What an ABSOLUTELY amazing family getaway!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this cabin for 4 nights for our family of 4 children, and we had an AMAZING time!!!! It is so secluded and away from it all that you can really relax and enjoy!!! The best part is how much there is to do right on premises. We went swimming, played in the sand, went boating and hiking all without even moving our car!!!!! We did check out the delaware county fair one day and REALLY enjoyed it!!! The cabin itself was clean, airy and very well stocked!!! It was also so child friendly with games and toys, which was an added bonus for us!!!! Thank you Robin for such a wonderful getaway and family time.

Peaceful and relaxing

  • 4 of 5

We recently stayed at this location and had a very pleasant experience overall. The views, private beach and lake where absolutely perfect for the kids. If you are looking to unplug from all the chaos of technology this is a great place to spend quality time with whoever you go with. The cabin is great but could use some updated mattresses for a more restful sleep. They were quite uncomfortable. The oven was very old and was difficult to cook in as it cooked very high even at a low temperatures so things burned quickly. There is only one small airconditioner down stairs so on warm days and nights it is quite stuffy especially upstairs even if you open windows. A more powerful AC or fans or ACs in additional rooms would make a huge difference. Overall our stay was very pleasant. Robin was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The pond was a beautiful place to be in good weather. The privacy was amazing

Quiet Retreat and Great Fishing

  • 5 of 5

I was lucky enough to spend a week at Star Pond this August. I had beautiful weather (low 80's during day, 60's at night) and spent the majority of the week down at the dock.

Mornings and evenings offered great fishing. A couple big bass, and a bunch of medium to small bass were the best catches. Pickerel, crappie, and sunfish mean there are always fish to catch. A couple first time fishermen on the trip got their first bass, including the biggest one of the trip. Great place to teach someone to fish! Used the electric pontoon boat to access the entire pond on nice days. Watched sunsets each evening from boat or dock. Great to see and hear the wildlife of northern PA!

Evenings offer peace, quiet, and a ton of stars. The pond is aptly named. On clear nights, there are hundreds of stars, and we saw quite a few shooting stars and a couple satellites.

Cooked on the grill every night and bought produce, eggs, and beef at Catskill Cattle Company. People there were very friendly and sweet corn was an A+.

Cabin is comfortable. During the day you'll get great breezes with the windows open. Bedrooms are warm at night. Cell service inside and out is sometimes spotty, but if you want to unplug for a while, this is a great spot.

Robin and her family are kind and helpful and will make you feel welcome. Not sure where next years vacation will bring me, but I expect to be back at Star Pond in the future.

Private

A great cabin with nice property managers, Nothing like sitting on the floating dock at sunrise and especially at sunset. The only hard part is leaving at the end of your stay..Swimming in the pond was wonderful with the cabins sand beach. The cabin is so well insulated we had to strain to hear the downpour at night.Do want to come back.
