride. The view of the lake is perfect. Joe, the owner was more than gracious in insuring our comfort and that we had everything we needed. He even bought a fire pit and installed it so we could enjoy it before we left!

Owner's Response: Jennie, it was a pleasure to meet you and your family. I'm glad that you enjoyed yourself at our home and I agree, the elevated view of the lake is wonderful. The timing was perfect for you to be the first to enjoy our gas fire pit which overlooks the lake and as your husband says, it makes perfect toasted marsh mellows! I hope you can stay with us again.

Beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home for a family fishing vacation with 3 families. There was plenty of room for everyone. The home was beautifully decorated and very clean. The kids were able to fish off the pier whenever they wanted, or play the games provided when the weather didn't cooperate. We all had an amazing stay and would love to return! Thank you Joe and Bea!

Owner's Response: April, I'm so glad your extended family had a fun filled vacation at our home! Our guests continually comment on our home's spacious layout that allows privacy when needed and plenty of family gathering areas in the family room and the deck overlooking the lake. I am continually amazed at the large fish that our guests have caught right off our pier and it also provides the launching spot for our 2 person kayak and stand up paddle boards. Thank you for taking wonderful care of our home and i hope you can return soon.

Beautiful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This property was beautiful and much larger than we expected. We were in the area for our son's graduation from UW Whitewater and had 7 people stay very comfortably. We enjoyed walking by the water, being about 1/2 hour from Whitewater, sitting on the deck facing the water in the evening and going to some good places to eat. We would definitely recommend this house.

Owner's Response: Hi Mary, I'm so glad that our home worked out perfectly for you and your family while you attended your son's college graduation. Being able to walk along the lake which has a concrete sidewalk in many areas, is a great way to experience the lake and see all the great homes.

Perfect lake house for a relaxing getaway

  • 5 of 5

Joe was very easy to communicate with and he made our stay at Delavan Lake extremely enjoyable. The house had everything we needed. The kitchen and grill are fully functionable and allow for easy home cooked meals. There was also plenty of beds and bathrooms to keep guests comfortable. We stayed comfortably with 7 men. The town doesn't have much in the way of nightlife, but there is a bar across the street that was entertaining. Overall we had a great time and we would stay there again.

Owner's Response: Kevin, I'm glad that you and your friends had a fun filled college reunion. We make a point of furnishing our home as your "home away from home". Thanks for mentioning that there were plenty of beds and bathrooms. Having 3 and half bathrooms is essential when you have a larger group - when I see that a home has just 2 bathrooms for 10-15 guests, it makes me wonder how comfortable that really is. Some of our guests avail themselves of the nearby neighborhood Wisconsin tavern (as they are called up here). The nice thing about its location is that while it is just a 3 minute walk from our home it is far enough away that we do not hear any noise and our peace and quiet, which is why many people come here, is preserved. For entertainment, we recommend going into Lake Geneva which is just a 12-15 minute drive away. Kevin, my wife and I hope you and your friends can join us again for another reunion.

Last Minute Spring Break Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented this home for a long weekend at the end of our 13 year old twin sons' spring break week in March. One of our twins is an avid fisherman and asked if we could rent a house on a lake and let him invite two friends/fishing buddies to join us. The house is really quite lovely and nicely appointed. We cooked breakfast every morning and dinner every evening - all of the pots, pans and utensils we needed for meal prep was there in the well stocked kitchen! Unfortunately, the weather in late March is unpredictable. It was cold and rainy two of the three days we were there, but bright, sunny and 75 degrees on Saturday. Because it is unusual that the lake is not still frozen at this time of year, the pier was not yet installed, but Joe went "above and beyond" by making a call to the pier folks and they actually came and installed the pier on Friday while we were there! Unfortunately, the fish in Lake Delavan still were not biting (from the pier or the shore), so we took the boys over to Lake Geneva (where they were only marginally more successful). When they were indoors, the boys spent nearly all of their time in the English basement (which was perfect for the four 13 year-olds). They played foosball, x-box, watched movies, and generally just hung out down there. It made for a very quiet and relaxing time for my husband and myself! It was especially nice to meet Joe and Bea in person when they stopped by on Friday. They are lovely owners who truly go the extra mile to ensure their guests are taken care of. It is very nice to have them so accessible and responsive. We hope to come back to Lake Delavan during the summer to get the full lake experience and would definitely stay in this home again.

Owner's Response: Denise, Bea and I really enjoyed meeting you and Tom! We appreciate you mentioning our commitment to go "above and beyond" for our guests. That old saying "treat others as you would wish to be treated" is what we believe in and it is especially relevant to our guests who want a relaxing getaway. While I was able to get the pier installed in late March (a full month ahead of the usual schedule) I wish I was able to get the fish to bite for your sons and their friends! At least they had the opportunity to hang out in our English basement which gave you and Tom the opportunity for some quiet "adult" time. That is the unique benefit of the layout of our home in that it really has three separate living areas (sleeping, adult gathering space and kid hangout). We hope you can stay at our home this summer when the fish will be biting as that is what Delavan Lake is know for - good fishing.

Sister Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home for a Sister (+1 brother) Weekend. There were 6 of us to start and there was plenty of room. The space really was warm, welcoming, and relaxing. A beautiful home, with a beautiful view of the lake. We lucked out with a beautiful pre-spring day and were able to sit out on the deck, read, and watch the lake. Joe was easy to work with and we are hoping to return! I recommend this home for a small or large gathering, the space is well equipped and works well for both.

Owner's Response: Teresa, I am so glad that you and your sisters (and one brave brother!) enjoyed yourselves at our home. The weather cooperated and it was a pleasure to see all of you together obviously enjoying the time you had with each other. You are spot on that our home is very versatile and can accommodate a wide range of groups. I hope you can come back!
