We are a family with 3 year old twin boys and one on the way! We live in Hertfordshire just north of London. We are professional working parents in Technology and Tennis. We bought our apartment in Cambrils because we fell in love with the beautiful town, its beaches and cycle routes. Great days out for the family at PortAventura and world heritage sites in Tarragona. Also being Barcelona supporters (55mins away by car) and ski lovers (Andorra 3 hours away by car) the apartment is a perfect location for us. This is our holiday home and although we only bought the apartment in the Summer of 2015 we have stayed there several times already with friends and family. The short flight from Stansted to Reus coupled with a 15 minute taxi ride to our apartment, makes this destination convenient and great value.

Why Sarah Lawfull chose Cambrils
Great location, so convenient. This area of Cambrils is thought of as one of the best locations to stay. Walk out of the apartment into the town, bars, restaurants, beach and park. The walks along the front are breath taking. The views of the mountains next to the beautiful Mediterranean sea is so inspiring. Being so close to the beach is convenient with kids as it is so easy to pop back or just cross the road and sit and have a drink or a meal. Great ice cream and coffee shops and fabulous patisseries. Cambrils is known as a gastronomic centre with endless choices for excellent food. It's also a fishing port so the fish in the restaurants is fresh and tastes fantastic. We often go to the local fish markets and barbecue our own as well. We are a short walk to the bus and train station and this makes sightseeing excursions very easy. For example, a short ride away is Portaventura theme and water park. Great to do several days in a row at Portaventura as there is so much to do. So handy to have the tourist information centre across the road to plan our days out and find out the local knowledge of the area. A lovely and spacious apartment with easy access and very family friendly. The roof terrace has a private pool, kids area and sun bathing loungers for only those living in the apartment block.

Brilliant location with everything at hand: beach, park, port, restaurants and bars with much of the centre being pedestrian only. Spacious apartment with two outside terraces and a balcony. With the kids, it is comforting to know access to and from the apartment is located off a pedestrian way. A private roof pool for the apartment block and sunbathing terraces is available for those moments you need tranquility.

We had a fabulous stay at the apartment. Great location - bars and cafes literally beneath you (but not at all noisy), and a short stroll to the beach. We loved being in the heart of things. Apartment was very well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches. The main balcony would perhaps have been a little crowded if there were 6 of you, but no shortage of outside space to enjoy on your doorstep. Highly recommend this place. Best equipped kitchen ever! We hired a car so we could enjoy different beaches, but there is no need for one, given the fantastic location.

The apartment was large enough to accommodate 4 adults and 2 teenagers comfortably. Very well equipped. The bathroom door in the en-suite was stiff to move so we didn’t use it but we could shut bedroom door so wasn’t an issue.
Central to lots of amazing bars and restaurants, lovely ecological cafe/bar directly opposite where we had a nightcap most evenings, the girl who owns it was lovely.
Excellent communication with owner and easy check in, Ines contacted us first on both occasions.
Rooftop pool is small but that didn’t bother me as I only dipped my feet, loungers are a bit worn but the area was lovely and full of plants.
All in all a fantastic holiday

Brilliant Christmas 2018 and start to the New Year 2019
We had a fabulous time in Cambrils and the apartment was just perfect. A real home from home with everything you could possibly need (and more) to enjoy your holidays - and especially for us staying over the Christmas holidays. We would all go back in a heartbeat. The location is superb with beaches, bars restaurants really close by and everyone is so friendly and helpful. Not all were open at this time of year as expected but many were, especially on New Years day. There were crowds out celebrating and the restaurants packed out. Thank you

Overall the apartment is really well laid out, nicely decorated & really suited to a family holida
We stayed in the apartment in Cambrils for 2 weeks in October 2018. The apartment is on the first floor of a 5 storey residential block, in a largely pedestrianised area. There are some commercial outlets on the ground floor, such as a café and Gelateria, but we were never disturbed by these, and the communal swimming is on the roof, accessed via the stairwell. There is a lift, in the stairwell, should you need it. The apartment is very well appointed throughout, which is apparent once you enter the main door into the hall way. To the left of the hall, and towards the front of the building, is a large lounge with dining table that can seat 6 comfortably. The lounge area has a large TV, with DVD (and drawer full of kids and grown up DVDs), and plenty of comfy seating. There is also access to a balcony area, with seating, overlooking the quiet pedestrianised street below. Also to the front on the building is a large double bed room, and shower room with WC. The door arrangement allows this to be used as an en-suite bathroom. To the right the hall, is a large kitchen area with induction hob, oven, microwave, tall fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, etc. Essential a completely fitted out kitchen and home from home and includes and plenty child friendly cutlery, plates and cups. There is also a high chair and 3 tall stools so you can sit and chat as someone prepares a meal. Off the kitchen is a bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC and basin. Plenty of towels were provided. An outside area can be accessed from the kitchen where a washing machine, two adult bikes complete with child seats (I’m guessing these would be good for kids upto 15-20kg), 2 balance bikes, scooters, and a large chest full of beach toys, buckets, spades, mats and sun shades. Also off the kitchen towards the back of the property is a single bedroom, a double bed room and a bedroom with 2 bunkbeds. The bunkbed room has lots of kids toys, a baby bouncer and also access to a 3rd outside area used to drying washing.

There is a beautiful park, Parc de Pescador, opposite the apartment and by the sea, with a lovely cafe and restaurant. There is a market in the old town selling fresh produce and clothes. In season the little tourist trains take you up there and back. The tourist information centre is 100 metres away and they speak multiple languages and are very helpful. Cambrils has lots of well organised tourist events and local attractions for families. Excellent town for family and fine dining, drinking and shopping. Miles of sandy beaches with great walks and dedicated cycle routes along the front. Because the miles of seafront are so flat, it is ideal for prams and wheelchairs. The apartment has a lift and a wheelchair friendly ramp in the entrance. Explore the nearby world heritage of Tarragona from Roman and medieval eras. The Gaudi centre in the Plaza del Mercadal, Reus is really worth a visit and finish off the day with a glass of Vermut at the Museum of Vermouth. For families a must visit is PortAventura water park and theme park. It is so vast and there is so much to do that you need at least a two day pass. In addition to the rides, the shows and music were really enjoyable and a welcome break with our picnic. The apartment is only a 15 minute ride away, so when we were exhausted at the end of the day we only had a short journey home. There is also a local bus and train service from Cambrils to PortAventura park that runs daily. The local tennis facilities are excellent and we have also taken up padel tennis. Play golf at Club de Golf Bonmont Terres Noves, 18 km by car. An excellent course and a beautiful clubhouse with a stunning view.
