Our home is just outside Victoria, conveniently located between Victoria and Sidney, and close to the Victoria International Airport, BC Ferries at Swartz Bay and Washington State Ferries to Anacortes, Washington. We are on a peninsula which is semi-rural, in the midst of farmland, small villages, beaches and mountains. We are surrounded by lush flower gardens and hummingbirds almost year round. Fresh fruit and produce are plentiful from many gardens.
The suite is self-contained on one full level of our home and includes a comfortable queen bedroom, new bathroom with all toiletries provided, kitchen/dining room equipped with all cooking supplies to meet your cooking needs plus coffee pot and coffee a large living/TV room with cable TV and WIFI. A barbecue grill is available as well.
New tennis courts with lights for evening play are two doors down, plus playground and forest hiking trails are just down the street. Bus stops are just across the street which connect us to all Victoria and area destinations in minutes, so a car is not a true necessity. If driving, Butchart Gardens is 5 minutes away, the airport and Sidney (with Washington State Ferries to Anacortes Washington) 10 minutes, BC Ferries at Swartz Bay 15 minutes and Victoria 20 minutes to downtown. Mountain trails and beaches on both sides of the peninsula are 5 to 10 minutes. Bike paths are accessible which connect us easily to both Sidney and Victoria.
The best kayaking is available just 5 minutes away in Brentwood Bay on Saanich Inlet and Todd Inlet, where you'll likely find starfish just under the surface, also a destination scuba spot nearby.
Panorama Recreation Center is 5 minutes away for everything from hockey, gym and racquet sports to pools and waterslides.
The suite has a private entrance with only two steps to access it. However it is wheelchair accessible through a garage with no steps.
We welcome you to our home and know that you will be comfortable here.
Originally from Georgia in the southern U.S., we relocated to Canada 35 years ago and settled in Victoria to raise our children
and are now retired.
Frankie Boswell (Mrs) purchased this house in 2001
We lived in the city of Victoria but with a dream to move to the more rural area which is the Saanich Peninsula where farms, horses, and gardens are a big focus. Life is nice and easy here and our children were free to run. We love the pace of life here and the small town feel.
Our home is comfortable and homey and we love to keep it filled with fresh flowers and great food.
Spacious, warm and lovely garden view out the living room. After a busy day on the go this is a nice place to come home to. Would stay again. There is a must smell in the entry area that needs to be dealt with is my only complaint. Bed was good.
The suite was in a perfect location close to parks and walking trails. The owner was very pleasant friendly and helpful. The property was immaculate with edible fruits and vegetables that we could indulge in. The added treats provided were well received and enjoyed. It had everything we needed for a great stay. Would highly recommend as we ourselves are planning to return again
Our daughter picked this out for us and we are sure happy she did!! It was a very well equipped if you choose to make your own meals, super, super clean, quiet, comfy bed and surprisingly spacious. Frankie, our hostess, was extremely kind-hearted and welcomed us with open arms and made us feel more like family than strangers, but at the same time, always respecting our privacy. We felt right at home when we opened the door and to our amazement we received an arrival gift of freshly homemade heavenly bread! Thank you, we will always cherish our brief encounter.
Had a wonderful stay in June. Frankie was an incredible host. The suite was clean, quiet & comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful garden, great location.
I rented this suite for my Grandma and Aunt and they were very pleased with it. The owner (who lives above) is very personable and accommodating. My Grandma is 93 and has mobility issues, and she was offered a "no step" path into the suite. We would definitely rent this place again.
