The Quiet Dome is located on 11 private acres of mature forest that is minutes away from first class restaurants in Grass Valley, Colefax, and Nevada City. The dome itself is a passively heated and cooled monolithic dome that was specifically designed with an extremely low electromagnetic signature for the relaxed feeling of a camping trip but all the conveniences of urban life.
Local restaurants often use locally grown organic produce. Historic Colfax, Grass Valley, and Nevada City offer distinctive shopping, a colorful historic past, and a nearly endless supply of festivals, celebrations, and fairs. The dome is also close to endless miles of hiking trails, waterfalls, and high mountain lakes.

About Rob States
Rob and Abigail built the dome as a healing spa for people who are sick from Wi-Fi, cell towers, and chemicals. Rob (an MIT graduate) engineered the dome. He designed it with all the comforts of urban life, but a dramatically lowered EMF footprint for people to recover from electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EMH). We want to show the real estate community that low EMF SELLS! They have the power to clean shopping malls, apartments, and houses across the country, if we show them it is profitable. Dr. Sam Milham's book Dirty Electricity shows that electrification of the US from 1920 through 1950 caused a substantial increases in suicide, cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. Today's plague is electronic communication infrastructure, and until we recruit enough believers, no one will make it safe. Did you know the call centers at Verizon, AT&T, and Comcast have no cell phones! All their phones are hard wired.
Rob States purchased this House in 2012
Why Rob States chose Nevada County
This location has negligible background radiation from cell towers because it is in a ravine that shields it from all but one tower, that is over 2 miles away through heavily forested terrain. In addition, the location has a 12 month stream that generates torsion fields which are both relaxing and therapeutic.
What makes this House unique
In addition to low EMF, its environmental footprint is tiny. The dome is primarily heated and cooled passively. The dome's water supply comes from a deep well that tests zero for heavy metals, agricultural chemicals, and residual pharmaceuticals. It is delicious, and a real treat when compared with tap water, or even reverse osmosis filtered water. Visit the Dome and take a vacation from fluoridated tap water, pfthalate laden bottled water. and 'health drinks' laced with GMO corn syrup, aspartame, and chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons.

This was the perfect solution for our crew working in Grass valley for the month. They really enjoyed everything about the house and it was 1,000 times nicer than putting them up in a hotel somewhere. Thank you!!!
Over all picture perfect.
I have to say it was better when the WiFi got turned off. This is definitely the get away from literally, EVERYTHING. No neighbors near by so you don't exactly have to whisper outside, you can even see all the stars in the sky and hear the creek with the crickets and toads below. It has trails going in both directions for the cabin to walk on (they get narrow). If you want quiet and isolation from everything, this really is the place.
Only downside I'd had to say is that there wasn't a BBQ and only 2 of the 6 tiki torches worked. Dishwasher was acting funny too. Didn't bother me though. Washing by hand has never killed anyone before thay I know of. The AUX cables weren't working either. Ok though because in the end, no music was so much more nice. Definitely am going back in the future.
The Dome House is a very nice place to stay. Beautiful view of the trees. Nice short walk down the path listening to the creek...
Really nice experience at the Dome. Rob was available to answer questions and even made a video to help us manage the electronics. We never did figure out how to turn the surround sound on upstairs but that was probably our own ignorance more than anything else.
Overall a wonderful spot and a peaceful stay!
We had a wonderful time on this quiet dome. It is very peaceful and fully equipped, perfect for people trying to get away from the city noise. Would highly recommend staying a few nights.
