Enjoy the convenience of being close to everything! Park your car, you don't need it. Enjoy the world famous husk restaurant (our neighbor) or take a short stroll to battery park. We are located in the heart of the attractions with countless shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and tourist sites within walking distance... Real walking distance, not miles, but blocks. Our home is centrally located in the historic district very close to intersection of queen st. And king st. Which puts you in the middle of the action. Want to go further? Hop on the provided bikes and access the distant reaches of the city. It's all close.

I don't mind admitting it, we are spoiled. When we escape to our home in charleston, we want the best! We insisted on high quality linens and super comfortable mattresses. I trust you will find everything in the house to be brand new and of high quality, because it is. Enjoy our oasis and spoil yourself!

You will not be disappointed!

About Fiske Hopkins

Fiske and Katie Hopkins along with our two young girls. We love to visit Charleston every opportunity we have.

Fiske Hopkins purchased this house in 2014

Why Fiske Hopkins chose Charleston

We love Charleston. It's so exciting! We like the idea of parking our car and using our two feet to get everywhere we need. We love the history of our home and the immediate area. From the local farmers market on Saturday mornings with our family to the evening strolls and fine dining at night Charleston is truly full of charm!

What makes this house unique

Location, location, location. The oldest grocery in charleston, queen st. Grocery, is located across the street. Wake up and grab a cup of fresh coffee or stop in for the cuban at lunch. We are less than 2 blocks away from the infamous husk restaurant. Here, we are a short walking distance to everywhere you want to be.

Great location and super clean!

  • 5 of 5

We we so happy to stay at this property. Everything was spotlessly clean. I was so happy to see fresh sponges, kitchen towels, quality cleaning supplies and toiletries.....it's the little things that make the difference between a good property and a great property. The mattress was super comfy. We had no trouble sleeping. Traffic noise was minor. The location is so close to Kings Street. We love food and great restaurants are a quick walk away. Our favorites were (in order), Raw 167, Le Farfalle, The Macintosh, Cru Cafe, Husk and Minero. Also, for breakfast Queen Street grocery is right across the street. They have delicious crepes and omlettes. We ate there the first morning and did carry out the other days. So convenient. The location is so close to many of the gorgeous homes south of Broad Street so we took a pedicab tour of the area. What a fantastic way to see Charleston!

Cute house in historic district. Walking distance to downtown area.

  • 4 of 5

Great place to stay if you're wanting to explore downtown area. In walking distance to many fine restaurants and bars (King st and Meeting Place). House had nice updated features and was plenty cool during hottest week of the year! Washer dryer unit was great to have as well. A bit noisy since house is limited to single pane Windows due to city mandated preservation of historic houses but owners provided a white noise machine that helped. Unit also has bicycles available if you're adventurous enough to brave traffic in slightly bike unfriendly city. Overall a great place to stay.

This spot was perfect to enjoy downtown Charleston!!

  • 5 of 5

Our young family with toddler twins needed a place to stay in downtown Charleston for several nights for a family wedding and this was the perfect choice!! We knew we would be traveling all over the city for specific events but would have downtime in the mornings - so we wanted to be central to all the good places! We walked to most anything downtown: the house is located on Queen street which intersects with King Street a few blocks away. King Street is where all the main shopping and bars are located so we could walk even in HOT July it was better than getting in a hot car! Walking to the water front pier in the battery or to the market was only a couple more blocks past King's street and with the twins it was so nice to just get in the stroller for early morning site seeing before the city woke.

We also loved the property, it is a historic house that has been newly renovated and as a renovation junkies we really loved trying to figure out what the old house was used for in the past and how it had been converted. There is a historic plaque out front that tells you what the house was but I let you discover it for yourselves! The finishes and furnishings were really nice and comfortable. The house keeper even checked in on us when we arrived to make sure we had what we needed. The only draw back to staying here, for us with kids, is that there isn't a tub, only a shower BUT there is a huge kitchen sink that sits in front of a huge window and over looks the horse carriage tours that come by the house...so our 15 month toddlers loved taking a bath in the sink and watching the horses ride by the house. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Charleston!

Winner!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for our first visit to Charleston. The instructions sent ahead of time were very helpful and the house was 100% ready to go when we arrived. The house was clean and there were ample clean towels provided and the sheets were nice and soft. Having the laundry available for use in the house was also a very nice perk. During our stay the weather was extremely HOT so having the Nest AC system was a lifesaver. This location was excellent and we did not bother renting a car after reading previous reviews. We walked all over downtown with ease and when you're done for the day, the house is just far enough off the main path that you feel like you get some quiet and privacy, while still being minutes away from all the action. The spot across the street, Queen Street Grocery, was awesome for breakfast and sandwiches and the people working there are very friendly. Overall our experience was great and would definitely stay here again if we come back to Charleston. Highly recommend!

Perfect location for your Charleston getaway...

  • 5 of 5

We celebrated our anniversary with a 4 night stay in this first floor apartment in the heart of Charleston. The unit was bright and inviting and very clean. Well equipped with a full kitchen and a comfortable king size bed, it was just what we were looking for. The reserved spot for this unit is maybe 10 sreps from the door. If seeing the convenience, eating well, and being immersed in the history of Charleston is what you are looking for - this is the place!

Awesome Queen Street house.

  • 5 of 5

Awesome property on Queen Street in the heart of everything. I parked the car and never needed it again for 6 days. House was well stocked and clean. We sat on the porch with a glass of wine and watched the carriage tours come by on the half hour. This property had one of the few grassy yards In the historic district so it is perfect if you're traveling with four legged family. I will definitely return to this property if I come back to Charleston. FIVE STARS.
