We scouted all sorts of stays in Big Bear as renters ourselves before choosing and then preparing a property of our own to share. This. Is. It.
Location: Quiet Street--just off a main road, but on a peaceful street; View-- Watch Bear Mountain adventurers from the couch, deck or while relaxing in the brand new spa; Proximity-- 3 min drive from Bear Mountain slopes and 6 min from Snow Summit (although, I'd use tram to bus back and forth if using both parks); Natl. Forest-- just around the bend are multiple accesses to the national forest.
Cabin: Updated-- woodsy effect with modern perks; Size-- have space for group to relax together; Layout--area for secluded privacy, yet separate area that is all open for social inclusion, fenced area for dogs and kids to play, and spa with a view of Bear Mountain slopes; Playset-- kids love the swings and climbing area; Cozy-- updated insulation and modern heating keeps it warm thru winter and comfortable in summer, cushy couch is a welcoming feature when you want to relax, and large fireplace with high grade wood provided when avbl for delivery is a cherry on top.
Sleep: You'll get it fast when you lay on the cozy couch or beds. After a day of activity, you'll receive MUCH recuperation on the couch while socializing, playing games, or watching TV and then on the beds when it's time to turn out the lights. Guests constantly compliment the bed comfort.
Cleanliness: Thorough Service-- Our cleaning service is top-notch and frequently complimented for the finite care given for our guests without a hike in cost; clean-clean-CLEAN!!!!
Supplies: Games galore, poker set, toys for boys and girls (even a doll house with all amenities!), swing set, sleds, area for kid and dog play without need of 100% attn., DVD player and VCR with DVDs and videos to choose from, kitchen bakeware, towels, bathroom supplies, extra blankets, washer/dryer, etc.
Our purpose is to completely enjoy a relaxed vacation when we are at our cabin whether it's planned or last minute and we now look forward to you having the same experience.

About David and Deanna Brady
We are a family of a dad, a mom, and four kids (10,8,6,1) who like a break from the world from time to time. We found that available at our cabin in Big Bear Lake. We love everything about it and are happy to share it with you. So whether you're from LA, OC, SD, LV, or Timbuktu, come on over and experience rejuvenation.

Why David and Deanna Brady chose Big Bear Lake
Very quiet street-- cars hardly pass by. Beautiful trees. Fenced yard. Wrapped deck. One story cabin. New heating/AC. Open layout--can be in kitchen or sitting at the table and still take part in conversations, activities, movies/TV, etc. Easy to clean--noticed that even though we could afford renting a big place it was SO MUCH EASIER AND STRESS FREE to be in a smaller 1 story cabin. The last thing you want to do while on vacation is to have to spend a lot of time cleaning up. Clean-up/pick-up is a breeze with this cabin enabling you to enjoy every minute of your break! While it's not large, the layout is wonderful for those who want to tuck away to a quiet bedroom while others are still gathered in living area. Our kids LOVE all the toys, games, and media available at the cabin--no need to bring anything but clothes and food. They love the swinging and climbing available in the yard. The list of 'why this' goes on and on!
What makes this Cabin unique
Beds are COZY! Guests express sleeping better than they'd experienced in years and contact us to ask how. My husband is a connoisseur of comfort and when you are in Big Bear for a break, the biggest reward is a good night's sleep. You'll get that here. It's an enveloping pillow below you and a down alternative blanket over you and all you'll touch are thick yet airy sheets. Free, fast, and dependable wi-fi is another huge thing that's been appreciated by our guests. Fenced in yard? Check. Don't leave your pet with the neighbor or pay $35+ a day for boarding. Bring man's best friend(s) along to enjoy mother-nature. Speaking of nature, up the road is a walk-in entrance to the National forest. A big hit for all ages. Oh, and here's one last 'unique benefit'... We're a cool family, or so they say. ;)

Perfect kid friendly home!
Had a great time this past weekend! The kids enjoyed the stay and had plenty of things to do around the house. Had a little trouble with the cable service but as soon as we were in contact with the owners their answer was prompt and effective (appreciate the service). Defenately a return spot for the family.. Close to the Zoo and Bear mountain.
Great family place
Adorable cabin on a nice quiet street with a great sledding hill. Lots of beds and blankets and towels and a nice fireplace. There were even toys for our little ones - books, cars, barbies etc. There was also a foozball table in the living room which was super fun! We loved the jacuzzi too! It could use a couple more sleds for the future ( we didn't bring our own because we thought there would be some, but there was only one cracked one). Also, the cabin needs a few repairs. One of the hallway doors looked like someone had punched it several times, the kitchen light is very dim and the light over the oven did not work, and the curtain rods kept falling down on us when we opened the sliding door. Despite those minor repairs, we enjoyed the cabin very much!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay while in Big Bear. For us, the fenced yard worked out great for our 3 large dogs. We enjoyed the spacious hot tub each evening after long hikes. Speaking of hikes, we found the one at the end of the road and our dogs really enjoyed getting out in the woods. The cabin was very clean, attractively furnished, and well maintained. The kitchen was a bit small for 5 adults, but we managed. We have rented in Big Bear before, but the Moonridge area was much nicer than other areas we've stayed in. We'd give this property 5 stars!
Great price for a good size house. All 7 of us had a pleasant stay.
Overall, we had no trouble accessing house. Summer days were a bit warm, there's. Ceiling fan in master bedroom, a plug in fan might be useful in the future.
A really cosy cabin, nicely located for access to the main attractions
We visited the property with our son's family (including two infants) and found the cabin and facilities clean and most welcoming. The property is well equipped with the basics and an outdoor hot-tub; the internet speed was truely impressive and the large collection of dolls a great success with our grandaughter!
The location is up the mountain from the centre of town, but it is only a short drive from most of the obvious attractions including not only the Alpine Zoo and ski lifts but also places on the North Shore of the lake, such as the Discovery Centre and very attractive 1.5 mile Woodland Walk.
Compared to expectations the property although among trees is quite closely surrounded by others, and the panelled rooms were smaller and darker than we expected - but this didn't matter during a short stay and would liklely be of little consequence during winter time.
Our main suggestion for improvement would be a cafetierre or similar for making quality coffee.
The perfect cabin!
Our family finally found the perfect cabin! It is absolutely perfect for our family of four and our pets! Absolutely loved the fenced yard with the swing set! The jacuzzi was a huge bonus too! The cabin had everything we needed and more! It was very nice, warm and cozy! And having all the games and Netflix was icing on the cake! We will definitely be back! Thanks so much!
We've made a list of 100 things for you to do while enjoying Big Bear. All include the places to visit, the activities to experience, the games to play, the things to see and so on. But we could have even added more! There is so much you can do... But most find themselves taking it easy and enjoying the cozy rest in the clean and fresh quarters of the cabin, rejuvenating themselves before going back to the fast mainstream world called 'every day life.'
