We had a great stay, near beach and coastal paths. Garden patio areas lovely and private, great for morning coffee and afternoon tea. You could stay in and enjoy view or use games, books, etc. Great place.

Great holiday cottage

  • 5 of 5

Great holiday cottage in a quiet location in Carbis Bay. The house was very well equipped, clean, homely and spacious enough for 5 adults. There was lots of useful information about the area available as well as dvd's, books and board games. It was also good to have the outside space to enjoy the view and the sun ! We would definitely stay at Beachside again . Pemberton Family

A fantastic house with beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in Carbis Bay with our two teenage daughters. There was a lot of space for everyone in the house, the garden was beautiful and so were the views from the garden. The house was very close to the sea - and the beach - and the coastal path to St Ives was fantastic and easy to walk. We also experienced many other wonderful places in Cornwall within a short distance from the house. An extra plus was the excellent vegetarian restaurant just a few hundred meters from the property (The Bean Inn).

Lovely property in quiet location

  • 5 of 5

Despite the weather, or perhaps because of it, we really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. We had to stay in more than we would have liked, but because the house is so well appointed it was not a hardship.Bryan, the owner, has really thought of everything you could possibly need to make your stay a comfortable one . It's location was just what we wanted, being a 5 minute drive from St Ives, and near the end of an extremely quiet cul -de -sac,which meant that we hardly heard a sound for the week we were there.Great views over Carbis Bay itself.

Car: recommended

Carbis Bay is just less than 2 miles from St Ives. You can walk along the picturesque coastal path into St Ives in 15 Minutes in one direction or the village, beaches, dunes and West Cornwall golf course of Lelant in the other. If you are looking for the magnificent scenery of St Ives but want a slightly quieter life then Carbis Bay is a great base. The direct access to the St Ives branch railway line means that the car may never be required. Historic St Ives itself is renowned for its cosmopolitan mix of restaurants and cafes, art galleries, beaches and scenery and whether you are simply looking for a week on one of the many beaches, or an energetic mix of surfing, golf, walking or diving, there is something here for you. Further afield, Penzance, St Michael's Mount, Lands End, beautiful Sennen Cove (surfing), Padstow (cooking courses with Rick Stein), Newquay (indoor water world) and St Austell (Eden Project) are all within easy reach either by Car or Train.
