Sevierville Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 5 - 10

Shiloh's Rest is an inviting log cabin which offers all the comforts of home. Shiloh's rest is located in the prestigious Legacy Mountain Resort. The views from this resort will give you a sense of excitement before you even get to your 'home away from home'. As you turn each corner, take note of the beauty all around you. The builder paid much attention to detail when designing this resort. The roads are wide, paved and well maintained. The cabins are exceptionally built. The resort is located in Sevierville, just outside of Pigeon Forge, in a peaceful environment that is only minutes away from restaurants, shopping and family entertainment.

This charmingly crafted cabin features the best in all wood craftsmanship. The main level features an open floor plan with large glass windows to let the sunshine in and to enjoy the breathtaking mountain views. The spectacular views can be appreciated from almost anywhere in the cabin. The vaulted cathedral ceilings give the main level an open airy feeling. The cabin has tongue and groove walls and ceilings throughout. The living room, dining room and king master suite on this level have gleaming hard wood floors. The main level king master suite has its own private bath.

The full size kitchen on this level has stainless steel appliances, tile floors and a breakfast bar with three bar stools. We have tried to think of everything you will need to prepare your meals - except the food. Enjoy your meal time at the handsome dining room table which has seating for six.

After dinner, retire to the living area with its cozy stack stone electric fireplace and large flat screen TV. Or, why not challenge your family members to a game of pool in the loft rec area where the whole family can play and enjoy some quality time together. Downstairs is a living area with air hockey table and more of those large glass windows. There is another king master suite with a large closet, huge bathroom with whirlpool tub and separate shower on this level.

Outside on the deck on the lower level you can enjoy the amazing Smoky Mountain views while relaxing in the hot tub.

This cabin does not participate in Legacy Mountain Resort Amenities at this time. Guests who stay with us at Shiloh's Rest will not have access to the seasonal outdoor pool, sauna, steam room or work out facilities in Legacy Mountain Resort.

Legacy Mountain Resort is approximately 13 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (utilizing the back roads to avoid traffic) and about 6 1/2 miles from Dollywood and downtown Pigeon Forge.

Beautiful Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We rented both Shiloh's Rest and Our Smokey Mountain View so that our family could have plenty of room to enjoy Thanksgiving. We have two small granddaughters and Shiloh's Rest was perfect for them. The stairs are wide and carpeted which was great for them and eased our fear of a fall. They climbed up and down without a problem. The view is just amazing. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The location is convenient and the road to the cabin is paved and wide. We had an awesome time here and would definitely stay again!

Expectations Meet

  • 5 of 5

Our Family recently returned to the smokies for a 4 night stay and must say the accommodations lived up the name, meaning finding rest. We have visited the smokies several times over the last 10 years, lodging in an assortment of cabin rentals throughout the area but must say this was our favorite to date. The size, cleanlyness, what's provided in terms of entertainment and absolutely the view completely met expectations, really beyond. The entire time we never felt cramped, all had enough space and overall simply enjoyed our time. I know this will be a property we look at again hoping it's available when we make our plans to return!

Owner's Response: We are so glad you found your vacation restful. My husband and I don't agree when it comes to vacation. I love to see and do everything there is to do in the area. My husband loves to sit and relax. That is why we both fell in love with the Sevierivlle area. There is so much to do that I never get bored and I really don't mind sitting and relaxing if I am surrounded by those beautiful Smoky Mountains. We are honored to be your favorite cabin in the Smokies. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words. When we were first looking for our vacation cabin and we saw Legacy Mountain Resort, I knew I wanted my Smoky Mountain Vacation home in Legacy. The views are in our opinion some of the best views of the Smoky Mountains anywhere. We also loved the well built cabins and the nice wide, paved roadways. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

Nice property. Much quieter than I expected.

  • 4 of 5

The property overall was nice. When I was searching for a property I looked at Google Street View to get a sense of views and potential traffic (noise). With the zip lines just below it and the shuttle they run up and down the mountain I expected there to be a lot of noise, but I selected it anyway. Turns out we rarely heard anything at all unless we were on the deck. It really was quieter than I expected.

The bedrooms are fairly large, and the downstairs master bathroom was really big. The couch was comfortable and the kitchen, while small, was large enough for our small group. The main level did not have a deck, nor did the loft. The only deck is on the lowest level where some of the view is blocked by foliage. Not a big deal, the view is still beautiful from the lower deck. The main floor windows offer spectacular views of the mountains, just remember to raise the filters over them.

