The house was beautiful and very clean.
We had a wonderful time at this house. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and everything was nice and clean. We will probably return next year
Thank you Marcia, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. We would be happy to have you stay again. LIZ
Family Friendly Fun
Our family enjoyed the setting and the layout of the home in Amish Country. Buggies passed by in front of the house. Close to Walnut Creek Cheese and The Farm. Had lunch at Rebecca's Bistro. Glad I found it in the daylight hours first. Carlisle Oak sign helped the rest of my family find it!
Loved the house
We loved the house and had a great girl's weekend. Beautiful home, lovely area, and close to shopping and restaurants. We would definitely love to come back again.
Beautiful home and location.
We really enjoyed our weekend at this home. However there were a few hiccups. First, we had a huge fly problem, most were dead, but a lot were still alive and in the bedrooms. Then the back door does NOT lock, this made us uneasy— 6 unarmed ladies in a strange area?! Then the WiFi would not connect- which wasn’t a deal breaker since we were there to get away, but one of us did have some work to do and she couldn’t accomplish this. All things considered, we would love to come back because it is a very nice house with very comfortable beds and plenty of room. Could use some new bulbs and maybe a sign to help find it in the dark, since street lights are non existent in the area. I would recommend this rental. Especially if you love country landscape and Amish living.
This house was perfect for our group, plenty of room, close to everything we wanted to visit.
We have come to this area several times and we will be back again, maybe a different season.
Everything you need- and more!
Much bigger than it looks like in the pictures. Clean! Great equipped kitchen and close to everything. We were not informed it was an alcohol free rental until the final week when we heard how to get the key. If that info is elsewhere, it is pretty hidden as none of us saw it. Great views from up on a hill- owners may want to consider some window coverings in the dining area as full sun in our eyes.
Only advice for renters would be to go the extra miles and come there off of Rt 39 vs. from the south and thru Farmerstown--especially if at night as phone service is spotty and MANY turns. Faster and safer on 39 than all the county roads.
