Located just two blocks South of Main Street in Bozeman’s lively downtown, Bon Ton House guests enjoy the convenience of an easy walk to many local restaurants and shops.

Subdivided into three fully furnished and independently accessible apartment units, the Bon Ton House offers accommodations for large groups who want to share a rental while still maintaining personal space.

THIS LISTING IS FOR THE ENTIRE BON TON HOUSE (UNITS A & B & C)

Unit A - 3 bedroom, 1 bath, 1 kitchen. Located on the second floor.
Two bedrooms with Queen beds, one bedroom with a Full bed.

Unit B - 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 1 kitchen. Located on the first floor.
One bedroom with a Queen bed, one bedroom with a Full bed.

Unit C - 1 bedroom, 1 bath, 1 kitchen. Located on the first floor.
One bedroom with a Full bed.

BEDROOMS:
All of the bedrooms are equipped with an oscillating fan for those who like to sleep with white noise. In each bedroom you'll find an alarm clock, tissues, luggage racks, and table lamps with power outlets for your electronic devices.

KITCHENS:
The newly renovated kitchens in each apartment have new stainless steel appliances and are stocked with all the basics (dish soap, paper towels, aluminum foil, saran wrap, salt, pepper, olive oil, white wine vinegar, tea, coffee filters, coffee beans, sugar, creamer, toaster, coffee grinder, coffee maker).

BATHROOMS:
The newly renovated bathrooms in each apartment feature a shower, sink, and commode. Fresh towels, makeup removing wipes, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and a hairdryer are provided.

LIVING ROOMS:
Each living room features an electric fireplace and a flatscreen TV hooked up to local channels and Netflix.
Note: The living room and bedroom in Unit C are combined.

OCCUPANCY:
Maximum occupancy at this property is 12.

SAFETY/HEALTH:
Each unit is equipped with smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector. A fire extinguisher is located below each kitchen sink.

CHILDREN:
Warning. This home is not child-proof. There are choking hazards, falling hazards, and potentially harmful household products located within reach of children.

HISTORICAL CHARM AND MODERN AMENITIES
In 1883 the editor Bozeman’s Avant Courier newspaper announced that the newly built upscale neighborhood South of Main Street was quickly becoming a “Bon Ton residence street” (Bon Ton meaning fashionable or sophisticated). Today this section of town is known as the Bon Ton Historic district and is still Bozeman’s most grand and beloved neighborhood. Built in 1880, the Bon Ton House is one of the original homes in this cherished district that sits just steps away from the heart of downtown Bozeman.

Brought back to life by intensive renovations in 2014, the house offers fresh and clean accommodations while still retaining its historical charm. Hot water radiators, glass doorknobs and original hardwood floors give guests a taste of old Bozeman.

With a large, newly landscaped backyard, guests can relax under the shade of a large Maple tree, have a meal at the picnic table, or enjoy a small fire at the fire ring. Wifi is always provided and an off-street parking pad is accessible from the alley. Guests may use the new laundry room at the back of the house where detergent is provided.

The Bon Ton House, rich with history, offers guests a peaceful and restorative home base to explore Downtown Bozeman and the surrounding area.

About the owner: Hi, we are Lynwood and Mariana. We love to create beautiful and efficient spaces in unique places.

Why the Owner Chose Bozeman, MT, USA:
When we bought the house in 2012, it had been run into the ground as a neglected long-term rental. Even in its dilapidated state, the house still had a wonderful feel and we knew that if we didn't bring it back from the brink it might be lost forever. Working intensely for over a year, with the help of friends and family, we renovated and refreshed every square inch of the property. It was important to us that we retain the charming 19th century feel of the home so we saved the original windows, trim, interior doors, glass doorknobs, hot water radiatiors, and hardwood flooring. With new fixtures and furnishings, the Bon Ton House is the perfect combination of historical charm and modern comfort. Possibly the oldest and largest Norway Maple tree in Gallatin Valley stands as the cornerstone of the backyard. Under the shade of this amazing tree, we installed flagstone walkways through a beautiful green lawn and natural stone patios featuring a large picnic table and fire ring with firewood provided free for guests. After restoring both the house and yard, we furnished each of the three apartments with hand-picked decor and stocked each unit with all the luxuries you would expect from a high-end vacation rental. We make it our goal to ensure a pleasant stay for all guests at this beautiful and charming piece of Montana history.

Being just two blocks from Main Street means that guests can stroll down the street and be right in the heart of Bozeman's amazing downtown. The Downtown Bozeman Association is active in ensuring that this part of the city remains the heartbeat of Bozeman. Their motto "Life is Downtown" couldn't be more spot on.
