We live in a quiet town outside of Boston with our three children and dog. My wife and I both grew up in Boston suburbs and met at school at Babson College in Wellesley.
Tim Fessenden purchased this house in 2008
We bought this property just as we were growing our family precisely because we love the family friendly amenities and feel of Dennis. The beaches are absolutely gorgeous and yet safe for small children. The traffic is modest compared to busy towns such as Mashpee or Falmouth and the distance is very manageable, measuring roughly 80 miles from downtown Boston.
This home was a great base for us. Ample spaces include a large comfortable family/media room with endless cosy sofa.
Everything was sparkling clean and attractive. Neighborhood is green and was quiet and peaceful even on a summer holiday weekend.
A group of adults used the home as a base while attending a nearby meeting and it was terrific to have our
own place, with indoor and outdoor living spaces -- spacious deck --for after-hours conversations, late night reading, making coffee, and handy wifi, rather than staying in a hotel. It was a real home base. Tim the owner was prompt, helpful, and very well organized. We didn't get to enjoy the
surrounding areas but had we had time, Tim gave us a terrific handout with lots of things to do, beaches, and activities clearly described.
This house was perfect for our group. Some couples, some singles...it worked for everyone. The house has great space and plenty of comfortable spots to sleep. Everyone felt at home in Tim's place. We enjoyed the finished basement with bar, ping pong, darts etc. Great for grilling and hanging outside on the deck on a nice summer's night. You can't go wrong renting this place! Awesome location in Dennis, close to all of our favorite spots. Definitely will be back again!!
We had 6 guys staying for a short weekend to fish and golf. Place was great for us. Grill, ping pong, and plenty of room. We would definitely stay there again.
The house was clean and beautiful, and we found it to be just as the description stated. It had plenty of space, all amenities working great, was in a great neighborhood, and lovely backyard. Inside was very homey and comfortable. We had a great experience and would definitely stay again!
Structure of home was nice. I would liked to have given this home more ratings but one huge problem. The home was NOT clean. Perhaps we were the first to rent this home for the start of the rental season. It looked like the home owners just walk out of living there. While they are up grading the place and it is spacious. The owners needs to learn one of the first understanding of renting out there place and that is cleanliness is of the up most importance. The home was dusty, food in cabinets, refrigerator, and floor dirty, carpet had stains, and stainless steel appliances filthy, bathroom tub not scrubbed clean, clothes in draws, mice droppings along the floor behind furniture. While I hate to list all of this I only want those to be aware to make sure you don't experience the same. Owner was a nice person to deal with but when addressing these issues to him I got reasons and excuses, instead of ways to better compensate for the turn out. My only advice is communicate with the owner all your expectations before renting the place. It is a great place to rent but it would be an even better place if the home was clean just like the photos that are presented on the website.
This is a great find! The house is spacious and full of activities (since we were visiting in winter, beaches and golf were not as much of an option), including ping pong, foosball, and darts. The basement was super fun, and the sectional upstairs could easily fit our group of 9. The whole house set-up is awesome for a large group. The owner is easy to work with and very helpful. The house is close to local restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. We would definitely come back!
