Recently renovated: this unit was purchased in august 2014 and has all new furniture, kitchen equipment, linens and towels.

Prime location: great access to moonlight lodge and the iron horse lift for direct skiing to either moonlight basin or big sky terrain. After skiing it is a short walk to the newly renovated moonlight lodge for apres ski, cocktails and/or dinner.

Great views: panoramic, unobstructed views of the Spanish peaks mountain range from every room.

Floor plan: approximately 1750 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, sleeps 9 in beds.

Upstairs is the master, with a king bed, and a twin bed in a separate alcove. There is a private bath with shower/tub. A walk in closet, large dresser and drawers under the king bed provide ample storage. A flat screen TV and music source are there for entertainment.

On the main level is the open floor plan living, dining and kitchen. High ceilings and a slate fireplace with wood mantle make this a nice space to relax. A 50' flat screen TV, blu-ray and music source provide entertainment here. The dining table seats 8 and there is seating for 4 at the bar.

The entry level has slate floors and a live edge wood bench to sit down and take your boots off. There are hooks and 2 closets for storing your gear and clothing. The large powder room for guests keeps the main bathrooms private.

Downstairs there are 2 bedrooms and another bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed, music and a sliding door to the hot tub on the lower deck. The other bedroom has a double bunk with a twin on top and a pull out trundle underneath. There is a dresser with flat screen tv and music.

Down a few steps is a separate area with side by side washer and dryer.

High speed internet allows you to be connected.

Winter: the biggest skiing in the us, with 5800 acres of terrain for everyone from beginner to expert. Great snow conditions and no crowds make this a special experience! There is world class cross country skiing at near-by lone mountain ranch.

Summer: hike or mountain bike right out the front door. Fly fishing and rafting are right down the road on the Gallatin river. Golf with amazing views! Yellowstone park is a beautiful 75 minute down down the canyon along the river.

Our family has skied all over the country for many years. When we reached the point of purchasing our own place, Big Ski was the obvious choice. There is simply no other place with the range of skiing, lack of lines and ready amenities that Big Sky offers.

Soon the next generations of Petersons will be arriving and learning to ski. We are excited to make many more family memories at this great condo and resort!

Why Carl Peterson chose Saddle Ridge

Saddle Ridge offers the best ski access to the terrain that we love to ski. We can go right to our favorite runs at either Moonlight or Big Sky from here, and hit the un-tracked powder. We also like the opportunity to walk to the Lodge for apres ski, drinks and/or a great dinner.

We also liked the floor plan of these units. We appreciate the open living space with high ceilings and views. Having a nice entry way, with a bench, great storage and the powder room is very practical.

What makes this condo unique

This unit allowed us the opportunity to start with a clean slate. We enjoyed being able to furnish and decorate it to our taste.

Beautiful location. Just as pictures and fully stocked facility. Wish there was a screen door in the downstairs bedroom to prevent bugs from coming in when hot tub is in use or sleeping with door open.

The Vacation "Saver"!

After my original lodging plan fell-through, the owners of this wonderful Saddle Ridge home saved the day (and week!). Within an hour of contacting Carl...and even though he was on vacation, himself...he arranged to get my son and myself settled into his beautiful home on the same day. The home is wonderful and has fantastic views of multiple mountains, wherever you look. The home itself is lovely, well-designed and decorated, and offered all the amenities for which we were looking. A special shout-out to Tim, who got the place ready for us on very short notice, and ensured that it was all warmed up and ready upon our arrival (most importantly, the hot tub was HOT!). Thanks again for a wonderful stay...we'll be back.

Look no further....

My family and I recently visited Big Skye in August. This included my parents, two sisters, and my niece and nephew who are 8 and 5 year old. This location was perfect for us. My parents loved the master bedroom and bathroom. My niece and nephew got a kick out of the bunk beds. The place is in great shape and greatly equipped for all your kitchen and home needs. Plenty of plates, silverware, towels, and a fan and heater in every single bedroom.

