Indulge yourself by staying away from the hustle and bustle and come relax in the true country. You won't have to deal with any traffic jams or overcrowded beaches in our little corner of paradise! This spacious island home was built and situated to take advantage of the cool hawaiian trade-winds and hear the sound of the waves crashing year round.

Miles of golden sand, and waters filled with sea turtles and tropical fish are just a short walk away. The public beach access is located just two blocks down from the house.

Lovely historic Haleiwa town is less than ten minutes away and is filled with everything from amazing eateries (both casual and upscale) to unique gift shops, and everything in between including a local grocery store, local craft fairs and farmers' markets with fresh produce grown here on the north shore.

Visit art galleries filled with local artists, choose from an array of surf shops providing surf lessons, kayaking and paddle board tours of our coastline or the beautiful Anahulu River. Try them all and pick your favorite SHAVE ICE spot, Or perhaps mosey down to the harbor to rent jet skis or charter your own fishing boat and bring home dinner!

For the adventurous Haleiwa Harbor is home to the only 2 shark cage tours on the island. Get your adrenaline rush by coming face to face with the oceans most majestic predator.

If that's not for you a better option may be Sharks Cove (don't be fooled by the name)-located 15 minutes up the coast it's a protected wildlife sanctuary and boasts some of the islands best snorkeling perfect for small children (when the surf is calm) and adults alike.

Our home is situated less than one mile from the Polo fields, get a birds eye view of the north shore by taking sky diving/glider rides at Dillingham airfield or maybe pack a lunch and go explore one of the many hiking trails located within a few miles of the house.

Our home is very clean, casual, well taken care of and all of the appliances are in excellent working condition. The bedrooms are furnished with brand new mattresses, high thread count linens and are very comfortable. Tropical decor makes you feel like you are living at an island retreat. Guests have their own private parking.

The sky is incredible at night because we have minimal street lights to interfere with the brilliance of the stars and moon. We have great relationship with our neighbors and intend to keep it that way so NO PARTIES please.

On Sundays the polo field holds matches by teams from around the world-this is a 5 min walk down the beach. Haleiwa, the main town, is only a 10 minute drive away. Here you can buy your shave ice, groceries, shop at local shops and eat at amazing restaurants. If you like to surf or paddle board, Surf n Sea is located in Haleiwa. Rent a board for a week and explore! There are endless things to do on the North Shore! Hike, snorkel, collect shells, surf, boogie board, watch the sunset and more. Farmers Markets every Saturday are must when visiting the North Shore!

Relax with lots of space

  • 4 of 5

Great location with no pressure from neighbors. Property was in good condition and was well air conditioned to keep down the humidity. A full size house, although a double wide prefab home, it was quiet and solid. The property was gated and that added security. All the north shore is close enough, and the nearby Dillingham Air Field offers lots of aerial activities to watch. The owner was a few streets away and very responsive and helped me get the most out of my vacation. I'd return anytime.

A great place on the North Shore

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at Mark's place! A short walk to the beach, a short drive to a beach park or hiking/beach combing. Saturday farmers markets, rooster alarm clocks, beautiful beaches! Bring your snorkel gear where ever you go to at the nearby beaches, we spent hours and hours snorkeling, mornings were best, but you will enjoy it no matter what time of day. What more could you ask for? If you like hustle and bustle, this is not your place; but if you like the quiet life this is where you want to stay. A little trip for groceries and an hour drive to Honolulu are the only (dis)advantages. Since we buy heavy upon arrival, and we don't spend much time doing the "tourist trap" it worked well for us! Feel the need to shop? Spend the day in Haleiwa or take the long way around the island to truly enjoy the beauty of the island if you have to go to the Waikiki area! The trip is longer, but well worth not being stuck in traffic!! As for the hale itself, it was perfect for us! An outside shower (with warm water), a clothes line (don't worry, there is a dryer too), a huge carport (which never had a car in it, instead held the picnic table) and a comfortable house with a good size kitchen were fabulous! Loved, loved the air conditioners in the bedrooms - a huge plus!!! We will definitely come again and stay here. Of course, with our luck, there are always a few hiccups, but Mark was quick to remedy any situation that occurred and was a fantastic landlord. Side note - the mango was stupendous!! With much Aloha, Jeff & Stacie

Lovely home in a peaceful but accessible location.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our 12 night stay in this home. It had everything we could need and want. The space worked really well with a good sized living room and a kitchen/dining area that is ideal for a holiday home. The outdoor shower was lovely.

The massive garden and car port were also most appreciated by our family.

As everywhere in Oahu is reachable in an hour or so, we really loved having somewhere peaceful to return to at the end of the day, and to start our day as slowly and quietly as we wished.

Thanks very much for helping to make our stay enjoyable.

Greatest Vacation Spot on the Island

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect house for our 2 week Hawaii Christmas vacation. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood away from the big cities. Very close to Haleiwa/Sharks Cove where we spent lots of time, but it is also close enough to Waikiki/Honolulu to do many day trips. The house was very clean, the owner very friendly and very accommodating. There was a great beach within walking distance where we could snorkel. The house had everything we needed and we would recommend it to anyone looking to rent a house in Oahu. We hope to return one day and would definitely stay here again!

Our little slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

We are afraid to review this little gem as to not give our secret away. Our second year was just as great as the first. Mark keeps the house in perfect condition and it's absolutely spotless. He goes the extra mile to make sure there are paper towels, toilet paper and all the little things you would not expect to be provided. The house is on a larger plantation style property with plenty of privacy...which is nice when enjoying the outside shower (our favorite amenity). the location is perfect for families wanting to see the North Shore and the best surf beaches in the world.
