Perfect retreat on the Gorge!
We absolutely loved our stay in the charming, well equipped home. We were in the heart of the city and walked to restaurants. wineries and shopping. We experienced a heat wave, but the home had plenty of fans and an air conditioner in the living room. We were in Hood Oregon to do the Gorge River race and hope to return next year. We would love to stay once again in the cascade cottage. It was the perfect retreat!
Great Place to Stay in Hood River!
We really enjoyed out stay in this cute and clean house! The location was great, just a few blocks (easy walking distance) to the heart of downtown Hood River and all the great restaurants, cafes, and shopping. There was plenty of room for our family of 4- all the rooms and even the hallway were spacious, and there were 3 dining options for each meal- outside on the beautiful deck, inside at the breakfast nook off the kitchen, or at the large antique dining table. The views of the mountains and skyline from the bedroom and deck were also really nice and we loved watching the stars from the chaise lounges on the deck at night. Amy, the property manager, was also great to work with- all the instructions provided for the house were clear and concise, which made for a seamlessly easy stay. Thanks again, we'll be back!
Cute, cozy and comfortable!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was spacious considering it was a 2 bedroom/1 bath home and the beds were comfortable. We traveled with our 18 month old and felt comfortable letting roam around the most of the house (there were a few hazards but we were to easily address them) with us behind him. The overall feel of the house was cozy. A few suggestions include: making sure basic essentials are in the home like extra handsoap, coffee filters and non-stick spray, etc. Other than that, everything was great!
Really cute and comfortable!
We loved this cute house. Very comfortable furniture and bed. Nicely decorated. Our only disappointment was a lack of soap for the shower and no cable for Bowl games :)
Lovely well cared for home
Lots of vintage appeal to the house. Very well appointed and comfortable.
Cute house, great location
We took a quick trip to Hood River for a girls' weekend. The house was perfectly located within walking distance to everything: breweries, coffee shops, farmer's market...anything you want. Biking, hiking, water sports all out the front door. Comfy living room, cozy beds, and well equipped kitchen. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house or visit it again.
