Why BRUNO CLEMENT, CHRISTINE CLEMENT chose 5th Arrondissement
Our apartment is in our house. It's a big old house. We've been living in this house for 30 years. Our street is one of the oldest in Lyon. It's a cobblestone street. It leads to the roman city uphill with two roman amphitheaters. it feels like a village in the centre of the city. There are terraces with gardens and amazing viewpoints on the whole city of Lyon and the Alps when the sky is clear. The apartment is in a quiet and green surrounding and it takes 5 minutes to walk to town the central square called Place Bellecour.
What makes this Apartment unique
What makes it very charming is that it's the perfect location in the old district : full of sunlight, tranquil, charming street with renaissance and medieval buildings, at a walking distance for most points of interests. The metro and the cable car are on both sides of our street if you are exhausted after a day spent wandering in the streets...

Our stay in Lyon
We were warmly greeted by our host and had plenty of suggestions of place to see/visit. Very friendly and open to any questions we had. Great location, with a bit of an uphill walk, but will keep you in shape. This is why “French women don’t get fat”!
Cozy and Comfortable space in Old Lyon
We came to Lyon to watch the Women's World Cup. The three of us spent almost a week in this very comfortable apartment. Shops, restaurants, metro stop, and laundromat---very close by. Also, it is a quick walk to Bellecour, a main square in Lyon. The bathroom is new! We felt not only at home, but as a resident of Old Lyon for the time we were there. There is a walk up a hill to the apartment--fine for us. But, for those who prefer or unable to walk up a hill, there is a tram that goes up one stop, then a short walk down to the apartment. The stop is near the Roman ruins, which we loved exploring! We also spent a day exploring the Beaujolais wine region and a very cute nearby medieval town called Perouges!
I enjoyed looking out the windows!
Thank you for a very nice stay!
Karyn Bucur and family!
Comfortable at "La Colline"
Great price for two travellers exploring the city. Clean, comfortable and host was very helpful.
Cosy, calm and comfortable apartment- highly recommmended!
The apartment was just as described with plenty of space for two adults. Christine was very helpful and relaxed regarding our arrival and departure, leaving keys and providing plenty of local information/maps etc. Location was perfect for us as we were able to walk from the flat into the old town and beyond plus there were bars and restaurants close by. Would definitely return!
Bright, cosy apartment with lots of character. Perfect for a sejour in Lyon.
The apartment was lovely - clean and thoughtfully stocked with amenities. The location was perfect. Christine was very helpful and provided clear directions, maps and restaurant suggestions. I would recommend this place to friends and would have loved to stay longer.
Cute, and well located.
Christine is awesome! She gave us awesome food recommendations and had some self guided walking tours already prepared!
The apartment is in the most touristic area of the city. Everything is within walking distance. Our house is on a hillside so you have to walk up or walk down to get to your apartment (a cable car station upstreet, a metro station down). Roman theaters and Roman ruins are nearby. The medieval quarter is there. Fourviere Basilica, St Jean Cathedral are within 300 meters. Guignol theater down the street. Many museums are within walking distance: Fine Arts Museum, Archaeological museum, Gadagne Museum (history of Lyons), Fabrics museum, Printing museum, Miniatures Museum, Automatons Museum etc. One can take a Vaporetto (boat) to go to the new Confluence district. Countless restaurants are nearby. Addresses are available in the folder in the apartment. Place Bellecour which is the heart of Lyon is a 5 minute walk. For children there are garden-squares everywhere, there's a high rope park uphill, a big swimming-pool on the Rhone bank , a puppet theater called Guignol in our street etc... It is possible to park on the street but you need an access card. So you have to park in a nearby street (rue des Farges, Place des Minimes) and take it in our house first.
