***** NOTE: *****
- This is my home that I live in and not a traditional vacation rental listing so based on our conversation I'll decide if we are a good fit. If we are, I will either be on vacation during your stay or I will vacate the house for your use.
- My ideal visitor is looking for a clean, quiet, safe place to stay and intends to spend the majority of their time outside of the house exploring the city or working.
- Please provide the following info in your request: the purpose of your visit, who your company is (if any) and a bit about you and guest(s) if any.
- Max of 3 people. If 3 someone will be on an air mattress and two would be in queen bed.
- Not available for stays longer than one week.
- All food and beverage in the house when you arrive is mine and not to be consumed.
- If you're not prepared to respect my home and leave it exactly how you found it when you arrived we are not a good fit.
Quiet neighborhood less than 1 mile off of I-64 & 4 miles off I-95. I'm located in a very central location to Downtown, Southside, Northside and West End. The bedroom is spacious and the bed is comfortable. Everything you will need is very close by.
Below is a detailed summary of the house and and surrounding area. I have also provided answers to many frequently asked questions to ease the booking process and make your stay more pleasant. Please review this information to ensure this listing meets all your needs. My calendar is always up to date.
My home is in a great neighborhood with a fenced in backyard and a driveway with plenty of room to park on the street. I'm a very clean person, have no pets, don't smoke, socially drink and enjoy traveling, meeting new people, cooking in and visiting new restaurants/bars, sports and doing anything active.
— HOUSE RULES —
— No bringing others back to the house unless cleared through me. That means no parties or events.
— Please take shoes off to protect the carpet.
— No smoking.
— No pets.
— No children (unless pre-approved).
— Always lock the front door when you leave.
— Leave sheets and towels in the laundry room.
— Leave the room like it was when you arrived.
— Dispose of all leftover food. Condiments are ok to leave.
— Empty kitchen, your room and bathroom trash in the large bin in the garage on your way out.
— Checking In / Checking Out —
I've made the process quite simple in the event that I'm not here. A code will be provided to you on the day of your arrival with instructions on how to get inside.
— Your Bedroom —
The bed is a traditional Queen 80in x 60in and sleeps two comfortably.
If you wish not to share the bed or a 3rd person stays I have a twin air mattress that fits in the space remaining. It makes for a tight fit, but has been done before. If you're only here to sleep it shouldn't be an issue.
If you feel the temperature is either too hot or too cold please let me know at anytime. I have a Nest Thermostat which I can control from anywhere or you are able to change it too.
I've added a SmartTV in the bedroom which can show Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu Plus, YouTube and other video services (login to your account) as well as a full length easel mirror. There is also a nice desk if you should need to do some work.
I have a clothes bar hanging from the closet door and there is an ironing board/iron under the bed. Please be extremely safe if using and make 100% sure the iron is turned off after using.
— Your Bathroom —
It's located in the hallway. There will be fresh towels and washcloths for the number of visitors as well as some body wash if you need it.
— Working the Shower —
To work the shower, turn on the water, then pull down on the ring directly where the water is coming out. This will engage the shower head.
— Downstairs Bathroom —
I have a half bathroom located at the front door that is shared.
— Kitchen —
I have a large variety of coffee and a single cup Keurig. Simply lift the top, fill it with a mug of water, lift the front so the water goes into the unit, insert your coffee, close, power on, hit flashing button, wait for it to brew, lift lid and discard the used coffee container and power off the unit.
If you need a drinking cup please use a tumbler located in the cabinet to the left of the sink. They have card symbols on them. These cups don't sweat and can't leave a water ring on any wood surfaces.
— Cleaning Supplies —
There will be cleaning supplies under the bathroom sink. In the event that the carpet gets stained there is a product that can be sprayed directly on the area and should help. I should also have some club soda on the top shelf of my pantry or in the fridge. Please use it in this situation if necessary.
If you need a vacuum cleaner for any reason there will be a small one under your bed. A more heavy duty on is in the room to the right of your bathroom. It will be in the corner.
— Dining Out —
My family owns 6 restaurants in the area so I can always give you good food recommendations. You will find detailed info in your room or you can G-o-o-g-l-e Richmond Restaurant Group.
— Nest Camera —
Please take note that I have a Nest Camera in my kitchen on top of the fridge. This is the only camera. It is in plain view and serves two purposes. One is it lets me know when it sees movement. This is good for me when I'm away so I know when a guest has arrived. It's also for security in the event someone was to break into my house.
— The Neighborhood —
There are plenty of restaurants, shops, etc within a mile and a great area called Carytown and The Fan is only five miles.
There is a grocery store, ABC, Corks & Kegs (Beer & Wine), Starbucks, CVS, gas station, many ATMs, a nice selection of restaurants all within a 1 mile radius of my house. Look at the Guidebook I've made which you should find useful.
