This stilt home is near Mile Marker 23. It is 20 miles to Key West and about 25 miles from Marathon. We are in the quieter Lower Keys with good local restaurants and bars. We have a marina on the water a few canals away with ice, snacks and very competitively-priced ethanol-free marine gas for easy access on your way offshore. We are located on the ocean side with very quick access to Atlantic Ocean and bayside waters. The home is 1240 sq ft with ceramic tile throughout. The master bedroom has a king size bed and bath. The second bedroom has a queen size bed. The third bedroom has twin Murphy beds. The sleeper sofa that can sleep two more. The laundry room is upstairs. We have an open concept dining room, living room, breakfast bar and kitchen. Dish TV programming and WiFi are provided. A DVD player and library of over 40 movies is also provided. We also have a large selection of books for the reader. The house has ceiling fans in almost every room. Downstairs, beneath the house, we have a new 297 sq ft storage room, outside shower, gas grill, new bar with 4 stools, table with 6 chairs, porch swing, two kayaks, three bicycles, live bait pen, pinfish trap so you can catch your own bait, bait freezer and second fridge. The 75 ft seawall has mooring whips for two boats, a fish cleaning table, dock lights, power and water at the seawall for boat cleaning. There is a rod/reel washing station at the dock with rod/reel racks in the new downstairs storage. Recent upgrades include new concrete columns, new downstairs enclosure, new porch ceiling, outside shower, new central A/C, new plumbing and electric service upgrades. We have plenty of parking for multiple vehicles and boat trailers. The kitchen has utensils, serving ware, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher.
We are from Florida but now live in Texas until we retire to the Keys. We have been visiting the Keys since 1972. We have stayed everywhere in the Keys but wanted to retire in the Lower Keys.

This is our second home and not an investment property. We have been making upgrades since we bought it four years ago and are now advertising it as a vacation place. We plan to make upgrades each year. We would like you to feel like our guests. We care what you think. We want you to feel like it is your vacation home as well while you sit under the coconut palms relaxing in the breeze. We have great, friendly neighbors as well. The street is a quiet cul-de-sac.
Had a great time again this year at this fantastic home in the Lower Keys (see my review from last year for more details). Plenty of room for our parents, kids and grandson to come and visit. We were pleasantly surprised by some new updates and additions to the home (although it was already perfect for us in the first place). This home is conveniently located between Big Pine Key, where you can pick up groceries at Winn-Dixie, and Key West. It's been a pleasure renting from the owners, can't recommend this home highly enough!
What a lovely home in the Lower Keys, our favorite part of Florida. It was just perfect for my husband and me, plus family and friends who came to visit. It's in a quiet, friendly neighborhood, with easy access on/off the highway and a short drive to Key West and Bahia Honda State Park. Grocery stores, gas stations, bait shops and great restaurants are close by, plus a spa and a hair/nail salon just down the street. The home is VERY clean, comfortable and roomy with vaulted ceilings, tile floors, and a beautiful Florida Keys decor. Plenty of supplies are on hand, plus a fully stocked, large kitchen. The home had everything we needed....plus more! The large, shady porch below the house is such a bonus, a great place to hang out day and night, especially those days when you want to get out of the direct sun for awhile but still want to be outdoors. It has bar seating, a large table and chairs, porch swing, hammock chair, and plenty of lighting for evenings. We really appreciated having the use of kayaks and bicycles (there's miles of bike trails right from the house). And we LOVED being on a clean, deep-water canal, where we could keep our boat for quick and easy access to the Atlantic or Gulf for some of the best fishing we've ever experienced and amazing snorkeling at Looe Key! The canal is also fun for swimming and floating around in. This place has everything for the serious fisherman, including a chest freezer for bait and a fantastic fish cleaning station with fresh water and lighting for nighttime. The owners are so cordial and made us feel right at home, and they were quick to respond to any questions we had along the way. We enjoyed our stay so much that we've already made our reservation for next year!
We just returned from our trip to the “keys”. Our experience with this vacation home really showed how much attention the owners personally give their property. The outside updates are wonderful and nicely done. The inside has a well stocked kitchen with all the necessities. The bedding was comfortable and neat with freshly painted walls. The owners were attentive and easy to communicate with not only before arriving but during our visit. Great walking and biking area. Within 30 minutes of Key West. We felt welcomed by the neighbors and hope to return as often as possible! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
This house has everything. Very nicely furnished. Owner is very easy to reach with any questions. The neighbors are Super to say the least. I will be staying there again soon.
I've rented from many different relators on several other key islands. Here you will find Honest and Caring renters. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy. Kind and helpful neighbors. To many extras to list. Within driving distance to all that the Keys have to offer. Easy boating to Gulf or Ocean for the best fishing in the world. Kitchen is top notch. No mechanical problems. Just book your rental and prepare get the KEYS DISEASE!
My family and I have been staying here for several years and couldn't ask for a better experience. The house is always clean and has been upgraded every year. Location is great, quick access to the ocean or the gulf, marina with fuel nearby and quite a few good restaurants in the area. Its a short drive to Key West but located in a quiet neighborhood with great neighbors. Boat dockage is good along with fish cleaning table. Recommended to anyone looking for a boating friendly place in the Lower Keys.
Only 23 miles to Key West! Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary is only about 6 miles by boat. It is a top notch snorkel and dive site!
Nearest boat ramps are Cudjoe Gardens Marina 477 Drost Drive, Cudjoe Key 305-745-2352 and Sugarloaf KOA Campground 305-745-3549. For others, go to google "boat ramps 33042". Nearest Marina for gas and ice is Venture Out Marina a couple of canals away. They have competitve prices on 90 octane ethanol-free unleaded marine gas.

We are zoned 28 day rental minimum. No weekly rentals allowed. Our minimum rental period is one month, so some months are 30 days and some are 31 (Feb=28 days). Any days beyond a month will be pro-rated. Contract and terms available for review at request.
