About the property

Welcome to our Ridgeview home, located in a prestigious yet family friendly neighborhood in Aptos. Nested on a knoll at the end of a private road, this estate provides privacy and lots of parking. You will find yourself admiring the view out of floor-to-ceiling windows providing panoramic costal views of Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz County.

This large 4,000 square foot luxury home is fully furnished and stocked with everything you need and can easily accommodate up to four families. The property is conveniently located within 4 miles of restaurants, grocery stores and local beaches.

This estate has 4 oversize bedrooms. Inside the home you will find 3 ½ bathrooms. There is also an additional bathroom located off of the sun deck for your convenience when entertaining outside or wanting to enjoy some time in the hot tub. This home is spacious and clean inside and out.

There is a large dining room which can comfortably seat 16 people at a solid wood dining table made custom for this house. You’ll also find 2 additional tables that each seat 6 in both the kitchen nook and outside on the patio.

The living room has high cathedral style ceilings and a beautiful ocean view, a wood burning fireplace and a 55” TV and DVD player. The great room and dining room all flow together making a wonderful place to gather.

We have 2 beautiful master suites. One is located on the second floor with a king bed & 2 twin beds. The on-suitebathroom has a tile-tub/shower combo made from custom imported tiles from Italy. It’s equipped with a flat screen TV and expansive ocean views and a sliding door leading out to a deck. The second master suite is located on the main floor with a king size bed as well as a trundle that can sleep 2 on twin beds and a private bathroom. The main floor master is wheelchair accessible as well as the shower located inside the room. It also has a large 55” TV.

The 3rd bedroom located upstairs has a king bed and 2 trundles sleeping 4 more on twin beds. The 4th bedroom located upstairs, has a king bed and 1 trundle that can sleep 2 on twin beds. Both bedrooms are equipped with a flat screen TV and have expansive ocean views and a sliding door leading out to a deck. These two bedrooms share a large bathroom with a shower.

A sitting room is located upstairs with amazing ocean views and is a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of coffee, read a book or just sit and relax.

The 4th bathroom is a half bath located right off the entry and living room and does not contain a shower. The 5th bathroom mentioned earlier is located off the covered sundeck which does have a shower.

Our kitchen is fully equipped. We have place settings for 18+,

Refrigerator, microwave, oven, electric cooktop, dishwasher and trash-compactor.

All though I don't own this property, I have lived in Santa Cruz all of my life. My daughter and I love to travel the world but we always love coming back home to Santa Cruz. The panoramic views of the coast from the balconies are beautiful. Grandious and comfy with a large dining room to fit everyone for dinners. Comfortable beds, wonderful decor and Crystal is so nice and goes the extra step to make sure your stay is pleasurable. (Review moved from old listing)

Spacious, beautiful home- great for large families/groups

We stayed here for a multigenerational family reunion (ages 5-80), and had a wonderful trip. The home is decorated beautifully, and very spacious and clean. Lots of room to spread out in, huge dining table, comfy beds, and plenty of towels. The Great Room is larger than it looks in the photos, with lots of windows. The great views from the deck were enjoyed by all, and it was a good location- away from the crowds, but nothing was too far to drive to. Groceries and restaurants conveniently located. If planning beach days, would recommend bringing your own beach towels/gear because the house doesn't have them.

Crystal (manager) and owners were amazingly responsive to minor issues (BBQ replacement needed and screens/sliding doors sticking), and no problems with rental paperwork/communication. Kitchen was well-stocked and laundry machines were appreciated. Overall it was a great home! Would stay here again.

Beautiful, roomy, and private home that is great for large families!

The property was perfect for our family trip. We had 15 people in our party and there were beds for everyone and enough bathrooms to accommodate us easily. We all thought the beds were very comfortable. It was wonderful to have a large kitchen so we could cook breakfast every day before heading out to enjoy the area. All 15 of us could fit around the extra large dining room table! The large backyard was great for playing outdoor games with the kids, and the large great room was perfect for our family game night. Mark (the owner) was helpful in giving us tips on local hiking trails. We really enjoyed the Forest of Nisene Marks for hiking, which was just a couple of miles away. The whole rental process was easy and Crystal was very fast at replying to any questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend this beautiful property!

The Perfect Spot

The house was spacious, clean and perfectly suited for our family reunion. The site is close to shopping and the beach, and the view is lovely. There was plenty of seating for everyone, and the big table in the dining room was perfect for all the games that were played. Everyone was very impressed by the house.

Our Week at the Villa

We throughly enjoyed our vacation week - July 8-16th - in this beautiful location. The home is spacious, charming and thoughtfully decorated. We called it "The Villa" We have 5 adult children and their spouses and 4 grandchildren - 16, 14, 6 and 4 years old. The house could be more of a challenge for smaller children - there are many stairs and even though my grandchildren are well behaved, we did move several of the decorations, as was suggested in the home notes. Not everyone was there for the entire week, some of our family members came and went because of jobs. On the weekends, everyone was there and we were happy for the space, although we never felt crowded! 2 of my daughters, my 4 grandbabes and I were there the entire week. The large dining room table - hewn from logs - was a favorite. Several activities could be taking place at the same time - 1000 piece puzzles, art activities, reading, and writing. The view from the table was beautiful. The fog rolled in several of the mornings and we loved seeing the wildlife. The full length, back deck was another favorite spot for meals and visiting and playing games after dinner - right up to the 10:00 pm curfew. We also played several outdoor games, including soccer, badmitten, volleyball on the grassy area below the deck. The hot tub was perfect. Being a private location, afforded us the luxury of parking several cars right there on the property and it was never crowded. We also appreciated the indoor/outdoor carpeted porch area between the garage and house - perfect for ice chests, beach chairs and towels. Having 2 refrigerators was very convenient! We used them both! The kitchen is well stocked and over time, visitors have left many canned goods and condiments, spices, etc. in the cupboards. We were remiss to use these, uncertain of their origins, so we put everything that wasn't ours up on the high cupboard shelves and put our own meal supplies on the lower shelves. The bedrooms are airy and comfortable. All of them have great views. Opening the upstairs sliding doors brings the sea air right into your room. The beds are comfortable - lots of closet and drawer space. There were plenty of towels for everyone - we washed and dried them a couple of times while we were there. If you rent this home, you will not be disappointed and many thanks goes to Crystal, the property manager. She is courteous, easy to work with and very accomodating.
