Cottage in Hebden, Grassington, Yorks Dales - village location, great walks
We have owned the property since March 2015 and whenever possible we thoroughly enjoy spending weekends and holidays at the cottage. We have particularly enjoyed exploring the walks and lovely pubs in the region! There is so much to see and explore in the Dales and we hope you enjoy the cottage as much as we continue to do so ...
Chris purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why Chris chose Skipton
We have completely refurbished the property - keeping the character features such as AGA and wood burning stove, whilst adding in modern amenities such as Wi-Fi and a new central heating system. We still very much use the cottage as our second home - enjoying the village amenities and wonderful walks, whilst exploring the region and finding great village pubs - real hidden gems. We hope you get as much pleasure from the cottage and surrounding areas as we continue to.

Lovely, homely cottage in beautiful countryside with gorgeous riverside walks.
Thank you for your comments.
We're glad you had a lovely time.
Great little cottage
Communications from Chris, the owner were good and clear... nothing left to guess-work. We found the cottage beautifully clean and comfortably furnished. No rental cottage or doggy smells at all. Great walks right from the front door. Would certainly recommend to family and friends.
Very nicely renovated in a good location
The house is very nicely attired - painting, renovation, light and airy, carpets, furniture. The location is a bit on the edge of the dales but there is actually lots of walking directly from the cottage and we never drove more than 15 minutes to set off on a walk to limestone pavements, millstone grit moorland, etc. Excellent stay (except the weather!)
Thank you for your comments; it certainly is great walking around the cottage.
Mid week stay
Beautiful location. Clear instructions on how to use everything. Lots of places to choose to eat at in a very short distance away, 5 minutes in the car is Grassington with a selection of lovely pubs.
Thank you for your review; you also had lovely weather which makes visiting the Dales even nicer!
Thoroughly recommend this beautiful cottage
I went there with my parents and my dog. The cottage was spotless. Beds were very comfy and we all slept very well. The cooker is an aga so not being used to one we only used it once to steam some trout that we'd bought from the nearby Kilnsey estate. The aga did keep the kitchen lovely and warm though. Having said that we tended to eat out every day anyway. There's a wonderful cafe (The Old School House) at the end of the lane and we went there quite a bit. I would also recommend the fish and chips at the Clarendon pub. The garden is compact but has a bench, table with 4 chairs and barbecue and lovely flower beds. It is very tranquil and the perfect place to enjoy the evening sun. Neighbours were very friendly. The owner, Chris was extremely helpful and provided lots of pertinent information prior to our stay. He also answered our queries whilst we were there, very promptly. There are lots of different walks in the area and the Hebden suspension bridge is a gem of a place to go for a quiet picnic by the river.
Really please you had a lovely time and that you enjoyed the many eating out cafes, pubs and restaurants.
We hope to see you again soon.
cosy, cottage in great location.
We loved this stay in the Dales, the countryside is astounding. The cottage was great for our stay. I loved the Aga particularly. Chris provided loads of useful information and maps too which was really helpful.
Thank you for your kind words; we love cooking on the Aga too.
Hope to see you again soon.
