Enjoy the convenience of being close to everything! Park your car, you don't need it. Enjoy the world famous husk restaurant (our neighbor) or take a short stroll to battery park. We are located in the heart of the attractions with countless shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and tourist sites within walking distance... Real walking distance, not miles, but blocks. Our home is centrally located in the historic district very close to intersection of queen st. And king st. Which puts you in the middle of the action. Want to go further? Hop on the provided bikes and access the distant reaches of the city. It's all close.

I don't mind admitting it, we are spoiled. When we escape to our home in charleston, we want the best! We insisted on high quality linens and super comfortable mattresses. I trust you will find everything in the house to be brand new and of high quality, because it is. Enjoy our oasis and spoil yourself!

You will not be disappointed!

About Fiske Hopkins

Fiske and Katie Hopkins along with our two young girls. We love to visit Charleston every opportunity we have.

Fiske Hopkins purchased this house in 2014

Why Fiske Hopkins chose Charleston

We love Charleston. It's so exciting! We like the idea of parking our car and using our two feet to get everywhere we need. We love the history of our home and the immediate area. From the local farmers market on Saturday mornings with our family to the evening strolls and fine dining at night Charleston is truly full of charm!

What makes this house unique

Location, location, location. The oldest grocery in charleston, queen st. Grocery, is located across the street. Wake up and grab a cup of fresh coffee or stop in for the cuban at lunch. We are less than 2 blocks away from the infamous husk restaurant. Here, we are a short walking distance to everywhere you want to be.

We had a wonderful time for a weekend trip. The location was nestled in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping on Kings Street and many of the sites in historic Charleston. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean but the front porch was a special bonus for enjoying the easy pace and friendly atmosphere of Charleston. The bathroom lacked adequate counter space, but every other aspect was perfect. Would certainly do it again.

Was a nice stay but....

  • 3 of 5

The house and property were clean. Amazing bed and bed spread. The location to everything you need to see and do were probably the best part of our stay. The problems we encountered were the close proximity to the road, the noise of the traffic, and the speed at which the traffic moved. It seemed the traffic never stopped at all. We have a small child and dog and it was very scary at times walking near the house. None of this is a knock on the house or it's owners it's just something we didn't expect going to a historic down town area.

Owner's Response: Shane, I am very sorry you were uncomfortable with the traffic and road noise. As a dad, I know it can be especially bothersome when you have infant or small child napping. Our home is downtown. With that comes the hustle and bustle of downtown activity. Most find it a small price to pay to be in a Prime location that is walking distance to all the attractions. I am glad you guys enjoyed all other aspects of the house and found everything to be quite comfortable. Thanks, Fiske

Beautiful apartment. Excellent location. Well managed experience.

  • 5 of 5

This historic home, converted to a multi unit, is perfect! The accommodations are very comfortable, beautiful and so convenient! A 5 min walk to the historic district and a 15 min walk to the downtown area. The Queen St grocery is right across the street. My dog and I walked over every morning for a pastry and coffee. Great sandwiches too. I can't say enough nice things about this home!

Location, Quaint, Romantic

  • 5 of 5

We loved this apartment home. The location is perfect! We parked our car on Sunday and didn't need again until Wednesday. I love the quaint and romantic character of this old home and the historic area it surrounds. We enjoyed sitting on porch watching people walking, jogging, or biking by, as well as the frequent carriage rides passing by. Perfect with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. We walked over to Queen Street Grocery across street for sandwiches for lunch our first day. The first night it took a little time getting used to the noise from cars passing by. The sound machine provided helped. Noise is to be expected in a downtown residential area so no complaints. The only thing I'd suggest in the apartment would be a full length mirror. I will stay here again!!!!

Wonderful stay in Charleston

  • 5 of 5

We are leaving tomorrow after our week stay on Queen street. The location is perfect and the place meets any needs one might have. The bed is probably the most comfortable one I have ever slept in on vacation. Kudos to the Hopkins on having a great place to vacation in Charleston !!
