Fabulous location!

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay at Dover Cottage Guest House. It was charming and

very comfortable for two people. We especially enjoyed the screened

porch and spent as much time there as possible.

The location can't be beat. You really don't even need a car.

We'll be back!

Old Naples at its best!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We cannot express how accommodating Greg was during our visit to the Dover cottage compound. This is old Naples at its best. It is within walking distance of the beach and the Naples Pier as well as all of the restaurants and shopping on 3rd st. If you want to experience the real Old Naples lifestyle you cant go wrong with either of Gregs properties. He has thought of every detail down to the soaps and toiletries provided. The home also provides several books that outline the history of Old Naples and how The Dover Cottage evolved. You can always tell when an owner is proud of their property by the detail exhibited. We are all fortunate that Greg is willing to share this gem with the world. Thanks again Greg .

Cozy and quaint in Historic Distric

  • 5 of 5

This location is perfect for those wanting to explore the Naples Historic District by foot or bike. The shops and restaurants of Third Street South are only a block away, and Fifth Street is an easy stroll. The neighborhoods are easily navigated by foot or bike, and the beach is only a few blocks away. The cottage is well appointed, and very comfortable. There is a galley kitchen, although the only appliance we used was the coffee maker, with so many dining options so close by! This is a wonderful well appointed cottage in the heart of Naples.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

We (2 children & my dad) stayed here for the weekend and it was perfect. The cottage is only 3 blocks from the beach and the bikes are perfect for the short ride. There is a small park directly across from the cottage and there are many restaurants and shops within walking distance (less than a mile).

One thing that I wish I would have known before visiting is that there is only one outlet (Greg please correct me if I'm wrong) that accommodates a plug with three prongs, all other outlets are only two.

Overall, great place and would definitely stay again!

Great little guest house!

  • 5 of 5

Dover Guest House is a delightful spot in a perfect location, close to shops and the beach. It is located behind a main property, the Dover Cottage, also on VRBO/HomeAway: There is a shared yard, grill and bikes. Although the guesthouse is small, it had all the essentials ( coffee pot, tea kettle, fridge, basic dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc.) It is simple living with a nice small screened in porch/lanai, a living area with comfortable furnishings, a clean and updated bathroom with glass shower stall, a tight and tiny galley kitchen with counter and barstools and a bedroom with two twin beds and a washer/dryer. We were most impressed with the responsiveness of the property manger, Greg, who was quick with responses via e-mail and gracious in accommodating our requests and concerns. We have used VRBO since 2004 and this has been one of our best experiences.
