This well-appointed beautiful New Orleans shotgun style home is located on Historic Algiers Point. Algiers Point is a small, pleasant walk-able neighborhood only a half block to the pedestrians ferry that takes you to the foot of Canal Street and all the exciting sites New Orleans has to offer. Harrah's Casino, New Orleans River Walk, Convention Center, French Market, French Quarter, World Famous Bourbon , Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, Central Business District and the Mercedes Super Dome. The beautiful views and ride on the ferry is worth the trip. All the action is just a ferry ride away no worry with parking everything is just a few steps away.

This beautiful home is newly renovated, the interior is modern and up to date, with an open living area. The master bedroom has one queen size bed; Bedroom 2, has two twin beds that can be converted to a king; the 3rd room has a trundle daybed that sleeps two. TV's in every room and free WiFi . This unit sleeps a family of six comfortably. Need more space no problem see our other units listed. It is the perfect home away from home.

Why David chose Algiers

The location is unbeatable!!!! The property is located in a friendly, clean neighborhood with a small town feel in the heart of a big city. Its only 1.5 blocks from the Canal Street Ferry which give you easy access to the trolley that will take you all around the city. Staying here in a nice quiet neighborhood with a small town feel while being a short distance to all the action.

Great location near French Quarter

Very nice property in a quaint, historical neighborhood with easy access to the French Quarter (ferry is 2 blocks away) and enough nearby eateries to keep us well fed when we didn't feel like venturing out of the area. Home is new (or newly remodeled), clean and comfortable. Backyard dining table a big plus for morning coffee or evening meals (we did takeout from the Dry Dock Cafe one evening). Don't be put off by the neighborhoods you pass enroute to this location. Once you arrive, you'll see that the immediate area near the river is wonderfully eclectic. Don't miss Toute de Suite for coffee/tea, breakfast or lunch. A very leisurely stroll from your front porch. I recommend this home for your next New Orleans adventure.

This house is very nice, appears to be newly renovated. Nice neighborhood on Algiers Point. Very short walk to the ferry to the city. Owner is easy to work with, great communication. Will definitely return.

Great place, new remodel, very well done and nicely decorated with everything you could need!

We would stay at David's again in a heartbeat. Easy to walk to bars, eats, cafe, and Ferry (though the ferry was very unreliable, out of commission the 3 days we were there). Major (our driver) was a great resource, fun, knowledgeable, friendly, and much needed due to no Ferry and rain! Thanks again for the "Cracklins" Major! Not real pleased with the cleaning lady suggesting we let a stray cat into the house when she is the one that leaves the door open. Can't go wrong booking this place on your next stay!

Better Than Expected

Came down to put on my bachelor party, once we open the doors to the home it was better than expected. The pictures do not do the home justice at all. My friends kept talking about how nice the place look. I only experience one issue which was with the personal driver whom did not pick up my phone calls on the second night at the property and we spent an hour looking for a cab ride. I must say that it was 1AM and during MardiGras season so the driver must have been busy. Other than that it was a Great Stay and will definitely stay again.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for being our guest, and enjoying the beauty and uniqueness of our vacation rental. I apologize for the inconveniences with the personal driver. Mardi Grad night Mr. Major became very ill and required emergency medical attention. He is a very reliable driver and usually go out of his way to accommodate guests anytime of day or night, as he did "for you guys" in the wee hours of the morning before. Next time we'll have a contingency plan in place. Thanks Again for helping us to improve our service!!!

Loved It!

What a wonderful place! My family and I just returned from a one week stay and we couldn't be more pleased. Very luxurious, super clean, safe, spacious, and in the best location. Lots of extra linens, fully equipped kitchen, and very comfortable beds. We especially enjoyed sitting out back under the trees drinking coffee and enjoying the weather. So peaceful.

We were able to park our car right outside the house and walk everywhere we wanted to go. The ferry is very close and for just $2.00 it takes you right to the French Quarter. Such easy access to all the sights and experiences of New Orleans. Loved the river walk.

We look forward to many more visits in this beautiful city and home. Thank you, David, for be so easy to work with and anticipating our every need.
