Spring Special! Book Now! Come enjoy the outdoors with your friends and fam!
Welcome to the Dragonfly Cottage and Gardens of Fairview and soon to be wedding venue for intimate backyard weddings!
We have enjoyed creating a warm and cozy space for you and yours when you feel a desire to relax and retreat from your busy life. Our place is perfect for family gatherings or 2 to 3 couples who just want to come enjoy what the Asheville area has to offer!
We are sure you will love it here... The peaceful setting offers mountain views and charm. There is easy access to downtown and the eccentric, bohemian night life. Asheville really sets the stage for fun!
Our cottage offers an array of sleeping arrangements: 1st floor -- BR1: queen bed, BR2: 2 twins. 2nd floor -- BR3: full + futon, BR4: queen. Wifi for your convenience so you can stay connected if you like.
For entertainment there is a 65' smart TV, surround sound w/ Bluetooth for your device, Netflix, and many DVDs (no cable or antenna TV). Upstairs there is a second TV with PS3 and games. There is a wood stove for those chilly nights and a fully equipped kitchen for preparing comforting home cooked meals. My favorite offering is a coffee maker which will make a pot for the whole crew or a single-serve K-cup for one at a time!
The front porch and rear deck are inviting outdoor spaces as well as a lovely garden area to enjoy on sunny days. Covered parking is available for one vehicle. With paved roads and no steep hills to climb the access is easy with any vehicle!
There is onsite management sometimes living in the basement apartment, who can help with any needs that come up as well as advice for places to eat, shop, hike, etc.
So happy you stopped to take a look and hope you see yourself at home away from home here!

Why Jeannine Van Sandt chose Fairview
Asheville has drawn many folks here with all kinds of mysterious explanations such as the vibrations of the Crystal Vortex! A quote: 'Some well known people who have lived in the area include the author Thomas Wolfe, Billy Graham the world evangelist, George Vanderbilt the railroad tycoon, and Robin Williams the actor. You could be the next on the list if you feel the mountains calling, like so many others of the past. 'Pure magic!. Science or Mystery? Some have said that because this area's mountains are filled with quartz (several trillion tons of it!), a piezoelectric effect is acting as a psychic magnet drawing people. Others say the land is divinely blessed and that the Atlanteans once lived here, after fleeing their dying continent. The native Americans of course see this land as sacred.' see more at https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS580US580&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=vortex%20map%20of%20North%20Carolina Ted and I really came (at different times) to the Asheville area for the beautiful scenery and all four seasons where the winters are only moderately cold. It marks the passage of time and tales in an organic way that feels right!

Perfect for a girls trip
House had everything we needed to accommodate 8 ladies! Close to Asheville for a day of shopping and an evening trip to The Biltmore. Would definitely stay here again!
Such a great place to stay! So cute, great amenities, full kitchen, & even complimentary
The owners are so accommodating and give clear instructions for the house. The kitchen has full amenities, the bathrooms have complimentary toiletries, and the House was just perfect for my group! It was about 24 minutes to anything in downtown Asheville, which was just perfect for a quiet night in or a fun night in the city.
We really enjoyed our stay! Kitchen very well equipped. Easy drive from airport and into Asheville. Follow the signs for The Looking Glass Creamery it is a must for cheese lovers.
You all were perfect guests! So happy we could host your group!
We loved this property! It was so cute and Jeannine did a great job making sure our weekend went perfectly. We will definitely be back!
Comfortable house in beautiful location
Wonderful place. Water situation a little complicated.
Very comfortable and welcoming
The home was clean and the furniture was very comfortable. The towels were thick and clean; the linens and blankets were soft and comfortable. All the dishes, pots/pans and accessories that we needed were available and easily accessed. The tv and sound system were great, which we were very grateful for since we were unable to go out during the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. It is located in a rural area up in the hills, but not far from grocery stores, Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. We didn't realize it until the day after we arrived (we arrived very late at night) that there were people living below us. They had their own entrance and we had no interaction with them. We hope that our walking around on the wood flooring did not disturb them. Thanks, Jeannine, for making our stay in the Asheville area so nice!