There were a couple of things that needed attention which I provided to the management. Hopefully those are attended to. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Owner's Response: I always tell our guests the cabins in Legacy Mountain Resort are so well built that once you are inside, you will not even know you have neighbors. There is no deck on the main level. There are very large windows which are nice for looking at the views in the winter when it is too cold to go outside on the deck. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay in the Great Smoky Mountains and look forward to having you back again.

Memorable!

  • 5 of 5

Spectacular views, wonderful location. Rented 2 cabins side by side for us, our daughters, their husbands and 5 grands ranging in age from 8 months to 8 years. Very comfortable and had every amenity we could have asked for. There is some updating that should be done. Furniture is definitely showing its age. Bar stools need to be repaired or replaced. Some minor things here and there. Overall was a great vacation. Highly recommend.

Dollywood is one of the world’s best known theme parks, from the roller coasters, rides, restaurants and shows to the museums and entertainment; you will need to plan to spend at least one full day here. The park is great for the whole family and just minutes from the cabin.

Titanic Museum: We went to the Titanic Museum, although a little pricey, we thought it was very interesting. The museum is a replica of the ship that sank in 1912 from the cabins, dining areas, to the grand staircase you see in the movies. You get a good feel for what it would have been like to be aboard the ship during its final voyage. One of the most interesting things to us was at the end when you entered a room where all the conditions were the same as the night the Titanic went down. You could feel how cold the air was, touch an iceberg and dip your hand in the frigid 26 degree water and realize you can’t leave your hand in it for long. It makes you realize what it would have been like to be dumped into the ocean that night. Good for the whole family, although maybe not for the very little ones.

The Dixie Stampede is good for the whole family. You will enter a 3500 square foot arena and be treated to a meal of chicken, pork loin, potatoes, vegetables and desert. Then you will see a friendly rivalry between the North and the South. 32 horses, talented riders and herding buffalo, it is a unique experience that everyone will enjoy.

The Lumber Jack Feud, although geared more toward our younger guests its real authentic lumberjack action. With competing ESPN Lumberjack athletes, zip lines, draft horses, Timber Dogs and comedy, it will have your family on the edge of their seats! Taking place in a new 10 million dollar arena, its axe swinging, log rolling, tree climbing, chainsaw carving action will offer an experience unlike anything else in the Smoky Mountains!

Wonderworks: Young and old alike will appreciate the hands-on activities, interactive exhibits and demonstrations. Wonderworks in Pigeon Forge has an inversion tunnel, an anti-gravity chamber, a replica of the Mercury space capsule and a hurricane hole with 65-mph winds. The re-creation of the 1989 San Francisco earthquake lets you experience the effects of a 5.3 magnitude earthquake. There are more than 150 interactive exhibits at Wonderworks in Pigeon Forge, TN, including the Bubble Room, where you can wrap yourself inside a giant bubble!

Elvis Museum and Gift Shop: If you are an Elvis fan you don’t want to miss the Elvis museum.

Roaring Fork Motor Nature Tour is a scenic drive into the foothills of the Smokies you will see virgin forests - clear, cascading streams - and vestiges of pioneer farms. A hiking trail leads to Grotto Falls and Mt. LeConte. Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is a one-way loop road ending in Gatlinburg.

Cades Cove is an eleven mile driving loop that has authentic homesteads, churches, gristmills, blacksmith shop, etc. We found it interesting and worth the trip. There are plenty of wild life and possible bear sightings. There is also a hiking trail for those of you who enjoy the outdoors. It is a long hike but not difficult.

Clingmans Dome is the highest point in the park and the whole east coast. It is only a .5 miles hike to the peak but it is very steep. The path is paved and wide enough for wheelchairs. On a clear day it has a 360 degree view of the park and surrounding states. Pick the clearest day on your stay if you plan on going here to maximize the view. The road leading to the dome is closed from December through March 31.

Good Eats in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg: Our favorite restaurant is the Alamo Steak House, expensive but good. We also like No Way Jose. A good breakfast place is the Red Rooster and the Pancake House at traffic light #10. You cannot go wrong because there are lots of places to eat in the area.

White Water Rafting: We have not rafted here but we have had some great feedback from guests like you.

Moonshine distillery is in Gatlinburg and is pretty cool. History of moonshine includes the Nascar connection, moonshine making view windows, actual moonshine transport vehicles, live music and of course many different kinds of moonshine with free taste testing. Below is the link for more information.

Horseback riding is also something we have not done but looks like fun.
