UNFORTUNATELY OUR APARTMENT WAS CAUGHT IN A DEVASTATING FIRE ON 25TH MAY 2017.WHICH MAY TAKE UP TO A YEAR TO REBUILD. I CONTACTED OWNERS DIRECT TO CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION AND SUSPEND THIS ADVERT. BUT THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME A PARTIAL REFUND. I THINK THIS IS POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE.

This marvelous heritage property is set in Victoria Court with its enclosed, shared gardens. The spacious lounge offers beautiful views over the town and of Ben Ledi rising majestically in the near distance. All local amenities are within walking distance.

The well equipped apartment is located near the centre of the historic and beautiful Stirlingshire town of Callander with its many excellent shopping and leisure facilities. Such as walking and hiking. Fishing on the meandering River Teith, which flows beneath the footbridge 5 minutes from Ben Ledi View. Nearby golf courses, abundant mountain biking and road cycling opportunities, as well as simply trying out the many tearooms and cake shops offering mouth watering taste opportunities!

The property is a hidden gem with private, shared, parking behind the bustling Main Street.

The picturesque town is situated north west of the city of Stirling, within the world renowned Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, which has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and helping to form the Gateway to the Scottish Highlands.

Walkers,hikers and mountain bikers will love the numerous trails, tracks and close-by mountain ranges including our own Ben Ledi.

The apartment is minutes from most of Callander's pubs and restaurants. There is a vibrant music scene among the differing venues. The range covers every taste including traditional Scots and Irish folk, pop, blues and rock and roll. Once a year the town hosts its very popular Jazz and Blues Festival

The property offers two bedrooms: 1 double and 1 single with an additional pull out bed. Shower room with shower and WC. Lounge/Diner with large modern L shaped sofa bed and TV/DVD. Kitchen with electric oven and hob, refrigerator, washing machine and microwave. Outside: enclosed garden with seating area. Amenities: off-road parking, Bed linen, towels, electric heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking allowed. 2 medium sized, well behaved dogs welcome. Location: shops, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Arrival 4pm.

After retiring from business, Latterly a Post Office and Card and Gift shop, Mary and I took the opportunity to purchase an apartment in one of our favourite places in Scotland: Callander is about an hour's drive from our home in Kirkintilloch, just north of Glasgow. We love the scenery of the Trossachs and enjoy walking among the many trails surrounding the town. Sometimes we just like to stroll up and down the busy high street and take advantage of the many great pubs, cafe's and restaurants.

Why John Dickson chose Scotland

It took us less than 10 minutes to decide to purchase the apartment when we viewed it. The view of Ben Ledi from the lounge window clinched it. Hence the name Ben Ledi View! Plus its location, in a hidden old heritage building just off the Main Street in the centre of the town. Within 5 minutes walk you can reach the glorious River Teith, or pop into 3 or 4 pubs. There's an Italian restaurant on the ground floor and a number of other restaurants on the Main Street.

Location! Location! Location!

The proximity to so many amenities and yet be so close to such wonderful countryside makes for a marvelous break form city or suburban life. Since we upgraded the apartment the guests we've had have all loved it.

One guest said : "We spent a week in this apartment and had a fantastic time. The view of Ben Ledi from the living room is spectacular. We went walking in the nearby mountains every day and the views of the snow capped peaks and lochs were outstanding. The apartment has everything required for a good self catering holiday - a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, cosy living room. It is right in the centre of Callander and there are good pubs, cafe's and shops within easy access. I would recommend to anyone wanting a holiday in stunning part of Scotland more"

There are loads of walks and you'll find a map with walks outlined in the lounge. I'd recommend the trail to Bracklinn Bridge then up and over the Callander Crags and back down through the woods to the starting point close to Callander Golf Club. Very varied and excellent views.

It can be shortened at various points.

If you fancy a heavy duty hike the climb to the top of Ben Ledi at just under 3000 feet has phenomenal views of the Trossachs and at least 5 lochs. Brilliant! Again you don't have to go to the top.

There are plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk. We like the Waverley Hotel where there's a pretty good menu and a friendly atmosphere. There's often Live music on Fridays. Also music in the Riverside Inn and the Back Bar just across the road from the flat. Mhor Fish serves traditional fish teas, and there's an Indian and a Chinese restaurant on the Main Street.

There's also a large travel cot and a high chair stored in the bedroom. A TV/DVD sits on the chest of drawers. There is a small selection of classic DVD's. The Second bedroom has a very comfortable single bed with a full size pull out bed that turns the room into all bed room. Our grandsons love it!

flat was perfectly situated for all that callender has to offer.hosts were excellent,they left things that were very useful,bread, milk, tins [ and a bottle of red wine which went down very well,thankyou ] also a very detailed set of instructions of where everything was and how to work them.we would definately go back there again.

Extremely clean and well equipped. Snug and homely.

Would highly recommend this property for anyone wishing to visit loch lomond and the trossachs. Fantastic location and very well equipped apartment. The views are stunning from the living room. Owners are fantastic and extremely helpful. They even left us milk, bread and wine! Highly recommended.

Great, relaxing and welcoming Place :)

We had a great time at the property and John (owner) is such a nice person. The kids were welcomed with goody bags which they loved. Kids happy made the mom happy which means everyone is happy :) The property as such was neatly decorated and is in a nice small town which has a feel good factor associated with it. Will recommend this property for sure!
