About Robyn McCulloch
After galavanting all over the planet, I have chosen to call Taos my base camp for the past 12 years. The land and people of New Mexico first captured my heart in 1980 for my college internship at the Santa Fe Mountain Center. Nothing compares to the diversity found here in terms of landscape, people, red or green, music, and options for adventure. My career has been a blend of guiding and managing outdoor adventures, primarily all things water-related, in Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, East Africa, and North/Central/South America. Time for a story? Got plenty. Traipsing around the globe led to executive development with powerful leaders and organizational transformation. My life-long interests are everything outdoors, wholehearted dancing, supporting my community, and experiencing ethnic foods from far reaching regions. I attempt to live life full-out and hope you will too when visiting our region. If you’re visiting on a Sunday, come on over to Taos Mesa Brewing for the 2-Steppin’ Series with live bands and say hey. Ain’t nuthin’ better than boot scootin’ on a Sunday evening! While I don't live on-site, I am responsive (especially to texts) from 8am-8pm.

Why Robyn McCulloch chose El Prado
The southwestern USA has had a firm grip on my heartstrings for decades. Taos won out over Santa Fe. A little more quirky, she’s a unique blend of rivers and mountains, high desert and alpine, pine & pinion, and the best part---cosmopolitan people in a caring community with access to great music, art, and cultural events. This particular property was purchased to serve as a self-employed 'pension plan', co-owned with my business partner and friend, Sally Jones, who lives in Tahoe. Originally, all 3 duplexes were long-term rentals that followed our real estate plan developed in the Reno-Tahoe area. Enough requests came flooding in to create a short-term rental for visiting friends and colleagues to enjoy the Southwest, so the call has been heeded. Y'all are invited too!
What makes this Condo unique
Get out and about. Feel the magic! By day, discover ancient rock formations and pictographs in the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument while hiking or boating. By night, drive into town---a straight shot---for delicious restaurants, fantastic live music with local musicians or big names on tour and any number of cultural festivals and celebrations. Winter time offers alpine skiing, telemarking, or snowboarding 'til your legs fall off up at Taos Ski Valley -- or -- cross country ski or snowshoe at Enchanted Forest in Red River. Not into snow? The property is quiet and surrounded by sweeping mountain views and western profile vistas to rest into. You'll soon learn why we call Taos the Land of Entrapment!

Great dog-friendly stay
The Taos Adventure Spot was a great place for us to stay with our 2 dogs for a little less than 2 weeks. The kitchen was well equipped so that we were able to cook while we were there. It was a peaceful location - north of town but still close proximity and easy access to everything we needed. Really appreciated that the dogs were welcome - backyard plus extra bowls and wet dog towels too. We really enjoyed the chips and salsa upon arrival as well as having plenty of towels/washcloths for a longer stay. The unit was clean and spacious. I'd highly recommend it!
Thanks so much for coming to Taos, Kristy! You and your 4-legged family members were most welcome. C'mon back and stay with us again.
Comfortable & Clean
Just minutes from the center of Taos, comfortable and clean accomodations. Listing was described accurately. Really enjoyed Millicent Rogers Museum, hiking, and great food at Orlandos.
Happy to welcome you all the way from the East Coast, Holly! A rich variety of trails for you and Celeste to explore further on another trip - stunning aspen colors happening now. And yes, we Taoseños are real proud of the food Orlandos serves up!
Just what we needed
This condo was perfect for our stay. It was clean and nicely set up with everything we needed. We had our toddler and two dogs with us and everyone enjoyed the stay. It was great to have both an enclosed courtyard and fenced backyard for the dogs to play in. Robyn was great at getting back to us quickly via text and email with everything that we needed to know. This is in a great location- amazing views (we got to see some beautiful sunsets and a lightning storm during our stay) and close to Taos, the ski valley, the gorge, etc. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we have a chance to visit Taos.
Thank you so much, Melodie. A pleasure to have you and ALL your family, including the 4-leggeds! C'mon back and visit Taos again.

Robyn's place was a clean, comfortable Taos style casita in a convenient location.
Robyn was extremely great at communicating and being responsive. The place was well stocked, clean and easy to find. It was super easy to get to town for restaurants and also accessible to the mountains for hiking. It was a great experience.
