A large open apartment that is clean and accommodating for up to 4 people
Enjoy a hot shower which is stocked with towels. Arrange laundry requirements as needed. (Burke Dry Cleaners at Raintree Crossing - Drake Road and Shields Street intersection.) City water and electricity rates support careful and conscientious use of energy-appreciate it! Enjoy home-made Fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies on the day of arrival! Welcome Home-made gourmet breakfast arranged at arrival. For example: French toast blueberry casserole with warm fruit topping, crisp natural bacon strips, fruit salad with whipped cream and almonds, fresh homemade coffee and creamer or Homemade crust with Broccoli-cheese Quiche, Browned Natural Sausage patties, Apple Crisp, and Fresh hot coffee with creamer, or Baked Egg Soufflé, Crisp Natural Bacon strips, and Homemade Fruit Muffins, Fresh hot coffee with creamer. - The apartment easily accommodates a family of 3 or 4. 13 steps down to a separate apartment. The apartment is 1200 square feet. There is one bedroom that expands to another area which has a daybed with trundle and drawers underneath. If traveling with a baby, bring a pack-n-play. There's plenty of room. (Check-in at 3pm or later.) When checking out (by 10am), please empty trash and recycleables, put dirty dishes in red bowl, and leave apartment in good condition for next guests. Spring Creek biking trails are 3 blocks North and West. Roland Moore Park is North across Drake Road. At Roland Moore you have the softball games, play basketball, volleyball, children's equipment, or walk along the path. Many people bike these trails throughout Ft Collins.
CSU campus is just 2 miles North up Shields Street. From there continue North and East on Mountain Avenue to walk around historic downtown Fort Collins among the many shops and restaurants.
At the fountain in old town, during summer months listen to various local musicians and visiting groups while enjoying great food from nearby restaurants.

About the owner: I am a semi-retired Medical Billing Coordinator and Business teacher. I keep house and entertain with Rusty. Rusty is a 10-year-old registered Australian Shepherd. My three children are grown and have left the nest! Along side this business, I tutor and teach a few students how to play piano. My interests are broad: fitness and healthy living, reading, music, Europe, Broncos, RMNP, walking, and now seeing our country!
Why the Owner Chose West Swallow, Fort Collins, CO, USA:
We started here and made this home a comfortable, updated, clean dwelling. It has a beautiful yard with mature landscaping, tables and chairs outside, nearby walking/biking trails, Spring Creek and Roland Moore Park. If you want to explore our city, we have museums, miniature golf, golf, a dinner theater, movies, mountains, streams, Horse Tooth Reservoir, and shopping. We also have wonderful restaurants and breweries to visit. Downtown is very popular for walking and browsing many shops and restaurants. Entertainment at the downtown plaza is fun during summer. In August is the August Fest. Taste of Ft. Collins is in June. Many locals bike everywhere on the bike lanes or the bike trails. Fitness is serious business for many here. This property is 2 miles from downtown and several blocks from the trail to Roland Moore Park trail or Spring Creek bike trail.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
During summer months, you will find it spacious, comfortable, and cool. In winter, it is warm, spacious comfortable, and relaxing. The quarters are also very clean and attractively decorated. During the week, if you want chocolate chip cookies, just let me know. I have met many interesting people through this business! We are located on a family-oriented, dead-end street. The children often play on their skate boards, hockey, basketball, and riding their bikes. Watch for them as you approach the house. Close within driving distance is our shopping mall and Centerra shopping center in Loveland. Estes Park is up Highway 34 about 45 minutes (Use High 7 as 34 is under construction this winter.) CU Boulder is also within driving distance up Highway 287 West on Highway 66, South on Hover Street in Longmont. You can easily catch Highway 119 and go West to Boulder. Pearl Street is a well known area as well as CU campus. Maps for these areas are posted in the apartment for viewing. Throughout your travels, you will likely see deer, elk, mountain sheep, marmots, squirrels, and maybe bear and beaver, or wild turkeys. The elk have made their home in Estes Park and wonder throughout town without fear. Park in the drive-way or on the street. Welcome to my house! Enjoy your stay!
