Bob Spector purchased this House in 2013
Why Bob Spector chose Siesta Key
Siesta Key - the #1 beach in the US - do we really need to say more? We've lived in northeast FL for over 30 years and have always wanted to live on the Gulf Coast and specifically, Siesta Key. We've been traveling up and down the Gulf Coast trying to find the 'right place' and the car just kept steering its way back to Siesta Key on its own. The island is inviting, fun and peaceful not to mention restful. It's simply the right place and the right home - simple as that.
What makes this House unique
The neighborhood philosophy is 'keep it calm and the enjoy the area' and that speaks volumes for us and hopefully you. The common areas provide an easy flow to the home and the 4 sets of wide sliding glass doors provide easy access to the pool area as well as a nice peaceful breeze off the canal.

Bob and Carol's Siesta Key rental home was a great place to stay. The home was very clean and the best equiped rental we have stayed in. There was nothing we needed except to bring in our clothing and our food. We spent most of out time outside around the pool area and ate our meals under the covered patio table. The neighborhood was very quiet and it was easy to get to the village and Beach. We brought our bikes and rode every day around the island.
We are so happy to hear that your stay on Siesta Key and in our home was such a good experience! We look forward to having your family return next year! Thanks again - Bob
Great time - Great home
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - home is set up and furnished smartly for the guests - the owners were wonderful to deal with and our pet loved the walks thru the quiet neighborhood - also loved a fresh cup of coffee out on the pool lanai watching the fish "flop" - very relaxing
Clean, quiet, close to beach and restaurants
We stayed at this property while we were in the process of remodeling are home. We were here for about a month and it was the perfect location for us. Our daughter loved fishing off the dock and caught her first fish! It's on a quiet dead end street which worked out really good for us allowing our daughter to play out front and ride her bike. The home was very clean and well stocked. It was ideal having two master suites each with their own bathrooms.
So happy you enjoyed your stay at our home - I'm glad that your daughter caught her first fish!! How great was that!
What a beautiful setting, the palm trees, all of the tropical plants, it was j wonderful.
The house itself is so welcoming. It is spacious, beautifully decorated and just so comfortable. From the very well equipped kitchen to the very comfortable beds our whole stay there was just wonderful.
We spent many lazy hours floating in the heated pool which is screened in or sitting out back ,on the canal, watching the beautiful birds and the fish that jump up out of the water. ( We called them flip flops).
There are so many things to do in the area , from spending hours at one of the best beaches in the US to a day at the Mote Aquarium or Myakka State Park.
I can't forget to mention our wonderful hosts, Bob and Carol. They made sure our stay was just wonderful and we would recommend this property to any one.
Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our home - we love watching the fish flops as well - we haven't figured out why they jump like they do but it's fun to watch - Siesta Key is a great place to get away
The house was just lovely, well equipped, clean, comfortable and the heated, screened in pool divine.. Located on a canal, in a beautiful residential area, we found it to be relaxing and quiet.
We found many wonderful activities in the area, reasonably priced, including the Mote Aquarium ( just great!) , the beautiful beaches (Siesta Beach is always named at the top of the 10 best beaches in the USA) Myakka State Park and many, many more great attractions.
Coming from the cold weather of Western PA it was just delightful to be enveloped in all of that beautiful, lush, tropical greenery.
The owners were so great to work with and we are looking forward to returning next year.
