What an incredible week we just had! The lake was crystal clear, the houses comfortable and great.
All 13 of us with ages ranging from 4 to 64 had an awesome week. We read other reviews of how hard the 120+ steps down to the lake were but didn`t seem to have any problems. The rooms were adequate with lovely beds and bedding. Loved sitting out on the decks in the early morning and evenings. Sunsets were peaceful after a day of snorkeling and swimming. The paddleboat and standup paddleboards were a huge hit with all of us. Thank you for sharing your homes with us.
Everything was A+ with pretty 2 minor complaints. I read reviews that the walk up from the dock is tough, but I had no idea how tough. It was 136 steep steps. Even those of us in great shape were completely out of breath. The other minor issue is the beach is painfully rocky almost to the point where you cannot walk in bare feet, so a ladder on the dock for after you jump in would have been nice. Otherwise this place is excellent and had more than everything I wanted. Incredible views, balcony, deck, 2 fire pits, grill, nice yard, it was fantastic.
Enjoyable Family Vacation Spot
Thank you to Robert and Breanne providing our family of 9 (2-grandparents, 4-parents, 3-kids) with a wonderful family vacation on Flathead Lake. The bunkhouse was perfect for the grandparents to have a little privacy and quiet time from the little ones. Beautiful remodeled and comfortable. The lake house kept the other 7 in comfort. The beds were very comfortable and we slept very well. The lake house is older but very clean and well supplied. Closet full of goodies to make your stay perfect: coolers, beach chairs, football, toys, etc. Walk to the water was 150 steps down (and up!) but with careful planning of snacks, water, drinks, etc, we only needed to ascend once or twice during the day but it was difficult for the grandparents and elderly dog because it is steep and the steps narrow in some places. Luckily their is a little zig-zag path that is much easier to go up and down. The beach had paddle boards, peddle boat, canoe, chairs. The fire pit between the houses was a big hit every night and the green space between was awesome for water gun fights, ball, and family games. Overall, this property is absolutely perfect and we loved every minute. The only downside for us was that the boat lift is only for the owners, and we really would have liked to moor our boat on the property rather than launching it down the road every day, for the convenience. We did find out that you can rent a moor at the boat launch which we would likely do the next time. Highly recommend this property.
WONDERFUL memories from a great family vacation!!
We rented this property for a multi-generational 60th Anniversary celebration. The 2 homes were well organized, just as described in the listing and photos and everything was perfect for all ages 5 1/2 months to 81 years. The homes were clean and had everything we needed. If we couldn't find something specific in one place, it was in the other. We used the fire pit on the lawn in between the two homes for some dutch oven cooking, s'mores around the campfire and lots of lawn games and activities. The steps down to the beach proved a bit difficult for some but we just took our time and everyone was able to navigate them. The water toys on the beach (pedal boat, paddle boards and trampoline) were fabulous and there was something for everyone. There were plenty of stackable chairs at the beach as well as on the deck at the main house. The only issue we had was that the fridge in the main house stopped working after the first night. We were able to move most items into the other fridge and utilize coolers that we had for keeping beverages cold. I would still rate the place a 5 though as the owners were responsive to our call and got a repair person scheduled to come out and fix or replace it right after our stay. We did have to go into Polson daily for ice but luckily it wasn't too far. The entire family kept expressing how perfect the place was for our group....from the relaxing hammock on the lawn to the great seating on the deck overlooking the beautiful lake, we were very happy to be there. Thanks for sharing your place with us!
We came from southwest Wyoming to stay here and visit Flathead lake for our first time and it was amazing! This cabin was perfect for us and our large group. The number of rooms and bathrooms were adequate and the big yard also worked really well for games and night time fire. The beach front and waters toys are great even though it is a bit of a trek up and down to the water. We did spend some time running back and forth to unload and load waverunners. The deck with the views is breathtaking, there is plenty of seating inside and out. We had a great time cherry picking close by. Also town with stores and restaurants is very close. The wasps for bad in the evenings around food and trying to eat outside, but that comes with the territory. The owners are also easy to get a hold of. Overall we had a very relaxing unforgettable summer family vacation. Hope to come back!
Fun, Beautiful Place for Larger Family
Robert & Breanne's place was the perfect setting for our somewhat rainy Flathead Lake stay. We had 9 family members, and between the two houses, we had plenty of space to do our own thing - read on one of the three amazing decks, play yard games in the gorgeous yard (we used this a TON!), and make big meals in the kitchens. Unlike most lake houses, the furniture, beds, bedding, and kitchen equipment was in great shape - this looked like a place the family actually uses, which made us feel at home too. If it had been nicer, the 145 steps down to the lake might have been a bit more tiresome, but as it was, we didn't spend a ton of time down there. Once down there, though, the dock was great, and the toys (SUP boards, paddle boat, etc.) were super fun. We did have a pipe burst in one of the houses late one night, but Robert & Breanne were super responsive, got plumbers there to fix it first thing in the morning and offered us a discount for the inconvenience.
Our family really enjoyed the space and the little extras, like a great baby bed (we had our 8 month-old nephew with us), games, footballs, frisbees, etc., and two awesome fire pits + already chopped wood! Both homes were also super clean. The one issue we each experienced was just a strange anomaly - none of the bedrooms have bedside tables or dressers, so there's nowhere to put your stuff, or put a book or phone down next to you when you're sleeping! Just a strange quirk, but otherwise we loved the place!!
