Nothing fancy! but PRIVATE 1 Bed/1Bath "Garage Apt" with Private access. It's your very own "little cottage" completely separate from the main house. Single story, but with queen bed in sleeping loft (Picture the current, popular 'Tiny Home' sleeping lofts). Can accommodate up to 4 (ie: 2 couples or family with Kids old enough to sleep in Loft-Queen Bed.) If you and /or yours are nimble to climb ladder to loft queen, we can leave 1st floor set-up as your living room. (Call us for details or any questions) Completely, fenced in and dog-proof yard. We welcome pets case-by-case. Currently, long term-renter is moving out. UPDATE (09/17): HAD "Hoped to have new photos and be ready for your stay in mid-March 2017--Spring break!... BUT Unexpected family medical issues caused delays and now change of plans due to Hurricane Harvey. "KoKoMoToo" Micro-Cottage stayed high and dry in the Heights!...BUT plans to move furniture from our other property 'cratered' with Harvey! Accommodations may look different than in current pictures... Yes! We hope to post pics soon. Plans had been setting up a double/queen bed on 1st floor. Currently, queen bed is in loft and requires climb up ladder. Works perfectly for some--allowing first floor staying set-up as a living-room-- but maybe not working so well for others unable to ascend ladder. Contact us for more info...

Just a quirky, cozy, convenient, garage apartment in the heart of one of America's top 10 neighborhoods!! If you can do a loft for sleeping, like seen in "tiny-house" living, we can set you up with a desk and separate living area. Otherwise, queen EZ-air is your option.

A National Geographic article says 'stroll the area's broad, tree-canopied esplanades and side streets dotted with homes dating from the early 1900s and you may think you've landed in a small town.' John Nova Lomax said that the Heights, which he describes as 'Houston's own mini-Austin,' had many 'low-key' restaurants and beer gardens.'

Holiday & New Year's Greetings! We're pleased to announce " 'KoKoMo' Rentals & Retreats" is "landing" in Houston Heights starting early to mid-January, 2015! See sister property "Kemah Condo" (VRBO#469154) for a history of reviews of other "KoKoMo R n' R" experiences.

The "Heights Heights CrashPad Micro-Cottage, 'KoKoMo II' " is 'a gem in the rough' providing very simple, yet comfortable accommodations in a killer location! We'll be incorporating the 'Flight Crew & Pilot'-theme as we configure this micro-cottage. It may have three,separate sleeping areas for up to 5 people comfortably! Who knows--best to call us.

What we do know is this is the perfect little 'crashpad' convenient to so much Houston has to offer. Are you building in the Heights? Stay close or keep your crew close and over see the job conveniently. Antiquing and bistro hopping? Be walking distance to Heights 19th St. and we're only 2.5 miles from Washington Ave's --"landing strip" of 40+ eateries and a nightlife hub you can easily enjoy with 'The Wave" Jitney! Kayaking the bayou @ Eleanor Tinsley Park or Biking/Hiking the Heights Trail--all to downtown Houston? We're close with room to lock bikes and kayaks safely in the fenced-in yard, which is also dog-friendly! Scheduled for health care at M.D. Anderson or other Houston Med-center providers? Inner loop 'back ways' readily get you there without Houston traffic jams while enjoying the 'healthy lifestyle' the Heights Community was originally designed to be.

Parts of the Heights are still dry, fostering a large number of BYOB restaurants, ideal for those who enjoy their own selected wine. Washington Ave Restaurants, bars, music venues only 2 miles away! ANYTIME FITNESS within 1 mile. @ years later & still waiting on LA FITNESS, a mile away like MASSAGE HEIGHTS, SPROUTS, WAL-MART and hopefully, soon, Wholefoods 365!
