This was our third year at Villa Betty and we're planning to be back next year, God willing. There's a wonderful shabby-chic feel about the property with interesting art work and furniture but the main star is the Mediterranean view from the pool. The area is quiet, which isn't surprising given the location. Monte Sancha is a hill adjacent to the hill housing the castle and fortress so you're certainly elevated! There are circuitous walks down to the town or beach. It's certainly good exercise walking back but taxi fares are reasonable. Calle Cedros is the street of cedar trees and there's a couple of impressive specimens in the grounds. Betty's street number is 13 but she's far from unlucky. Málaga is a wonderful city for our annual school reunion being accessible from most airports. Culture, cuisine, and relaxing beaches. I'd recommend a stroll east along the seafront to Pedregalejo, especially if you're a seafood fan. It's quite difficult tearing yourself away from just relaxing with Betty though but if the weather is inclement then the City's museums and galleries are excellent. There's no time to be bored in Pablo Picasso's birthplace. The marina area is spectacular and well worth a visit but I find it lacking the atmosphere of the City Centre. Betty is a great spot to enjoy Málaga and all there is to offer but if you're not satisfied then the high speed trains mean a day out further afield is easily within reach.
Top Class Villa
The Villa was perfect for my big family.
The pool was a winner, during the hot Aug summer.
A relaxing stay yet close to Málaga centre.
This is a superb villa with a wonderful pool. This was my second stay with my old school friends. We are all in our sixties. It may not be suitable for families with small children but fine for older children. A damage bond of €500 is taken on arrival. It is a quiet neighbourhood and noise is frowned upon. As Villa Betty is situated near the top of Monte Sancha, which is the next hill from the centre after the Gibralfaro Castle, it has an uninterrupted view over the Mediterranean. Taxis are relatively cheap. It is possible to walk down the hill either to Málaga centre or to the beach and onwards to the excellent fish restaurants of Pedregalejo and El Palo. This was our fifth consecutive stay in Málaga. We have stayed in Pedregalejo, the centre and Villa Betty and are hoping to book the villa next summer. I cannot give a better recommendation than that.
Beautiful location and views
Huge villa with loads of space. Fantastic views of the ocean and beach. Really quite and peaceful at night.
A truly sumptuous villa this certainly is.
As a group of six ageing male school friends, now scattered around Britain, we have been meeting up each year since we turned sixty. For the last four years Málaga has been our choice. The city goes from strength to strength. We have stayed in Pedregalejo and the centre but none of the properties was ideal. We had some misgivings about the accessibility of Monte Sancha but needn't have worried. The taxi fare up is a few euros and the walk down to the beach or centre is good exercise. The view is well worth the effort. The villa has seven bedrooms which suited us perfectly. The pool is excellent, deep and salt water. Horacio met us and he couldn't have been more helpful. He must have had some concerns but, hopefully, we allayed his fears by the end of our stay. Please have us back next year!
This house is just unique. Great location, amazing views, big spaces and very helpful staff. I will go back if needed
