3 bedrooms-3 bathrooms. Master bedroom has a queen size bed,his and her closets, and an en suite bathroom with separate shower and soak-er tub. Bedroom #2 has a full size bed with closet. Bedroom #3 has a queen and twin size bed with a closet. Bathroom #2 has a shower tub combo with a linen closet. Bathroom #3 has a shower stall.There is a main level washer & dryer. The kitchen has a open floor plan with newer appliances, there is a breakfast bar and eat in kitchen. Our great room has a flat screen TV on the mantle above the wood burning fireplace, there is a sectional suede couch that pulls out into a queen size sleeper, and a formal dining room. We have a side porch with a swing. Patio furniture for the back yard. We have a gas grill and a green egg charcoal grill. There is a recreation room in the basement along with a office space.

About The Owner

I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI. I am married and have three daughters. We now reside in Chicago, IL but love the west Michigan lake shore. My wife, Mary, and I have our own little business in Chicago Southern Suburbs.

Why The Owner chose Grand Haven

Growing up we always spent summers along the coast of Lake Michigan between Holland and Grand Haven. The beaches are beautiful and the people are friendly. We are conveniently located to all amenities and love the west Michigan Sunsets and beaches....None Better. We are so blessed to have a home in Grand Haven and want to share it with others.

What makes this house unique

Our house is reminiscent of a Norman Rockwell community. It is on a quiet cul-de-sac street and in close proximity to water, shops and restaurants.

Spacious and convenient Grand Haven area rental

This home worked out great for our family vacation to the Grand Haven area. The home had enough beds and baths to easily accommodate our group of 5 adults and 2 children. The beach access down the street was not appropriate for taking small kids (there wasn't enough beach for chairs etc.), but it was nice to see on a walk. We enjoyed the Kirk Park beach that was quiet and a short drive away. Doug was very friendly and accommodating and we appreciated being able to bring along our dog on vacation. The house lacked nothing but could use some updating/deep cleaning. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet with easy access to the bike path.

Had a good time in Michigan

Property was just the right size for our party of 6 adults and four children. Since we were going both North and South for activities, the location suited us well. Owner was very assessable and helpful.

Enjoyed our stay

The house worked out great for my family. We were attending a wedding, so we were there for a few extra days and it was nice to have some space. I would suggest describing the sleeping arrangements more clearly. We did not realize that the room in the lower level (the office) actually had a bed and therefore was really another bedroom-offering privacy. (We could have had another couple stay with us and decrease the cost!) The place was clean, but there were some broken knickknacks on shelves that I think could be removed just for appearance.

Family vacation center

This large home is great for large or extended families. Lots of sleeping areas, large kitchen, lots of rooms to spread out in. Doug is very accommodating. There were a few small things that needed maintenance. It's in a quiet area, and a short drive to the towns beaches.

WOW! This property exceeded our expectations; it was Huge and had everything we needed!!

I have a very large family so it is challenging to find a property that can accommodate us all, and comfortably, but this was the perfect place! With this being a tri-level house, there was space galore! The bedrooms were large, with extra beds, so there was no shortage of sleeping spaces. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with all that we needed in the way of pots, pans and utensils, and the bathrooms were clean and fully stocked with clean towels and linens. Doug, the owner was fabulous!! Upon our arrival, he greeted us and took us on a thorough walkthrough of the property so we would know of all the amenities. He even gave us tips and pointers on some of the happenings in the local areas. We loved that there was a nearby beach a few blocks away,..it provided inspiration for us to get in some morning exercise! The basketball hoop was great for our energetic kids, and it also provided some entertainment for the adults! I cannot say enough good things about this property, or about Doug! Our trip was incredible and we would definitely stay here again! A few helpful tips to assist you in enjoying your stay:

Tips:

*Bring a basketball

*Stop by the nearby Walmart and/or Meijer and buy food for the kitchen

*Check the kitchen and cupboards before shopping; Doug has much of what you will need

*Bring your own beachtowels

*Visit the beach but be aware that there is a small incline along the sand path on the way back to the residence, so flip flops are not recommended

*Bring an umbrella if rain is in the forecast

*Eat at a nearby restaurant called "The Stable,".. (about 2 miles away), it has great food and salad bar that includes delicious buffalo wings and homemade soups. Friday's are all you can eat fish; it's tasty and fresh!

*Familiarize yourself with the Michigan U-turn before arriving, (just trust me on this, lol)

*Be aware that the road leading back to the property is somewhat dark at night and the turn can kind of sneak up on you, so drive slow or you'll miss it

*Call Doug with any questions and concerns, he is super informative and friendly and will respond in a timely manner

You will enjoy this property and you won't be disappointed in your stay!

Great home for multi-generational holiday time

This home was as described and provided a wonderful opportunity for an extended family holiday for multi-generational family members with a wide range of ages from multiple states. Doug was always receptive to phone calls when issues arose or questions needed answering. He even was able to provide a Christmas tree stand for our use. The multiple bedrooms, living area and downstairs family rooms as well as the spacious kitchen provided many delightful times together. The location near a number of sledding areas provided great opportunities for the children to have a blast burning off energy and enjoying each other. The only concern we had was that there could have been more attention paid to cleanliness and maintenance. One obviously broken item was pointed out to us but others were discovered only when they were used. In fairness to Doug, these were not obvious and perhaps had happened with other renters and Doug may not have been aware they were broken.

Two blocks to a public access beach. 5 miles south of Grand Haven, MI. 12 miles north of Holland, MI. 35 miles west of Grand Rapids, MI. Enjoy the great restaurants and night life in Downtown Grand Haven or just kick back and relax on the beach or take a walk on the boardwalk then finish up with the World Renowned Musical Fountain. Don't forget the golf clubs and your tennis racket. Property is one mile south of Grand Haven Golf Club. 4th of July and Coast Guard Festival offer spectacular fireworks and parades. Coast Guard has daily events on the channel with a carnival to celebrate 'Coast Guard City USA'! Enjoy the offerings of the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds.
