Beacon is reminiscent of towns you see in movies. A small, bustling main street lined with galleries, restaurants and shops. Unfortunately it's no longer a secret as it has been featured in several publications like the New York Time's, 'Great Places to Visit.'
Explore the Hudson Valley, or take the train to Manhattan to spend the day shopping, sight-seeing or enjoying a Broadway show. If you've come here to escape, there are numerous outdoor activities that highlight picturesque views and the sought after quiet many people desire. Beacon has also become a cultural center in the art world; attractions include DIA Foundation museum, Art and Antique Galleries, open artist's studios and even a glass blowing shop.
In Beacon during the spring, fall and summer months there are various outdoor festivals, as well as a farmers market on the waterfront every Sunday. In the winter months the area is recognized for it's many cross country skiing trails. Year round, on the second Saturday of every month the galleries in Beacon stay open until 9 PM serving wine and snacks. Join the crowds exploring Main Street.
A true description of Beacon would be far too long for an easy read. We've lived here our whole lives and discover something new every weekend. Whether it be a new distillery, shop or festival. Living here for nearly 30 years, we continue to be amazed, enthusiastic and eager to share Beacon with you. We won't spoil all the surprises; come explore and fall in love.
