We are a fun loving family
Our home has everything you need and more. If you are a baker, chef or just want to relax and enjoy your family our home is perfect for all!
The pictures do not do the home justice. Your hosts, Douglas & Michele, are very attentive to requests. It was more spacious and welcoming than I expected. And the back yard begs for a few burgers, a few beers and a game of cards.
20 minutes from the strip is the perfect distance. Close enough to drive in for a night on the town; far enough to avoid dealing with the crowd if your just looking for a relaxed night in.
An Elvis LP, a record player, a pool table, and a hot tub at 2am really make this place more than complete. No complaints whatsoever about my stay and looking forward to enjoying this home again on my next group trip to Las Vegas.
Nice neighborhood. Plenty of space. The back yard pool area was great. The only glitch was that heating the pool and the hot tub at the same time did not seem to work. Felt like we got our moneys worth staying at this house.
Doug and Michele were great! They let me check in a couple hours early and the house was ready. They responded very quickly with any questions I had. Considering we had 10 people staying there, the price was very reasonable. The pool and huge back patio and bar were perfect for entertaining. The house has plenty of towels and bedding, and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook. Large driveway with plenty of parking and the neighborhood was very quiet. Only took about 20 minutes to get to the airport and the Strip. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Vegas and I highly recommend this house to others!
Michele and Goug's home was so beautiful. Everything was so nice anything we needed they had. The kids enjoyed the pool as well as the adults we enjoy many nights of pool table games. The strip was just about a 20 minute drive away. The house was well air conditioned, beds in all the rooms were comfortable, there were plenty of towels and blankets to be used. Michele and I had a great conversation over the phone wish we could have met in person. I would totally recommend this as a great family vacation rental. Again thank you Michele and Doug for a pleasurable stay.
We stayed for one week with our children and grandchildren and it was perfect. The home had everything one would need from the beautiful pool, spa and outdoor kitchen, laundry facilities, comfortable beds and linens to the fully equipped kitchen. Michele was always available for questions and we found the whole rental process to be incredibly easy. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone coming to the valley. Although we were there for a family wedding and not for gambling, the location is still good being close to the Aliante Casino as well as the Santa Fe and plenty of shopping and eateries. Great location also for outdoor activities, closer to Mt Charelston and plenty of beautiful parks. An absolute jewel! Thank you Michele!
Awesome vacation rental in North Las Vegas! Perfect place to stay for our week long work trip. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. This house was very clean and came equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals. The outdoor grill, fire pit and hot tub were the perfect touches to relax after a long day at work. We will be recommending this vacation rental to the next group coming down for training.
Beautiful Scenery, Hiking, Picnicking for outside enthusiast!
1. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is located on the west edge of the Las Vegas Valley and includes the red and white sandstone cliffs that can be seen from most places in town. The scenery is spectacular and always worth a visit.
The sandstone cliffs lie up against the Spring Mountains, and as the name implies, there are many springs and other water out there. Many of the hikes lead up narrow canyons to creeks and waterfalls, which during summer give a nice respite from the heat. During winter, full-sun hikes can be warm and delightful.
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is large (197,000 acres), but many locals refer to the Scenic Loop area as "Red Rocks." When locals say that they are going to Red Rocks, they usually mean that they are going to the Scenic Loop area, which is only a small portion of the National Conservation Area.
The Visitor Center is located near the start of the one-way, Scenic Loop Road. Stop at the Visitor Center to learn about the area, then drive around the Scenic Loop Road. This is a 12-mile, one-way road, so get a map and plan your trip so that you don't pass something that might interest you. You can always drive the loop again, but good planning will save you some time and gasoline.
The Scenic Loop provides access to a number of scenic overlooks and hiking areas, plus bird watching areas and picnic areas. As you drive the loop, you will pass the two Calico Hills Overlook areas, Sandstone Quarry, the Scenic Overlook, White Rock Springs, Willow Springs and Lost Creek, Icebox Canyon, Pine Creek, and the turn off to Oak Creek Canyon. Except for the Scenic Overlook, all of these are trailheads.
2. The Mary Jane Falls Trail is fairly strenuous, climbing almost 1,100 feet in 1.6 miles. The trail starts in the bottom of Kyle Canyon, which at this point is deep, heavily forested, and surrounded by beautiful gray limestone cliffs. In the first 0.7 miles, the trail climbs 450 feet, then turns right into a side canyon and climbs another 650 feet to the falls in the remaining 0.9 mile. The falls are seasonal; the best flows occur during spring when the snow is melting. A cave beyond the falls adds interest to the hike and a good overview of the area.
In 2011, the trail was heavily damaged by irresponsible hikers cutting the switchbacks and making the actual trail difficult to follow and dangerous in places. The trail crew fixed the switchbacks, but please stay on trail to protect it and the environment.
