Wonderful mountain vacation
The property and owners Pam and John were fantastic! Very welcoming and interesting people with great stories to share. The Mountain View can’t be beat. We have 7 and 8 year old kids and they absolutely loved it. It was a vacation that our family will never forget, and I hope our kids bring their kids to this area one day. Although we may be back again before then.
Our Wild West Experience
Thank you for offering such a unique place for us to stay during our Wild West summer vacation. It was just far enough from the bustle of town and parks, and provided a serene setting for our family of four, yet convenient to all the main attractions. We loved hugging the rugged mountain road lined with gorgeous wildflowers leading hip to the cabin, and enjoyed having the comforts of home (laundry, kitchenette, cozy beds, fluffy towels and lots of bright natural light.) We could pack and unpack our rental truck right outside the front door for each day’s excursions to the National Parks (loved using your cooler!) Our children delighted in playing with Blanco, Azul, and Rojo, and we appreciated the advice you both gave us about the local area during our stay. Our bike ride and picnic with Doc was very special too. The soaps made by Pam smelled wonderful and helped keep the mosquitos away. Five stars!
The High Mountain adventure.
Our family had a wonderful time at the high mountain adventure. Pam&John couldn't have been more gracious. If we needed anything they were there to meet our expectations. I definitely would come back again.
Really enjoyed our stay
Fishing the Henry’s Fork had been on my bucket list for years, and it did not disappoint. The weather went from wind advisories to sleet to snow and we loved every minute of it. The fishing was very good.
The home was clean, comfortable and warm with great views. We saw deer, fox and antelope (in the surrounding area). Pam and John were great hosts. Communication was perfect. Beautiful country.
West Yellowstone 2019
We truly enjoyed staying in this cute cabin. It was very clean and had everything we needed! It was so easy to contact Pam/Doc, and they always responded quickly. They take great pride in their properties and make sure to exceed their guests' expectations. The mountains are beautiful, and the views from the top can't be beat! Pam/Doc went out of their way to make sure we had a perfect visit. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone we know visiting West Yellowstone. We would also love to come back ourselves!
Our Mountain-top Experience
Our stay with John and Pam on top of the mountain was incredible. From the cabin we had gorgeous views overlooking Henry's Lake and Sawtell Mountain. We recommend having an SUV or 4-wheel drive. The cabin was beautiful, comfortable, and unique. We had three sets of glass doors looking out over woods and wildlife. The highlight one morning was watching a young moose strolling through the yard watching us while we watched him. It was just a short drive to the West Entrance of Yellowstone. John and Pam had the cabin stocked with lots of little amenities if we wanted to cook in the kitchen or grill on the deck. They were very gracious hosts and recommended restaurants and different scenic drives and hikes.. Visit the Earthquake Visitors Center which was unforgettable. Hike Mesa Falls or just hang out for some R&R. We thank you, John and Pam, for your graciousness and hospitality. We hope to visit again. Rhonda and Charlie
Yellowstone national park is only 12 miles away. The drives in all directions are spectacular.
Each day one is able to choose any of the numerous nearby outdoor activities or picnic in yellowstone national park which is only minutes away. In less than two hours you are able to visit grand targhee ski resort, jackson hole, grand teton national park, st. Anthony's sand dunes, virginia city, or big sky.
Of particular interest are the hundreds of miles of bike and snow mobile trails that begin at your back door and the world class fishing found on henry's lake and the snake river.
