About the property

3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Bathroom, Sleeps 3-5 With Mountain Views

Beacon is reminiscent of towns you see in movies. A small, bustling main street lined with galleries, restaurants and shops. Unfortunately it's no longer a secret as it has been featured in several publications like the New York Time's, 'Great Places to Visit.'

Explore the Hudson Valley, or take the train to Manhattan to spend the day shopping, sight-seeing or enjoying a Broadway show. If you've come here to escape, there are numerous outdoor activities that highlight picturesque views and the sought after quiet many people desire. Beacon has also become a cultural center in the art world; attractions include DIA Foundation museum, Art and Antique Galleries, open artist's studios and even a glass blowing shop.

In Beacon during the spring, fall and summer months there are various outdoor festivals, as well as a farmers market on the waterfront every Sunday. In the winter months the area is recognized for it's many cross country skiing trails. Year round, on the second Saturday of every month the galleries in Beacon stay open until 9 PM serving wine and snacks. Join the crowds exploring Main Street.

A true description of Beacon would be far too long for an easy read. We've lived here our whole lives and discover something new every weekend. Whether it be a new distillery, shop or festival. Living here for nearly 30 years, we continue to be amazed, enthusiastic and eager to share Beacon with you. We won't spoil all the surprises; come explore and fall in love.

Ideal weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

Perfect place for us to spend a snowy weekend out of the city. Conveniently located with everything that we needed. As the hosts are fellow dog lovers they even allowed our pooches!

The box of donuts waiting on the table for our arrival was the icing on the cake for our stay. Thank you Ron and Lisa!

The house is adorable and very clean and well maintained. We were not bothered at all by road noise.

Some thoughts about the entrance to the house. We were almost hit- rear ended by cars twice turning into the entrance coming from cold spring even though we signaled and braked in warning.

We loved the layout of the house, the fact that we could bring our pups! The kitchen is well provisioned. We would not have changed a thing. The donuts left by Ron and Lisa were a huge hit as one of us has a sweet tooth! Alexis says thanks!!!!

Cute house in Beacon

  • 5 of 5

A very cute house in Beacon. Comfortably can fit 2 couples/groups with separate bedrooms. Location is everything here! Located super close to main towns of Beacon and Cold Spring - Breakneck Ridge trail is right down the road. Awesome. Only thing to note, as said in other reviews, is that this house is near the road, so not a house in the woods if that is what you are looking for.

Owners were AMAZING! Even left us donuts to welcome us. Stay here :)

Convienent location with all the ammenities of home...

  • 4 of 5

We had a great visit to Beacon... Lisa and Ron were terriffic hosts, even welcoming us with some delicious donuts from their donut shop , so good😁? Ours was a quick two day stay but we found the house was a short walk to Mt. Beacon and it is worth the trip up ..the views...We explored and hiked the area and would come back again.. We had just one star off because the third bed/ pull out sofa was pretty uncomfortable ... but all else was so good ... thanks again for the sweet spot!!!