Very comfortable home where we had a relaxing holiday
The home was very comfortable and had very modern equipment - excellent kitchen appliances and washing machine + drier. We do not eat out often and found everything we wanted in the kitchen, including a kettle which is rare in Florida homes we have stayed in before ( we are from UK so make a lot of hot tea!) Master bedroom is very big with TV and excellent bathroom. It was also useful to be able to walk into another bathroom/shower room direct from the swimming pool. Unfortunately when we arrived the pool was cold so Bob arranged to have it turned on but it was found that the heater was faulty. Bob did his best to get it sorted but It was not repaired until 5 days after our arrival and as we only stayed for 2 weeks it limited our chance to use pool. This was one of the main reasons we selected this property and I would have given 5 stars if pool had been working on our arrival as it was a big pool & really enjoyable once heated. Thanks for letting us use your home Bob.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation So put your feet up – it’s “Relaxin’ Time” Siesta Key is a beautiful barrier island eight miles long just offshore of Sarasota You will find it alive with tropical atmosphere, blessed with the 'world's finest, whitest beaches,' filled with charming hideaways and always offering plenty to do - but it is also a place to relax and let the warm breezes, cool water and soft white sand transport you to your personal paradise! Siesta Key Sands Siesta Key, Florida is very proud of our sand. In fact, we have the “World’s Finest Whitest Sand”. You’ll find beautiful seashells on Siesta’s white sands and you’ll find the finest beach-front vacation rentals and showcase homes on the Key, too. What else can you find on the sands of Siesta Key? You are sure to see and hear our wild parrots and the friendly pelicans while you stroll the breathtaking 8 mile long barrier island that is Siesta Key. Siesta Village is famous for its wild parrots up in the swaying palm trees as well as many other shore birds including terns, plovers, ibis, spoonbills and storks. Bird watching is one of the favorite activities of residents and visitors alike. The many varieties of wading birds, like the beautiful snowy egret and the great heron are just a few of the different types on our beaches and in our village. Keep an eye out for our 4 to 5 foot tall Florida Sand Hill Cranes with their bright red heads and distinctive calling sounds. You will often see two walking side by side since they mate for life. Our birds seem to live comfortably among the people of Siesta Key. Many species of exotic flowers, tropical trees and flowering shrubs and plants thrive in our sub-tropical climate as well. Off-shore dolphins and manatees are often spotted frolicking in the gulf and bay waters. The bright white sands of Siesta Key are 99% pure quartz and are always cool to the touch. Quartz is said to have magical healing powers. Maybe this is why the residents and visitors on the beaches of Siesta Key always seem so happy. Many come to Siesta’s pristine white sand to take in it mystical powers. You might find something even a little more valuable than magical quartz in the sands of Siesta Key. Go west to Siesta Key’s Point of Rocks and you could just find a centuries old buried pirate’s treasure. Legend has it that the area at Point of Rocks was often visited by pirates burying treasure. Point of Rocks also happens to be hailed as the best snorkeling on the west coast of Florida! If you happen to be on Siesta Key in early May, you may see some pretty unusual things in the sands. No, not sand castles, but World-Class sand sculptures. The finest sand sculpture artists the world show up to work their magic in the sand at the Siesta Key Sand Sculpture Contest. This is a world class event, you won’t want to miss. You may even want to stay steps from this magical sand during your stay on Siesta Key, and you don’t need a tent. There are cottages, bungalows, homes and 4-star resorts for rent throughout Siesta Key, and on the mainland of Sarasota just a few miles away over the bridge. If there were a sand contest, Siesta Key would surely win it. Oh, wait, Siesta Key did win the International Sand Contest in 1987 for having the best overall sand. Did you catch the International part? That means that Siesta Key has the best sand in the world! The Travel Channel doesn’t disagree. In 2004 the Travel Channel’s Best Beaches in America show featured Siesta Key as the Best Sand Beach. Siesta Key has won many, many other best beach and best sand contests over the years as well. It’s no wonder the town has made the sand its motto. Siesta Key truly does have the World’s Finest Whitest Sand. Watersports abound on Siesta Key. For the energetic you'll find excellent sailboarding, fishing, snorkeling; or how about a little Parasailing? If you prefer more relaxation in your vacation, a personalized boat or sailing charter might be more enticing. Along Midnight Pass Road to the south and along Beach Road to the north of Crescent Beach are several public beach accesses and parking. At the south end of the key is Turtle Beach. The beach is not as crowded as Siesta Key Beach and has a great abundance of seashells.
