About the property

2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 5 - 10

Shiloh's Rest is an inviting log cabin which offers all the comforts of home. Shiloh's rest is located in the prestigious Legacy Mountain Resort. The views from this resort will give you a sense of excitement before you even get to your 'home away from home'. As you turn each corner, take note of the beauty all around you. The builder paid much attention to detail when designing this resort. The roads are wide, paved and well maintained. The cabins are exceptionally built. The resort is located in Sevierville, just outside of Pigeon Forge, in a peaceful environment that is only minutes away from restaurants, shopping and family entertainment.

Here are a few things this charmingly crafted cabin has to offer:

* Main level features an open floor plan with large glass windows to let the sunshine in and to enjoy the breathtaking mountain views.

* Spectacular views can be appreciated from almost anywhere in the cabin.

* Vaulted cathedral ceilings give the main level an open airy feeling.

* Tongue and groove walls and ceilings throughout.

* Living room, dining room and king master suite on the main level have gleaming hardwood floors.

* Main level king master suite has its own private bath.

* Full size kitchen has stainless steel appliances, tile floors and a breakfast bar with three bar stools.  The kitchen has everything you will need to prepare your meals - except the food.

* Handsome dining room table has seating for six.

* Cozy stack stone electric fireplace and large flat screen TV in the living room.

* Pool table in the loft rec area where the whole family can play and enjoy some quality time together.

* Downstairs sitting area with air hockey table and more of those large glass windows.

* Lower level king master suite with a large closet, huge bathroom with whirlpool tub and separate shower.

 * Lower level deck hot tub.

This cabin does not participate in Legacy Mountain Resort Amenities at this time. Guests who stay with us at Shiloh's Rest will not have access to the seasonal outdoor pool, sauna, steam room or work out facilities in Legacy Mountain Resort.

Legacy Mountain Resort is approximately 13 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (utilizing the back roads to avoid traffic) and about 6 1/2 miles from Dollywood and downtown Pigeon Forge.

Great Place for family

  • 5 of 5

Shiloh's rest is beautiful, fun to drive to and exceptionally clean. The cabin in minutes from Pigeon Force yet isolated from it and only about 25 minutes to Smoky Mountain National Park. The cabin is a fastastic place to unwind and have some time together with family. The owners and management company obviously show tremendous love and care for their special place.

Beautiful views, nice cabin layout and easy access.

  • 4 of 5

The views from this cabin's main level windows and deck are spectacular. I love the layout of the cabin. It is clean and well furnished. The door locking system worked well; we have been in cabins where it did not! One suggestion would be to replace the mattresses. Maybe it's just the type they are, but the springs seemed to be pretty worn. Overall though, good location and great cabin!

Owner's Response: We are so happy you enjoyed the views and the cabin. The mattresses are actually a very high quality Sealy. We have had many people rave about them. We were just at the cabin in March. Everyone in our group found the beds very comfortable. Even my sister n law who is very particular about her bed. We realize everyone has their own preferences and we appreciate your feedback.

Most Amazing

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I were blown away when we walked into the cabin and raised the blinds - it was an amazing view. WE love it! The cabin was very clean and neat - the view was awe-inspiring! I took hundreds of photos of the mountains, early in the morning, late in the evening and then all during the day when we were there in the cabin. Loved it!!

Owner's Response: We too sometimes wonder how the view can change with the different positions of the sun and clouds. I never tire of gazing at those beautiful Smoky Mountains. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

A nice relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Shiloh's Rest and we had a wonderful time. We needed to get away to unwind and recharge and this was the perfect place to do it. The view is just fantastic and the cabin was neat and clean. Maybe I need to get some new towels in my own home because these seemed especially soft.

There are so many things to do in the area we didn't see nearly enough

We will be back!!

Dollywood is one of the world’s best known theme parks, from the roller coasters, rides, restaurants and shows to the museums and entertainment; you will need to plan to spend at least one full day here. The park is great for the whole family and just minutes from the cabin.

Titanic Museum: We went to the Titanic Museum, although a little pricey, we thought it was very interesting. The museum is a replica of the ship that sank in 1912 from the cabins, dining areas, to the grand staircase you see in the movies. You get a good feel for what it would have been like to be aboard the ship during its final voyage. One of the most interesting things to us was at the end when you entered a room where all the conditions were the same as the night the Titanic went down. You could feel how cold the air was, touch an iceberg and dip your hand in the frigid 26 degree water and realize you can’t leave your hand in it for long. It makes you realize what it would have been like to be dumped into the ocean that night. Good for the whole family, although maybe not for the very little ones.

The Dixie Stampede is good for the whole family. You will enter a 3500 square foot arena and be treated to a meal of chicken, pork loin, potatoes, vegetables and desert. Then you will see a friendly rivalry between the North and the South. 32 horses, talented riders and herding buffalo, it is a unique experience that everyone will enjoy.

The Lumber Jack Feud, although geared more toward our younger guests its real authentic lumberjack action. With competing ESPN Lumberjack athletes, zip lines, draft horses, Timber Dogs and comedy, it will have your family on the edge of their seats! Taking place in a new 10 million dollar arena, its axe swinging, log rolling, tree climbing, chainsaw carving action will offer an experience unlike anything else in the Smoky Mountains!

Wonderworks: Young and old alike will appreciate the hands-on activities, interactive exhibits and demonstrations. Wonderworks in Pigeon Forge has an inversion tunnel, an anti-gravity chamber, a replica of the Mercury space capsule and a hurricane hole with 65-mph winds. The re-creation of the 1989 San Francisco earthquake lets you experience the effects of a 5.3 magnitude earthquake. There are more than 150 interactive exhibits at Wonderworks in Pigeon Forge, TN, including the Bubble Room, where you can wrap yourself inside a giant bubble!

Elvis Museum and Gift Shop: If you are an Elvis fan you don’t want to miss the Elvis museum.

Roaring Fork Motor Nature Tour is a scenic drive into the foothills of the Smokies you will see virgin forests - clear, cascading streams - and vestiges of pioneer farms. A hiking trail leads to Grotto Falls and Mt. LeConte. Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is a one-way loop road ending in Gatlinburg.

Cades Cove is an eleven mile driving loop that has authentic homesteads, churches, gristmills, blacksmith shop, etc. We found it interesting and worth the trip. There are plenty of wild life and possible bear sightings. There is also a hiking trail for those of you who enjoy the outdoors. It is a long hike but not difficult.

Clingmans Dome is the highest point in the park and the whole east coast. It is only a .5 miles hike to the peak but it is very steep. The path is paved and wide enough for wheelchairs. On a clear day it has a 360 degree view of the park and surrounding states. Pick the clearest day on your stay if you plan on going here to maximize the view. The road leading to the dome is closed from December through March 31.

Good Eats in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg: Our favorite restaurant is the Alamo Steak House, expensive but good. We also like No Way Jose. A good breakfast place is the Red Rooster and the Pancake House at traffic light #10. You cannot go wrong because there are lots of places to eat in the area.

White Water Rafting: We have not rafted here but we have had some great feedback from guests like you.

Moonshine distillery is in Gatlinburg and is pretty cool. History of moonshine includes the Nascar connection, moonshine making view windows, actual moonshine transport vehicles, live music and of course many different kinds of moonshine with free taste testing. Below is the link for more information.

Horseback riding is also something we have not done but looks like fun.
