Crown Point is part of Pacific Beach (PB) but unlike PB that is more college aged orientation Crown Point is very family orientated.

Crown Point is located on the peninsula surrounded by Mission Bay on the East and Sail Bay on the west.

This is a great neighborhood for active adults and children with a variety of beaches, parks and boardwalks steps from the property. Six beach cruisers are on site for the many bike trails along with six beach chairs, a beach blanket, towels and games for your use!

The corner property includes a large private deck with a west facing view to enjoy sunsets with heaters and BBQ.

Several small shops and restaurants are 2 blocks away.

The owner of the property lived in the town home for 10 years and 4 years ago purchased a house 2 blocks down the street which he still occupies.

Pets are allowed as long as they are not aggressive or disruptive . There is a very small outside yard adjacent to the kitchen for pets to use.

No smoking is allowed on the property.

Cable internet is available along with TV. The kitchen has the usual appliances with the exception of a dishwasher. Coin operated laundry machines are onsite and laundry detergent is provided.

Overall it was good

After reading the first part please continue to the end. When we arrived, it said to text owner for door code on lock box. We text and 30 min later nothing, text again and nothing , so we called and now it's an hour and half which turned into 1 1/2 hrs. We called Home away and they were very kind and were trying to assist. We had unloaded car all our stuff and is sitting outside. Home away was able to find a code and we had hoped it worked. It did!! Finally we can quit stressing after a 6 1/2 hr drive. After 7 hours the owner finally text back and all it said was sorry just got off plane and a code. Really!!!! 7 hrs!! The house itself was nice, they had plenty of amenities for the renters use and that was nice. We Loved the patio! Another part that was not good is on the weekend good luck finding parking, one night had to park a mile and 1/2 away from the house. Not fun. So if you rent from the owner it's a nice place just get the code from the start so your vacation doesn't start out stressful like ours did.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately since we accommodated your early checkin the VRBO automated email was not sent until the scheduled checkin time at 4pm. I was on a six hour flight to HNL and responded when I landed. We do always suggest requesting the lockbox code prior to arriving at the unit. Thank you!

Great location, clean, and well maintained home for a getaway

Our family of four visited San Diego for a week to visit friends. This home was small, but cozy and perfect for our family. It is a very short walk to a beach and playground, and the home is close to Trader Joe's, and restaurants on Garnet and Mission Blvd. It is also centrally located for easy access to the zoo, safari park, sea world, legoland, old town, and the gas lamp, all easily reached by car. Beach chairs, cruiser bikes, and beach towels are all provided. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip out! Thank you!

Amazing location. Has all the amenities.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was conveniently located to everything. Just one block to the beach. Having access to the beach cruiser bikes was a huge plus. Even though we didn't have beach weather we rode the bikes on the boardwalk every morning. Just 15 minutes to La Jolla, downtown San Diego, the zoo, etc. The house had everything we needed so we went to the Trader Joe's down the street and cooked in a lot to save money. The only issue we had was with the wifi. We could only access it about half the time since the router is located in a different apartment. It wasn't a huge issue for us since we were on vacation and enjoying the time unplugged. The owner Brian was very responsive the whole time in trying to remedy it. He was also great for answering questions about the area.

Great location ... great for kids, too!

Comfortable & relaxing rental. All the necessary amenities were there, that made our stay beach visits hassle-free. The beds were big enough to fit our 3 kids into one, and me/my wife on the other. Location wise, as others say ... can't ask for more ... close to the beach & family attractions like Mission Bay / Sea World.

Minor hiccups with wifi setup. Agree to others on the points on parking availability. If you're visiting first Wednesday or Thursday of each month, really watch out for the street sweeping schedule signs!!

Overall, really enjoyed it ... would recommend to others and would want to visit again, if I get a chance.
