Shasta Lake Log Cabin

Bedrooms 2
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Bunk Area, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

While rustic in nature, this is not Abe Lincoln's log cabin. Well furnished and fully equipped it is our favorite place to relax in comfort. Less than 5 minutes from two boat ramps and 1 mi. walk/drive to lake access.

The two bedrooms have comfortable Queen-size pillow-top beds. One of the bedrooms has a private bathroom with a granite-tiled shower, the other shares the main bathroom through a separate entrance. The kids will be happy to hang in the 'bunk-house' which is located in the center of the cabin. The bunkhouse will comfortably sleep five in a set of bunk beds, a single trundle and a full sized futon.

The kitchen is right out of the 1950’s complete with an antique gas stove and is completely equipped right down to a variety of spices and staples.

Lots of space outdoors for games and parking.

Shasta Lake Log Cabin

Grants Pass, Or

Lovely cabin, rustic but modern, easy access.

  • 4 of 5

This is a very charming 2-bedroom, 2-bath cabin with extra sleeping with 2 bunkbeds and pullouts for more. The furnishings are antique and make you feel as if you have gone back in time when the cabin was built. The kitchen is well equipped with a cheery cherrie red and white theme with a huge fridge. My daughter and I had fun cooking (mostly she!) and very roomy. We were very relaxed, went to Lake Shasta to boat and fish at Antlers Resort which was easy to get to. We missed seeing a bear that had visited the morning we arrived! even though there was highway noise, we didn't notice it after a while outside and you couldn't hear a thing inside the cabin. We were so relaxed there! There was a little trouble with one of the air conditioners, but my husband cleaned out the filter, and after running it for a while seemed to have fixed it. The place was really clean. AMy, the neighbor, was very helpful. The only bad thing to say is that the lighting is poor in the main living room. We definitely will be coming back next year and will recommend it to others. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your "cabin in the woods"!

Great cabin, fun for the family

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cabin. Great place to stay and enjoy family time. Although it was just the 4 of us, it's definitely a great place for multiple people or a small group. There really isn't any close swimming areas, but if you talk to some of the locals in town they can point you to a great swimming hole and we lived there!! We look forward to staying again.

Best Vacation EVER!

  • 5 of 5

I decided I wanted to spend my 50th birthday with my family in a cabin in the woods and I couldn't have picked a better place. The description and the reviews are spot on. No surprises.

If you are looking for rustic, comfort and vintage this is the cabin for you.

We had our 4 year old grandson and our daughters dog with us. They had room to roam, run and play inside and out.

The cabin is minutes from, swimming, and boating, and just about any other outdoor fun you can think of. Shopping, dining and entertainment is just a short drive away.

We will definitely be back.

Nice house

  • 4 of 5

While I was some what concerned when the property was in a different location than the one pinned in the ad on VRBO. It turned out not to be a problem and freeway had no impact on our stay. Everything was as advertised and house was acceptable clean, the note about dust in the ad was refreshing and welcomed. The house was very well equipped and met all of our expectations. The manager was easy to deal with and responded quickly. Very nice time and property. Thank you so much for opening up your home to visitors. Everything went so smoothly.

Comfortable and Cute

  • 5 of 5

We were nicely surprised at how large the cabin was. It's fully stocked with pots pans , bowls, utensils and staples. Super easy to bbq, bake and cook in this cabin. Large table to eat meals, nice deck to sit on during summer evenings. The decor is so cute and warm. Deborah was very prompt in getting back to me with all the answers to my questions. One of the easiest vacation homes that we have rented.

Great Cabin close to the lake!!

  • 5 of 5

We live close to Portland Oregon and have made our annual trip to Lake Shasta for 6 years in a row! Of those 6 years we have stayed in the cabin 4 of the 6 years, The owners are great to work with and have never had any issues that wasn't able to be taken care of! Since my last stay at the cabin it has had some upgrades done, extending the deck, upgrade to Refrigerator, and bathrooms. The cabin is located perfectly in a location that its one exit north to the closest boat ramp and little grocery store for ice and gas for the boat. My family has enjoyed staying in the cabin and its set up with WiFi, Dish Satellite and 2 portable Air conditioners and 1 AC unit in the wall of 1 of the bedrooms. The temperature when we were there averaged over 105 degrees so getting to the water quickly was a must so having it be that close to the boat ramp is really nice! Even though the highway is close to the cabin it can be heard when outside but when your in the cabin you can't hear it at all. My kids love the cabin they like seeing the rabbits race up and down the driveway and the deer in the morning and the very colorful humming birds when drinking our coffee on the back deck! There is plenty of parking for trucks and boats and a very big fire pit for those who like to have fires in the evening, we didn't due to it being 70 degrees outside after coming home from the lake! I don't know what more to say other than we will continue to come to the cabin as long as the cabin is being rented out! It has truly become our home away from home and look forward to many more visits to the cabin!!
