About Carolina Branch

Our family fell in love with the Cashiers and Lake Glenville area over 15 years ago. We have vacationed here ever since. Cannot get enough of it. So much to do, never a dull moment. The age of our kids has forced us to remain tied up to their school and sports schedules. We wanted to open our home to other families that enjoy spending time together, appreciates nice things and loves nature and lake living.

Carolina Branch purchased this cottage in 2010

The home was easily accessible from Cashiers. It was updated, clean and had everything we needed! The area was quiet and the lake access was easy. We loved using the owners kayaks! A real plus!

Very nice lake house - clean and well equipped

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and enjoyed our visit very much. Access to property was easy and the house was ready for us on arrival. The recently renovated house is clean and sparsely decorated - so it feels open and fresh. There were plenty of linens and some basic toiletries. The kitchen is very well equipped with anything you might need. There is a large deck with a nice view of the lake. As other reviews have mentioned, the walk down to (and up from!) the lake is long so not good for anyone with mobility issues. There is a nice dock with 1 canoe and 3 kayaks. We had a great time paddling around on the lake. We also rented a boat from signal ridge marina and spent 2 days on the water. The water is COLD but very clean and we had a great time tubing. Even on the holiday weekend, the lake was not overly crowded with boats. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family loves to reconnect at this cabin. Large enough for everyone to land, yet cozy enough to bring everyone together! The lake is 123 steps away, which almost counts as a workout? :) Lots of memories shared in this home over the years and look for many more to come! Thank you Carolina!

Perfect 5 day getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four had a great time on Lake Glenville. The house was very clean, comfortable, nicely appointed and newly decorated. We enjoyed most of our meals, coffee, and happy hours on their great deck overlooking the lake. We rented a ski boat and had it delivered (Young Harris Water Sports) and spent every day enjoying water sports and exploring the lake. We also fished off the dock, used our paddle boards each morning to visit the nearby waterfall (complete with duck and turtle sightings), and thoroughly enjoyed our family getaway. There are an assortment of books, games, and of course, the TV/netflix, etc. for downtime.

Cashiers is a good nearby destination for a little shopping and dining (try the pizza place). We also took our bikes and found some great mountain biking trails near Western Carolina University.

Absolutely beautiful

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a week at this house. We didn't want to leave. Lake is so beautiful . We rented a boat from Lakeshore boat rentals 2 different days. Kids had fun tubing the lake. My husband and I kayaked every morning to the waterfall nearby . It was so peaceful. Carolina was so accommodating and helpful. She went above and beyond to help us. We cannot wait to come back. Only negative is that the trek up and down the stairs to the lake is tiring but we looked at it in a positive way- that we were getting excercise. We had an absolute blast!