For first timers to Big Skye you are less than 10 minutes away from groceries, restaurants, and other stores. Also you are very close to the Big Skye resorts and the Ski Lifts, amazing view and scenery must check out! And you are about a little over an hour to Yellowstone

I want to thank Carl and Mark for sharing their property with us, you made our first trip to the Yellowstone Park that much better. Would definitely stay at this location again if I can! Thanks again!

Best Vacation in a long time

Thank you Carl for opening your beautiful townhouse for our family recently. We had 6 in our group and had ample room for sleeping and spreading out...and the 3 bathrooms were also a big help. The kitchen was wonderful for making breakfast. Laundry room was handy for keeping our bathing suits dry after evenings in the hot tub. We were able to sit on the deck and see the sun rise over the mountains, listen to the birds, and relax with a cup of coffee. Nice trailhead for hiking within a 100 yards. Beautiful views (Lone Peak was breathtaking), peaceful, relaxing. Yellowstone was just over an hour away. Big Sky Resort activities/restaurants were 5 minutes away. And to be picky, there were three flaws. One, the entry stairs carpet was stained (not a big deal to us...we have teenagers); two, the upstairs showerhead spray was not able to focus down (again, not a big deal); and three, the upstairs got a little warm...the A/C wasn't able to keep it comfortable since we were there in July, but with a fan (provided) in the window at night bringing in the cool outside air, we were affected minimally. We were very happy and would stay there again in a second. Worth every penny! 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. And I appreciate your comments. We are heading out there later this month and will fix the shower head and see what we can do with the carpet. I am not sure what we can do with the air conditioning issue as there are not many days during the year when that is a problem. I do know that leaving the air handling fan on continuously can help. Nice location, but not comfortable. Broken fireplace. Would not stay again.

We have been renting very successfully through Homeaway and VRBO for 10 years. We are always grateful to people for sharing their vacation homes so we can escape to a winter wonderland from Florida a couple times a year. This was our first time staying in Big Sky Resort, and the price for this unit for the Holiday 2015 was very reasonable, so we booked it. Keith was responsive with all our emails as we planned our trip, and even grabbed us some Christmas lights for a tree we planned to buy upon our arrival since there was not one in the unit. It was a nice touch.

We had spectacular powder all week, which made for a perfect winter retreat. The unit is ideally located next to Moonlight Lodge, and the Lodge was stunning over the holidays. We loved it. My husband has a weak hip, so the Moonlight lift wound up not working out for us since the exit from the lift is too steep. We made do with driving to Big Sky and Madison, which was very easy.

The unit was modestly equipped with kitchen needs. The place is clean, and the master bedroom was comfortable. The bunk room was okay, but you cannot sit on the couch to watch TV without hitting your head, so it limited our teenagers' escape to their own private hang out. The temperature regulation was tricky. The living room furniture looks very chic, but was uncomfortable. No way for 4 people to relax and hang out without someone sitting on the floor or sideways on a chair. (I am not sure what you would do with 9 people)

The fireplace did not work the whole time we were there. Maintenance Staff could not get it to turn on. Ice maker was broken also. We were asked to permit a real estate showing in exchange for a gift certificate towards dinner at Moonlight Lodge. We agreed even though we were not skiing that day and had to clean and leave the house. It seemed important to the owners.

Given the issues, we were shocked to be charged $90 to remove our 3.5 foot tabletop tree. There was confusion on whether to leave it for the next guests or dispose of it. When Keith's text message finally got through that the owners wanted us to dispose of it, we were already gone. I offered to give the cleaning person something out of the deposit for the trouble, expecting it to be $20. The $90 tab turned something that was imperfect, but workable into just a bad experience. I have not had a rental go poorly 10 years. I was baffled. Keith was nonetheless, pleasant.

Be sure to check exact dates for special events, both winter and summer. These include extreme skiing, professional bull riding circuit event and the new Vine and Dine.
