Summerwind is nestled in the rustic village of Boscobel, St Mary Parrish. Built on a hillside property a mile from the Caribbean Shore, this home offers unparalleled views of the vibrant sea. Upon arriving, you will find yourself in a secret paradise with Casablanca fans enhancing the fresh warm breezes, surrounded by large windows with screens open to the sea. Have fun picking your own fresh in-season fruits from the garden. The list includes: key limes, june plum, plantain, banana, mint, and lemongrass. Enjoy fresh food, fresh air 24 hours a day. No air conditioning. Yes, only fresh sea breezes. We can accommodate large families, or a large group of friends.
The blue hand-stuccoed ceilings mimic the ocean waves and the hand painted mural surrounds you with fanciful tropical plants. Our home was designed with our guests in mind. Each suite measures 16 by 16 feet with individual attached private bathroom/showers- 8 by 12 feet. The great room measures 28 by 36 feet, and opens into the spacious kitchen, creating an open concept living area. There are two lower levels to be completed in the future.
The area is newly developed and still quiet, except for the evening songs from the tree frogs. Stars look as though you can touch them, with or without the mounted telescope. The veranda circles to the back of the home, and is 30 feet above ground level for constant shade and breeze, offering a place for solitude and reflection. Or you may prefer to relax on the sun deck, basking in the warmth of the Jamaican climate.
Experience the real Jamaica through private, custom tours of local attractions and native life by us and our staff. Avoid the commercialism and rush of prepackaged tours.
A full staff can be provided to cook, guide and housekeep for you. There is security on the premises.
